Great video. On my B70 Orbiter, I found the alarm/countdown beeper barely audible. So much so, that it was useless. A lot less audible than my two Aerospace Evo's. My guess is that the balloon material is muffling the sound. I also had another problem that the hour hand was losing time, about a minute/day. So, it has been back in Breitling Service since May 31st. I was told on Thursday, June 27th, that they will repair the hour hand, but waiting for parts from Switzerland. They said they can't do anything about the alarm beeper. I told them I am willing to be an experiment and just take out the balloon material and see if it makes a difference. They said I should have the watch back by the end of July. Not sure what takes so long, but we will find out. I'm very disappointed with Breitling Service. Stay tuned . . . .
That's interesting. I refused the repair and the shop swapped for new so, I am on the second instance of the B70. And, this B70 is doing exactly the same as the first. It would appear Breitling have not tested the software in the watch correctly. I am waiting for a response from Breitling via the shop. If all fails, then it will be getting my money back - which is a real pity as I think the watch is wonderful
When I spoke with Breitling, they said they normally don’t replace the watch. In this case, I’m glad they didn’t, because there is obviously problem(s) with the watch, and, I’d rather have them try to repair it. They should pull the watch off the market until they figure it out. Very disappointing. I, too, love the watch. It’s too bad.
@@bankruptpensioner I got this from Breitling Service today: "The loss of time you experienced where the hands on the analogue have de-synchronized is due to excessive tension on the mechanical wheels of this electromechanical movement. To mitigate this issue, we are carrying out an intervention of a complete overhaul and a torque setting change to an aspect of the mounting tension on the movement to ensure freedom of the gears, this adjustment will ensure resolution to the hands coming out of sync." They said I should expect the watch back by end of July. Not sure why it will take a month, unless they are still waiting for parts from Switzerland and playing it safe.
@@RockyMoss-fn6pv Interesting, I have stated to the shop that I will keep my second instance of the watch until Breitling have fixed the issue, the issue you stated seems reasonable. Upon that being fixed in the manufacture process, I will then replace my second B70 with a further new B70, this being the third and final (hopefully). If now, the money will be returned I hope. Sad really but it is what it is.
That's a beautiful watch Richard, but it's way out of my pension budget fund. I can only afford a Timex or Casio or a Walmart Blue Light Special. Cheers!! Illinois
I shall do another video on this. I will try to do this over the coming weekend so keep an eye on the channel. Thanks for the ask, more than willing to show and share knowledge ❤
Hi TK, that is interesting. I assume you mean the audio on the video. I have just opened this video and strangely, the volume icon in the youtube screen was turned off. How strange. Have another look and click the volume button 👍
thank you
no problem 👍
