I do get the sense that Elle Fanning appreciates fashion in a way that other actresses don't. I'm not a fan of that style of dress but the neckline and the bows is divine and I adore that she knew how to pose for it to show it off.
I just thought about how costume designer are the most creative people and I would love to see that kind of fashion in the red carpet - because WHERE else could you wear it? Like some Game of Thrones/HOTD dresses would look so awesome in the red carpet with "unique, quirky and different" which the audience wants to see!!!!

her stylist is kate young, she works with selena for a long time now and she also works with dakota johnson and margot robbie. In the past she definitely helped shape selena as a fashion icon, but everyone is seeing lately how she has been slacking, all of margot looks are a miss and selena's are hit or miss but they are pending to miss, unfortunately :((

I *loved* Lily James's dress except for the damn lining. Seeing that stark line hit right above the knees really took away from the look for me, which is a big shame because it was otherwise stunning.

Came here to say the dress Selena wore was beautiful, however, that damn slip made me crazy because when she was on stage with Martin and Steve, that damn slip was visibly bunched up high on one side. If the slip was longer that situation would have been avoided, I think. The designer who made the slip decision- WOW! Do better by your next client. Selena will hopefully be in better hands for her next formal event and knock it out of the park.

If you watched the video when she presented one of the award, you can see her back, the inner layer was up to her waist, I wonder why no one told her about that

Interesting re Sheryl Lee Ralph's dress by Brandon Blackwood. I heard an interview with her from earlier in the day and she said she waited for a designer to contact her to dress her for the Emmy's. NO ONE CALLED HER! So this gown she found only a week ago. As she said, "The gown and I are new to each other, still getting to know one another." Considering all of that I think she looked amazing! Will be nice to see what Brandon does next.

Lizzo KILLED it. One of the few times I've seen a celeb wear a runway style and look better in it than the runway model. WOW. My issue with some of these looks is that they're not flattering! Megan Stalter's look for example - it just does noting for her. Sure, it's kind of a [likeable] middle finger which says "you don't have to be shaped like a model to wear these clothes" but it should at least be a style that is flattering. It might be the pic, but she doesn't look like that dress is making her feel good about herself. Nicole Byer - biggest issue --> don't wear a pair of pants with belt loops and not weat a belt! I would describe Sarah Paulson's top as a cropped serape. I think it is so mis-matched to the bottom that it loses any standout value.

I just want to pick the drape apart to discover where that left seam goes and how far in and how far up and what's the shape of the main drape panel and material physics are fascinating.
The “blobby-Ness” of Elle Fanning’s dress is a result of her leg pose. It’s quite obvious in one of The pictures you show - but hard to Pick Up because the black colour of the skirt is so deep.

I wonder what your take would be on tweed in Korean youth fashion. It's been gaining popularity for the past couple years. I'd say the first time I saw young people wearing it out was in 2020 but it was rare but I'm definitely seeing it more and more in small street fashion lines. Especially faux tweed through stitching or prints. There's actually been a few tweed looks I've wanted that have popped up here and there. There's this one small Korean menswear line that only really works in tweed, lace, chiffon, and randomly, jeans. They've had some interesting looks come up here and there.
You have ruined belts for me. I shook my head at every belt on the red carpet: unnecessary, unflattering and you did this. I used to love a belt whenever I wore pants-long or shorts, bringing in a contrast color.
