I wonder if we can get 3B1B to break this one down

hi man, i'm currently working on an IFS fractal visualizer in a popular platformer game called geometry dash, and these videos, as well as larry riddle's website, will be so helpful for me. the list of presets will be huge! thanks!

Glad this will help. Sounds like a cool project!

@@MathVisualProofs where would i look for a good, smooth coloring method for IFS fractals that's somehow representative of its self-similarity?

Nostalgic music. I would have loved to see the fractal evolve (if it does) based on the starting point.

Interesting idea! It doesn't really evolve using these rules... should always have this shape as the fixed attractor.

@@MathVisualProofs Hmmm, then maybe an animation showing how the fractal changes as the functions themselves change?

@@GU-jt5fe Yes. This is a good idea and something I have worked on... but I don't have it yet. The Larry Riddle site that is linked has at least one neat one like this.

1:58 That looks *strongly* like a Julia set, even though it isn’t, and did anyone else see the Russian flag?

Should I do an L-system version of this one? These type of videos seem less popular 🤷‍♂️

@MathVisualProofs I like all methods. Mostly I find it amazing how many solutions there can be to one form
