The most unusual aspect of this whole encounter- 5 cubs from one mom- the most cubs I ever seen from one mom. To even have them all survive, and be so healthy-rambunctious like this, is quite an accomplishment- great momma bear. I think the human mother really appreciates that

She's a housewife; she is not the one who will be begging her boss for overtime, so that she can pay to have the pool drained, hauled to the junkyard, the electrical fixed, the bear poop picked up, the toys replaced, and forget about a new pool, as the fence around the property will need to be patched, and probably replaced with higher, stronger fencing.

Since COVID, a ton of animals have made what seems to be a “comeback” around this area! I live in southern CT. Soooo many more bobcats, fox, deer, and even bears! Tons of bears, constantly see posts on my ring neighbors app, community forums, and not dangerous or threatening either. It’s nice. There’s very heavily wooded areas all throughout CT, Mass, NY, and NJ. A lot of people only hear about the busy cities though!

Daughter is a barely even old enough to understand, and Dad has a legit financial concern. Things cost money. Not everyone has that money to let bears play in their easily destroyed pool.

I’ve seen rabbits, foxes, deer, raccoons, skunks, and they’re all having fun here. Think my neighbors cat killed a rabbit once, but otherwise the place is just a haven for animals and humans alike.

@@_.jawaii._ it’s not that common for a mama bear to decide to raise all of her new borns. Most of the time she chooses 1-3 to keep and leave the rest to die. (It’s a struggle just to care for themself as it is)

you can buy new pool and stuff but the enjoyment seeing this beautiful animals enjoy and looks like no worry is priceless...
I would be delighted to see something like this! The cubs playing like little kids with the play set and pool is just soo precious. I love it
the human mother sounds nice. The bear mother is exceptional, raising 5 healthy cubs, who know how to have fun. The human child, how heartbreakingly sad to have no wonder, delight and excitement, but to focus on a bit of inflated plastic. I hope she learns compassion from her mother

*5 CUBS???* Oh my god??? Wow, the fact that they’re pretty big too. I hope all of them grew up healthy and happy. But god that moment when I saw mama play with the plug I got so scared I actually screamed out “NO!”😭❤️
