    Click bar blows doors on trust bar. Manually unwinding lines sucks and always ends in a mess if you loop your kite a lot. Clicking the depower is in precise increments. No stupid line to fumble with. Never going back to regular bar. My opinion.....

    I have been able to extensively use 2 bars in my life that is the core sensor 2 and the click bar. I personally prefer hands down the click bar, feels better IMO and the design is just so clean, plus you have a stopper in case you have a short arm reach. However I have to say lines quality on duotone is so bad and they tend to tangle so easily, I know just changing the light fixes this issue however for a premium bar you shouldn't have to do this. Apart from that I haven't had any issues with the click bar after a year of use such as rust or any of that.

      The sensor 3 looks so good. Kinda want that bar for my evo. In addition to that no worries for the lines would be great.

    Good video as usually! :) It would be interesting for many if you compare directly the 2 steering line depower bars currently on the market - Duotone's Clickbar vs Ocean Rodeo's StickShift bar.

      Hey Zlatko, Nothign planned so here is my opinion. Just my 2c here....but I prefer the Duotone Click. The function is smoother, the kite feel is more direct, the bar is lighter, the bar diameter is smaller and more ergonomic. One thing some riders like about the shift bar is that it has the option to really move the stopper up high for a crazy amount of depower travel. However, most kites won't benefit from that much depower anyway and you'd need crazy long arms to reach that far out. This coming from a lanky 6'3 dude ;) My biggest dig against the shift bar is that the size, shape, and material of the shift knob is prone to getting a line wrapped around it. As a rider who foils and rides waves a lot, that is a dealbreaker for me since my lines a slack a lot.

    I've heard that there are some issues with the clickbar that you can't move the bar forward when the bar is fully cranked. What's your take on this?

  • @finnm6249
    @finnm6249 4 года назад

    One thing I feel you missed is the variable Y... My buddy is flying core kites and I like duotone more. However it's nice to be able to switch the Y on the clicker bar so i can use his kites as well, but I don't really like the "bulky" feel of the bar. I'm fine with powering it with the middle section so the click doesn't give me much benefit besides precise depower.
    One additional thing I'd like you to talk about is line quality. I've read some things on the web and it's actually scary to hear about this bad line quality. Do you have any insight on this?

    • @8888zou
      @8888zou 3 года назад

      Yes... I have a click and though I like how it performs, the lines quality as well as the durability of all the plastics (bar rubber, bungees) is simply terrible. After only 6 months, the bar looks older than 5 years old Core bars!! A shame.

    • @finnm6249
      @finnm6249 3 года назад

      @@8888zou I actually bought the new version due to the usage of new lines...It's working fine for me so far. How ever I have to say, it's not possible to use the Click-Bar on the Core XR. I tried it intensely and I have quite some lower arm strength due to climbing. But damn. That bar pressure was insane. I was getting cramps after like two hours of riding an XR 10m with the trust bar in the right setting. (High Y I think, not sure anymore) It was almost impossible to ride for me - I'm not a professional so take this into account- I just got a used dice 10m and its perfect. Yes, its direct but you're not ripping your arms off.
      In the end; ClickBar isn't worth it for me. The new Core looks really good though.

    Hi Rygo
    Could you compare North Reach vs Duotone Evo?

    • @MACkiteboarding
      @MACkiteboarding  4 года назад

      Both are excellent freeride-crossover kites. Super-versatile. The biggest difference I find is the bar pressure. The Reach has more bar pressure and kite feel. The Evo has a lighter feel and will fatigue less for weak-armed riders on long sessions. Others in the shop will disagree but I prefer the Reach. Primarily because I like a little more bar pressure to feel the kite without looking.

      I asked the same question to the Duotone support. You have to change the whole floater😩. I don't like the rubber bands. They have been broken several times 👎

    • @8888zou
      @8888zou 3 года назад

      yep, their rubber bands are very badly designed. And their clips often"explode". Replacing them (50$ floater kit and a lot of work) won't help, since the new ones will explode as well. Just a piece of crap. It could be solved so easily simply by using longer bands. Have to replace them for the third time. Dealbreaker.

    Will the click bar work with other kites, such as the North Reach?

    • @8888zou
      @8888zou 3 года назад

      it should in theory... but for mysterious reasons (after of course changing the Y split to V split), it doesn't work as well as with the North Navigator Bar... less progressive feel... so I sold my click bar...I was also fed up with grip, rubber, and line quality issues. Spares are expensive, not easily available (try to find lines on your tropical spot), and it takes a lot of time to change anything.

      Emil Nikolov I have heard that from some people recently too. I’ve had a Duotone bar for two years that I used for testing and no issues. Same with our lesson bars.
