Gabriel Sutherland the cosmic week doesn’t begin in 2027. The cosmic week is a name for the 7000 years of earths history, which the 6000 years will end, says Walter Veith, on 2027 AD. I believe we are at the end as well, because of all the signs. Jesus did not give the cosmic week as a sign, nor did Ellen white. And God told us specifically through Ellen white that our message is NOT to be hung on time, and we should avoid saying anything that about time that leads people to get excited.

You speak of day and hour, Walter spoke of a year, he made it clear that it could not be precise. He said 8 times he is not setting time. I’d listened/watched the video and really WV gave no time setting as dd/mm/yyyy. He merely “pointed” to a time frame of 2027 based on facts (fall of Adam up to the baptism/start of Jesus ministry in AD27 as 4,000 yrs; and the 6,000 yrs based on the start of controversy with Satan on this earth up to the time when the earth will be restored) - all quoted from SOP. I am thankful to God for using WV for arousing my soul about the nearness of Christ’s return in view of the current events. It helped me experience true revival in my faith, not out of fear but out of love for my Lord Jesus. I think it’s pure insanity to believe that Jesus could come “yet” in so many years from now, when we know what this pandemic has done to our lives and that the New world Order is right before us. What EGW had said in the 1800s about those time setters may not apply to our time of 2021 considering the events that are happening before our very own eyes. I have watched many videos of Walter Veith ,and I have never got the the impression that he has given a time or a date. I got the impression that we should always be prepared and expect the Lord to come now because we do not know the hour or the day of His coming.

I've listened to WV's presentation on this matter 3-4 times, to be sure I know what he says and to allow the HS to guide me in wisdom. I've listened to your presentation twice. Quoting EGW was good, but WV hasn't predicted a definite date, day or time. Though you alluded to the latter, you still are accusing him of doing so (take caution as double talk is what the Devil does). Pastor Walter Veith did not set any date for the Second Coming. His sermons are biblically sound and very important for the church in this time in history. I find it to be unchristian to mischaracterize the words of Pastor Veith.
I appreciate what you're trying to achieve in this video, but at the same time I think you're twisting a lot of what Walter Veith is trying to teach in his lecture. The essence of this message is for people not to look fast upon the date of 2027...or a few years earlier. All this message is trying to achieve, is to tell people that truly the time is SHORT. Even if the 4,000 years were NOT exact, the fact the Spirit of Prophecy outlines a definite period of 4,000 years, is worth taking into consideration. Whether it's 5-years earlier or 15-years later, does it really matter? Either way, the time is indeed short. We know we are in the 4-watches period the Bible outlines in Luke 12:38, and the 4-watches period is no longer than a generation. Jesus Himself said that the generation that will witness ALL the signs He outlined in Matthew 24, shall NOT pass until ALL is fulfilled, and therefore, the Bible also outlines in Luke 12:38 that we will be found WATCHING...meaning, we shall realize we are at the end...we shall realize that we are truly the last generation....and we shall realize Christ is about to come within our generation. This is exactly what I took from Walter Veith's message. You cannot believe the cosmic week and ignore the 4,000-year period clearly outlined by the Spirit of Prophecy. What would your interpretation be if you had to take the cosmic week and combine it with the 4,000-year period given, when Christ was in the desert, and you add the time to it that has elapsed since then until where we are today?? If that insight doesn't let you sit on the edge of your seat, then nothing will. Taking this into consideration, yes, the time is indeed short. So short, it's guaranteed to be within your lifetime if you're not at an age nearing death. That is the message I personally got from this lecture from Walter Veith. I also think it's only fair that your show people the video Walter Veith made after the backlash he received from people like you. I've watched him from his first post of his testimony and I thank GOD for his ministry every day. I am not a super intellect but I am smarter enough to know one when I hear one. I am a Adventist. Only been one for about 13 years. Sadly I've heard folks talk down about Mrs White, Kenneth Cox and a few others and I just don't get it. I've had folks in a Portland church tell me that brand new Adventists are a dozen shades of annoying "'cuz they are just too excited and isn't it grand to be born into the church ". They didn't know that I was passing through Portland and brand new AND excited myself. The higher I go in this church the LESS excited I am. We need to invite Him to change us and to cover us with His Righteousness. We need the power of God to change, but we'll not have it if we're not spending time with Him. Preaching doesn't work as well as living a Christ like life--which we can only do with God's power and the faith of Jesus. 🙏😇🙏 Prayers that we are daily walking with Christ so we'll be ready when He returns. And pray daily that the Holy Spirit impresses us "how and to whom" to witness of His gospel. Sometimes meeting someone's physical or emotional needs shows them Christ more fully, and opens the door for witnessing more powerfully and effectively-- that's what Christ did, and we can do it also as God empowers us!
15:59 Watching this video again, I just wanted to point out a couple of new things I noticed. Mr. Veith claims that an old English version is the correct reading of the passage reads, "But of that day, no man MAKETH KNOWN...". But if we want to find out the true interpretation behind that verse, we need to go to the Greek, not the old English, I'm sure Mr. Veith knows this already. The original Greek words used for "no one knows" in Matthew 24:36 are "oudeis oiden" which actually means "no one is aware" thus being translated as "Concerning that day and hour, no one [oudeis] is aware [oiden]..." Therefore, the KJV, NKJV, ESV & MEV are correct in their translations: all humanity does not know the time of His return. 19:49 Also, there is a valid reason why God (Jesus Christ), who is naturally all-knowing would not know the day not the hour of his Coming; "but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men." (Philippians 2:7) Jesus stripped Himself of His divine splendor and glory and took on the full mantle of humanity. Thus, He limited Himself and had to grow in knowledge and wisdom like man; otherwise His mission as the Messiah would've been in vain. It's that simple really...
You are referring to Christ while on earth. Christ has been back in heaven for nearly 2000 years. Not sure you can compare what Christ knew while on earth with what he knows now. But God and Christ have chosen NOT to give us the exact Date, Day, or Hour of His return. That doesn't mean that we won't die BEFORE His return,--thus needing to be ready always. It also doesn't mean that Christ's return isn't just around the corner. Has anyone not thought how interesting that the flood happened at 2000 years, and Christ's ministry started at 4000 years? Not sure it was exact to the Date, Day, Hour from when Adam and Eve first sinned. But it makes sense that Christ would return at 6000 years--but the Bible teaches us the the time could be cut short or it could be extended....(and W. Veith says this also). He says too that we must always be ready; that we need a relationship with Christ. There's another South African preacher who says we must follow EGW's guidance about the Adventist Home, and if we don't (I think a huge majority don't) work to build an Adventist Home, then we'll not only not be able to preach the 3 Angels Messages with power, but we may find we're not among the Wise Virgins, and we may find we're not able to stand in the time of the passage of the Sunday Law mandate. I don't hear ANY OTHER SDA PREACHER calling SDA members to follow EGW's guidance on the Adventist Home or this message, but EGW has a lot to say in the matter! Let's start concentrating on allowing Christ to Sanctify us and our family units on a daily basis!
Overall, I agree with you, brother Todd. I personally think, as a 23 year old man, that Jesus might return in my lifetime, but I'm not placing my opinion above Scripture. Jesus clearly said, "No man knows the day or the hour..." It would be fantastic if the Lord did return in my lifetime, in 2027, or even earlier. We should be studying the signs surrounding The Second Coming that we remain watchful, but we SHOULDN'T be trying to prophesy the specific time of The Second Coming; we can't outsmart God. If He simply said no one knows, then that includes us too... In regards to looking forward to His return, Jesus gave us one command we should all be doing, "And what I say unto you I say unto all, WATCH." (Mark 13:37)
"Know not the day or the hour" yes you're right, you really need to let that sink in, if you did you would realise it did not say year. I watched his entire video he never once set a single time for Christ return. Stating that Christ has to come before 2027 is NOT TIME SETTING. Jesus himself always used this type of language. "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled" spoken by jesus in Mathew 24:34. In the Bible a generation is 40 years. So jesus was saying basically everyone within the age of 0 to 40 years old now will not die before all things concerning Jerusalem prophesied by the prophets will be fulfilled. Interestingly just as he said, Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD, 37 - 40 years later from when Jesus said that (some people between the age of 0 and 40 on earth at the time jesus said that we're still living when Jerusalem was overthrown). So when Jesus made that statement was he Time sitting? No. You have to understand what Time sitting truly means. The Bible says that no man know the day or the hour of the coming of the son of man, DAY and HOUR those are Pacific. It is wrong to set a pacific time on Christ's return. You have to define time setting from the way the Bible says not from modern dictionaries. if you use time sitting in the way modern dictionaries do, then technically it is Time setting to say Jesus will come back a second time at all, because according to the dictionary Time setting is also saying that something will happen in the future in general. Like if I leave my family house and say I will come back again that is technically time setting, true it may be in the dictionaries but it is not in God's eyes neither should it be in ours. With that being said i am sorry but nowhere in the Bible or in the spirit of prophecy do I find evidence that there is something wrong with setting a time fram or knowing the time fram of jesus return. This guy who you are accusing never spoke from his own behalf he always spoke in reference to ellen g white or the Bible, everything that he said was not from him but from Ellen g white and the Bible btw. I personally believe that God's children are to know the time frame in which Jesus must return because it makes sense. What teacher would tell their student to prepare for a test that can happen at any time? Any good teacher would at least give a time frame if they don't know the Pacific time. You see God's people never knows everything we always learn new things. The Bible validates this, stating that at the end of Time knowledge of the prophecies will be increased.

Appreciated I think you are confusing the message that Walter Veith has presented with respect to the 6,000 years. Walter never told what Date Christ can come, he has only pointed out that 2027 is the end of the 6,000 years and that there is a possibility that Christ returns before that date. But, he leaves the door open because he points out that Christ could come after that date. Now, you must understand what Ellen White and the Bible say with respect to the date, and not to lengthen the answer, Matthew 24:36 does not say that the date of the second coming of Christ will never be known, but, that, he unique That can reveal this knowledge is the father, not the Son or angels. Ellen White points out in the first written book (pages 15-17), that the 144,000 will receive that revelation and will know the day and time of the second coming of Jesus, and therefore, it is understood that this event can reveal the Father and Nobody more than him.

I believe you both but I'd rather accept Veith position due to the advantage it had than your position. Let us have 2 scenarios: 1.If did Jesus fail to come in 2027, What our Bro. Veith lost? Nothing. 2.what if he is correct and Jesus comes? what a painful experience to us who failed to regard the importance of the message of our time. It is true there is no exact time for Christ's return but Jesus spoke of how seasons can be read. One sign is the nation of Israel's rebirth, another is the son of perdition or Antichrist, and the falling away from the faith must come first before the coming of the Lord. So we have signs we can be aware off without knowing exactly the time when Jesus is going to come. The SDA have been wrong several times in the past so they better don't set any times or dates.

Scripture says we won't know the day nor the hour....doesn't say the year! It also tells us to be watchers. The things going on near his coming will give us a indication. Jesus says he comes AFTER the tribulations on Matthew 24:29-31 & Mark 13:24-27.... other scripture says he has to come lest there be no flesh saved!
Very informative and I agree that time setting is not Christlike, My question is what happens after the close of the cosmic week - when the 6000 year period ends? Will Christ allow Satan to continue his evil conspiracy into the cellestial sabbath? If 2027 is forcasted as the exact ending of the 6000 year period - can we sincerely believe that Jesus will allow Satan to defile the cosmic sabbath??? Lets forget about 2027 for a moment. Would it not make sense for the Ancient of Days to bring the saints of earth to heaven for the cosmic sabbath? Thus ensuring all that are saved are Sabbath Keepers. We thus end up spending the millenium in heaven with God on His cosmic Sabbath?? I don't know the answer, but I pray for the Holy Spirit to enlighten all - especially me to the truth.
The Bible says he is bound on earth for 1000 years, this is the millennium sabbath we spend in heaven then when we come back the dead are raised and Satan will try to take over the holy city coming down from heaven and that’s when the judgement begins and when satan will cease to exist
What if Veith is a jesuit dressed as an Adventist who exposes jesuits? I still can’t figure out how he knows so much about the papacy’s false doctrine yet he pushes the trinity like no other when it’s the worst doctrine that has infiltrated Adventism. I suspect, if not believe, that The Most High, YHWH, indeed does have His "appointed time" set for the 2nd Coming of Christ... Mainly because God works in repeated "patterns" given to us by the clues in His Word... For Example: Genesis 6 : 3 ... that "120 years", not only was the time period given from that point until Noah's flood... But did you also know that there are exactly "120 Jubilee years" ( Lev 25 : 10 - 13 ) within the time span of 6,000 years? ( 120 x 50 = 6,000 ). And there's also the pattern of Creation week, and the millenial reign of Christ ( Genesis 1 - 2 ... 2 Pet 3 : 8 ... Your presentation against the 6000 years discussed by Ptr. Veith is a classic case of truth mixed with error! Lethal and potent. You cite the Bible and SOP quotes. Yet, you are attributing statements to Ptr Veith that he did not make. He did not set exact time for the second advent. You are wrong. Deliberate or otherwise, I leave that to Truth. I believe we are at the end as well, because of all the signs. Jesus did not give the cosmic week as a sign, nor did Ellen white. I’d listened/watched the video and really WV gave no time setting as dd/mm/yyyy. He merely “pointed” to a time frame of 2027 based on facts (fall of Adam up to the baptism/start of Jesus ministry in AD27 as 4,000 yrs; and the 6,000 yrs based on the start of controversy with Satan on this earth up to the time when the earth will be restored) - all quoted from SOP. I am thankful to God for using WV for arousing my soul about the nearness of Christ’s return in view of the current events. It helped me experience true revival in my faith, not out of fear but out of love for my Lord Jesus. I think it’s pure insanity to believe that Jesus could come “yet” in so many years from now, when we know what this pandemic has done to our lives and that the New world Order is right before us. What EGW had said in the 1800s about those time setters may not apply to our time of 2021 considering the events that are happening before our very own eyes.

I appreciate what you're trying to achieve in this video, but at the same time I think you're twisting a lot of what Walter Veith is trying to teach in his lecture. The essence of this message is for people not to look fast upon the date of 2027...or a few years earlier. All this message is trying to achieve, is to tell people that truly the time is SHORT. Even if the 4,000 years were NOT exact, the fact the Spirit of Prophecy outlines a definite period of 4,000 years, is worth taking into consideration. Whether it's 5-years earlier or 15-years later, does it really matter? Either way, the time is indeed short. We know we are in the 4-watches period the Bible outlines in Luke 12:38, and the 4-watches period is no longer than a generation. Jesus Himself said that the generation that will witness ALL the signs He outlined in Matthew 24, shall NOT pass until ALL is fulfilled, and therefore, the Bible also outlines in Luke 12:38 that we will be found WATCHING...meaning, we shall realize we are at the end...we shall realize that we are truly the last generation....and we shall realize Christ is about to come within our generation.
This is exactly what I took from Walter Veith's message.
You cannot believe the cosmic week and ignore the 4,000-year period clearly outlined by the Spirit of Prophecy. What would your interpretation be if you had to take the cosmic week and combine it with the 4,000-year period given, when Christ was in the desert, and you add the time to it that has elapsed since then until where we are today?? If that insight doesn't let you sit on the edge of your seat, then nothing will. Taking this into consideration, yes, the time is indeed short. So short, it's guaranteed to be within your lifetime if you're not at an age nearing death. That is the message I personally got from this lecture from Walter Veith.

Only been one for about 13 years. Sadly I've heard folks talk down about Mrs White, Kenneth Cox and a few others and I just don't get it. I've had folks in a Portland church tell me that brand new Adventists are a dozen shades of annoying "'cuz they are just too excited and isn't it grand to be born into the church ". They didn't know that I was passing through Portland and brand new AND excited myself.

We need to invite Him to change us and to cover us with His Righteousness. We need the power of God to change, but we'll not have it if we're not spending time with Him. Preaching doesn't work as well as living a Christ like life--which we can only do with God's power and the faith of Jesus.
🙏😇🙏 Prayers that we are daily walking with Christ so we'll be ready when He returns. And pray daily that the Holy Spirit impresses us "how and to whom" to witness of His gospel.

15:59 Watching this video again, I just wanted to point out a couple of new things I noticed. Mr. Veith claims that an old English version is the correct reading of the passage reads, "But of that day, no man MAKETH KNOWN...".
But if we want to find out the true interpretation behind that verse, we need to go to the Greek, not the old English, I'm sure Mr. Veith knows this already. The original Greek words used for "no one knows" in Matthew 24:36 are "oudeis oiden" which actually means "no one is aware" thus being translated as "Concerning that day and hour, no one [oudeis] is aware [oiden]..." Therefore, the KJV, NKJV, ESV & MEV are correct in their translations: all humanity does not know the time of His return.

You are referring to Christ while on earth. Christ has been back in heaven for nearly 2000 years. Not sure you can compare what Christ knew while on earth with what he knows now. But God and Christ have chosen NOT to give us the exact Date, Day, or Hour of His return. That doesn't mean that we won't die BEFORE His return,--thus needing to be ready always. It also doesn't mean that Christ's return isn't just around the corner. Has anyone not thought how interesting that the flood happened at 2000 years, and Christ's ministry started at 4000 years? Not sure it was exact to the Date, Day, Hour from when Adam and Eve first sinned. But it makes sense that Christ would return at 6000 years--but the Bible teaches us the the time could be cut short or it could be extended....(and W. Veith says this also). He says too that we must always be ready; that we need a relationship with Christ. There's another South African preacher who says we must follow EGW's guidance about the Adventist Home, and if we don't (I think a huge majority don't) work to build an Adventist Home, then we'll not only not be able to preach the 3 Angels Messages with power, but we may find we're not among the Wise Virgins, and we may find we're not able to stand in the time of the passage of the Sunday Law mandate. I don't hear ANY OTHER SDA PREACHER calling SDA members to follow EGW's guidance on the Adventist Home or this message, but EGW has a lot to say in the matter! Let's start concentrating on allowing Christ to Sanctify us and our family units on a daily basis!
Overall, I agree with you, brother Todd. I personally think, as a 23 year old man, that Jesus might return in my lifetime, but I'm not placing my opinion above Scripture. Jesus clearly said,
"No man knows the day or the hour..."
It would be fantastic if the Lord did return in my lifetime, in 2027, or even earlier. We should be studying the signs surrounding The Second Coming that we remain watchful, but we SHOULDN'T be trying to prophesy the specific time of The Second Coming; we can't outsmart God. If He simply said no one knows, then that includes us too...

I watched his entire video he never once set a single time for Christ return. Stating that Christ has to come before 2027 is NOT TIME SETTING. Jesus himself always used this type of language. "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled" spoken by jesus in Mathew 24:34. In the Bible a generation is 40 years. So jesus was saying basically everyone within the age of 0 to 40 years old now will not die before all things concerning Jerusalem prophesied by the prophets will be fulfilled. Interestingly just as he said, Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD, 37 - 40 years later from when Jesus said that (some people between the age of 0 and 40 on earth at the time jesus said that we're still living when Jerusalem was overthrown). So when Jesus made that statement was he Time sitting? No. You have to understand what Time sitting truly means. The Bible says that no man know the day or the hour of the coming of the son of man, DAY and HOUR those are Pacific. It is wrong to set a pacific time on Christ's return. You have to define time setting from the way the Bible says not from modern dictionaries. if you use time sitting in the way modern dictionaries do, then technically it is Time setting to say Jesus will come back a second time at all, because according to the dictionary Time setting is also saying that something will happen in the future in general. Like if I leave my family house and say I will come back again that is technically time setting, true it may be in the dictionaries but it is not in God's eyes neither should it be in ours. With that being said i am sorry but nowhere in the Bible or in the spirit of prophecy do I find evidence that there is something wrong with setting a time fram or knowing the time fram of jesus return. Appreciated I think you are confusing the message that Walter Veith has presented with respect to the 6,000 years.
Walter never told what Date Christ can come, he has only pointed out that 2027 is the end of the 6,000 years and that there is a possibility that Christ returns before that date. But, he leaves the door open because he points out that Christ could come after that date.
Now, you must understand what Ellen White and the Bible say with respect to the date, and not to lengthen the answer, Matthew 24:36 does not say that the date of the second coming of Christ will never be known, but, that, he unique That can reveal this knowledge is the father, not the Son or angels.
Ellen White points out in the first written book (pages 15-17), that the 144,000 will receive that revelation and will know the day and time of the second coming of Jesus, and therefore, it is understood that this event can reveal the Father and Nobody more than him.

It is true there is no exact time for Christ's return but Jesus spoke of how seasons can be read. One sign is the nation of Israel's rebirth, another is the son of perdition or Antichrist, and the falling away from the faith must come first before the coming of the Lord. So we have signs we can be aware off without knowing exactly the time when Jesus is going to come. The SDA have been wrong several times in the past so they better don't set any times or dates.

Scripture says we won't know the day nor the hour....doesn't say the year! It also tells us to be watchers. The things going on near his coming will give us a indication. Jesus says he comes AFTER the tribulations on Matthew 24:29-31 & Mark 13:24-27.... other scripture says he has to come lest there be no flesh saved!
Very informative and I agree that time setting is not Christlike, My question is what happens after the close of the cosmic week - when the 6000 year period ends? Will Christ allow Satan to continue his evil conspiracy into the cellestial sabbath? If 2027 is forcasted as the exact ending of the 6000 year period - can we sincerely believe that Jesus will allow Satan to defile the cosmic sabbath??? Lets forget about 2027 for a moment. Would it not make sense for the Ancient of Days to bring the saints of earth to heaven for the cosmic sabbath? Thus ensuring all that are saved are Sabbath Keepers. We thus end up spending the millenium in heaven with God on His cosmic Sabbath?? I don't know the answer, but I pray for the Holy Spirit to enlighten all - especially me to the truth.

The Bible says he is bound on earth for 1000 years, this is the millennium sabbath we spend in heaven then when we come back the dead are raised and Satan will try to take over the holy city coming down from heaven and that’s when the judgement begins and when satan will cease to exist

Here we see Ellen White saying Jesus took on fallen human nature 4,000 years after sin. So that would be 4,000 years from the fall of Adam to the INCARNATION of Jesus, when He took on human nature.

I suspect, if not believe, that The Most High, YHWH, indeed does have His "appointed time" set for the 2nd Coming of Christ... Mainly because God works in repeated "patterns" given to us by the clues in His Word...
For Example: Genesis 6 : 3 ... that "120 years", not only was the time period given from that point until Noah's flood... But did you also know that there are exactly "120 Jubilee years" ( Lev 25 : 10 - 13 ) within the time span of 6,000 years? ( 120 x 50 = 6,000 ).
And there's also the pattern of Creation week, and the millenial reign of Christ ( Genesis 1 - 2 ... 2 Pet 3 : 8 ... Rev 20 : 4 - 6 )
Millenial Days 1 - 6 = Mankind works upon the earth ( Exod 20 : 9 )
Millenial Day 7 = Sabbath Rest in heaven ( Rev 20 : 4 - 6 )
Millenial Day 8 = the meek Saints return to "inherit" the "new earth", as foreshadowed in the "great 8th day" of the Feast of Tabernacles. ( Lev. 23 : 39 ... John 7 : 2, 37, 38 ... Rev. 21 : 3 - 6 ) ... and in the final "Jubilee" into eternity ( Lev 25 : 13 ).

Jesus Christ’s second coming “can be expedited” or it “can be delayed” until such time that it cannot be delayed any further. Both are SOP supported. Jesus could have came sometime in the 18th century but His people were not ready. His coming was obviously delayed.
Ptr. Veith’s presentation is consistent with the SOP quote that the Second Coming is in a state where it cannot be delayed anymore, otherwise, the prophetic testimony that Satan’s rebellion to control this world which spans 6000 years will be in disrepute. The Scriptures emphasize the “sure word of prophecy”.
well except all 3 uses of "know" in Mt 24 -25 in terms of knowing the day, hour, time, etc are in the present indicative - sorry charlie but tenses matter. The distinct year of Christ's return is given in Dan 12 but could not be deciphered until 1952 - yet the point isn't knowing when he would return - but knowing when he would return so we could prepare for what leads up to his return as he suggests - to have meat in due season for us and our household - the final countdown began in 2017 (the mourning part which we were to prepare for):
