No dude onyx 5 and 6 is really amazing overall its impressive and that bass is so jaw dropping when you hear it but when you talk about bass the best category to tell is power and JBL is known for that aggressive, invasive and kicking bass
What I love about the Studio 5/6 is at ALL levels, the bass is outstanding. I live in a townhome and can't play my music too loudly, so it's nice to hear bass w/ out having to crank loud.

You need to watch videos about a comparison, the onyx 5 is better at lower volumes, but for real parties you need the partybox because of it's crazy bass
When golden crates was playing, you could hear those nice low bass notes and that's the bass you need in a speaker. You can say that it doesn't matter if your a small speaker user... Until you hear it yourself, you just can't go back anymore, I have charge 3 but it's just laying in the closet now, I just can't listen to it anymore.
I heard a little girl of 14 years playing a Studio 3 I was amazed by the bass response. They should build the studio 6 with ac wired. The battery life?? We will need to replace the battery soon. So more$$$$

I'm searching for a bassy bluetooth speaker to ride along in an S2000. 8:02 I'm comparing these using some Sony MDRXB700's (deep bass), while the HKS 6 is absolutely the absolute winner for me, I think it would just tip over in my passenger footwell on a spirited cruise (can you lay it down?). I still haven't pulled the trigger though, the lack of battery life is a major setback on the HKS 6.

I own an onyx 6 and the bass department of the speaker is closer to the boombox at 0%-65% volume. As for bass, any xtreme iteration can't compete with the studio line after the studio 5.

Im not a fan from the Studio 6 but ive gotta admit its a beast for cool and chill home speakers :) I have a bb2 cuz im like 17 y/o and i like some loudness for indoors and heavy bass and the Studio didnt got that loudness :/ but the bass hmmm pretty much close to the same but bb2 way louder due to size
That's weird...I have the BB1/BB2/S5/S6 and both the S5 and S6 beats the BB's when the S5/S6 are plugged in. Yes, the BB2 does get louder, which makes it better for outdoors. I only wish the S5/S6 sounded the same without AC power. :(

Maybe the trick that harman kardon use is have very big speakers with only A BIG driver and 2 tweeters in the onyx studio 7 JBL makes a little bit smaller speakers but louder

On %60 volume, jbl is sounded flat to my ears, onyx 6 is more deep, rich and full bodied so it sounds more enjoyable..(low freq.) and with max volume, in my opinion jbl is just pushing the mids and highs so much and it is so disturbing for my ears, on the other hand harman is more natural, and it keeps that rich full bodied sound without disturbing my ears. So? telling that “Jbl is louder!” İs just a garbage , if it is fucking my ears :/ good job 👍🏻 all my vote is for harman👍🏻
@@nicabc what kind of backpack is that? My Xtreme 2 takes up half the space in my backpack so there's no way that H/K fits in there. Even if it were to fit in your humongous backpack it will take up all the space inside there that's not practical

@Mythical Skyline I am a personal trainer and I coincide a lot in a street gym with a colleague who happens to have the Harman studio 6, we have compared them and the extreme 3 is heard above and more clearly, it is a matter of ears and tastes, I worked in a company specialized in sound equipment and I have to say that the Jbl is not the panacea at all, it colors a bit, but when you plug it into the power it is spectacular, try looking for a waterproof, dustproof speaker, with 15 hours of playtime (8 hours at full power) and a weight of 2 kilos and so small ..... Difficult choice, but I repeat it is a matter of taste, the Harman I do not see it for street use, I see it more for home ... I love the studio 6 and I was about to buy it, but for the use that I wanted it lacked autonomy and the volume was a bit large, for that I had taken the Jbl boombox .... I compared the studio 6, the extreme 3 , and Marshall's Kilburn 2 and it was a tough choice, but in the end for general parameters I opted for e l Jbl, am I 100% happy? The answer is no, but I know there is nothing on the market with those parameters.

@@franzwolf2444 if buy two onyx 5 or 6 or one onyx 5 and one onyx 6 you can connect them and play them in stereo. You just need to press and hold play/pause for a few seconds when both are connected
too exaggerated bass on Studio 6 and it muffles out the definition of mids and treble while the Xtreme 3 has the more balanced sound quality. And also not that surprised about the Xtreme 3 being louder because even the Xtreme 2 is already louder than the Studio..

tbh it's less portable and not really focused on being an outdoor speaker.

No, its comparable to the boombox 2 at those volume levels, not the boombox. The boombox doesnt go anywhere that deep.

The JBL Xtreme 3 has a cleaner, higher-pitched sound, but the Onyx 6's bass is very good !. So I prefer Harman

@@franzwolf2444 if buy two onyx 5 or 6 or one onyx 5 and one onyx 6 you can connect them and play them in stereo. You just need to press and hold play/pause for a few seconds when both are connected
Studio Is te king in bass
What i disslike on HK onyx studio 6 is just on the battery life is so poor with that big body, that is why i move to jbl extreme 3.

too exaggerated bass on Studio 6 and it muffles out the definition of mids and treble while the Xtreme 3 has the more balanced sound quality. And also not that surprised about the Xtreme 3 being louder because even the Xtreme 2 is already louder than the Studio..
Balanced is the last thing you want to talk about with the xtreme series.
The Xtreme 2 is louder then the Onyx 6 but not better sounding
