इस सॉनेट का भावार्थ समझ कर इसका उर्दू तर्जुमा किया है। आपकी शान में पेश है -
कहो न इश्क़ उसको इश्क़ कि जो,
मुसीबतों को देख घबराए।
उसे भी नाम इश्क़ का नहीं दो,
जो बदले वक़्त तो बदल जाए।।
किरण समझ इसे वो रौशनी की,
भटकने जो नहीं दे राही को।
कि जैसे ध्रुव - तारा हर किसी की,
मिटा दे रास्तों की स्याही को।।
अलामतें नहीं बदन की ये,
बिगाड़े वक़्त की रवानी जिसे।
असास ए काइनात है इसी से,
समझता किसलिए तू फ़ानी इसे।।
अगर ये बात हो ग़लत साबित।
