There is never a week passes that i do not listen to this beautiful music. It reminds me of my late father. I always played this music in his company.

Just had the great pleasure of seeing Patrick in concert last Thursday. After listening to his cassette back in the early 80's, it was such a treat to see him live and meet him after the concert. Such a nice man, as well

I saw Patrick Ball in concert once back in the '90s. Throughout the show, he told a few longish stories, interspersed with a wide variety of tunes, and his storytelling was as spellbinding as this incredible music. An unforgettable, overwhelming evening! I wish I could find some live concert DVDs, or videos anywhere.

40 years ago and more, I fell in love with this man's music, played the cassette tapes til they fell apart, and then bought CDs and wished I could play the harp. Now, thanks to the magic of the internet and skype I am learning to play my very own harp. Thank you for sharing this music!

Being a harp student myself I am amazed by his interpretation of The Butterfly. The way he combines harmonies and weaves different sounds together is simply stunning. It’s hard to describe his music with words. What a beautiful soul and outstanding harpist!!!

My meditation "practice music' music when preparing for the birth of my third child...well it worked like a charm...almost to a birth without assistance. Amazing after two births prior..I only made it to hospital "in time". I just went into a sleep mode and apparently my breathing adjusted as I had contractions but I did not wake just when tremendous pressure happened did I go into alert mode at the critical transition time. To this day 37 years later this music puts me into a peaceful state.

This is always my first choice for my Sunday night bath, as it is again tonight.
Add some bee's wax candles, a strong cocktail in Waterford Crystal, and any stress I might be carrying from the week...fears, expectations, resentments, regrets...they just melt away along with the blood, manure, grease, and grime.
    Thank you, Patrick!

I started to study celtic music back in the 80s. I found Patrick’s music through some CDs. I even wrote some tunes in this style. But Patrick Ball is a Master, he knows how to manage the energy of those ancient songs.

The big difference with Patrick Ball's harp playing is that he is using a brass strung harp which creates a much more delicate angelic sound. It sounds very similar to a zither and still more sweet. I have one of his CDs for many years and the sound quality is really superb.

Thanks for the info. Also, I read he actually plays with his finger nails, something of an ancient Celtic tradition, maybe from the druidic bards.

The original Irish and Scottishharps, clarsachs, were wire strung and played with the nails. The nylon "Celtic harps" were invented in the early 19th. century. Hearing Pat4ic Ball live in 1986 literally changed my life.

@@byrguy1295 Look up Etuenne de Lavaulx. Considers are nylon. Guitar or chord zithers are wire. Also check out concert gusli videos and flutingspirit's plucked paltry videos.

ACCORDING TO THE TEACHINGS OF THE ASCENDED MASTERS ,THROUGH THE MESSENGERS MARK AND ELIZABETH PROPHET, THE HARP CORRESPONDS TO YOUR HEART CHAKRA OR SPIRITUAL CENTER IN YOUR BODY. THE HEART IS REALLY THE CENTER OF INTELLIGENCE WITHIN MAN AND WOMAN NOT THE BRAIN.OR MIND THAT IS WHY YOU FEEL SO HAPPY . AND IT IS THE MIUSIC OF HEAVEN.

    @pyrexbycorningcoffee,
Many thanks for sharing this beautifull Music with the Internet community!
Here are some remarks from my experience in the past with the recordings of Patrick Ball:
These are CD issues and they do not compare with the original LP releases from the past. I own some of the original Vinyl Records and I wonder: Where is the Bass? And on the other hand: The Treble is way too much!
Recordings of the Celtic Harp lower key Strings may sound for many people unreal, thinking it is electronically modified but it isn't! It is the original sound of a Celtic Harp. I think that is the reason why the Studios' Sound-Engineer modified the Tone Balance of the original recordings for CD, thinking he was doing the right way, but actually did harm to the music.
Fortunately you can compensate quit a lot if you play this great upload with an external Hifi-System. Set Tone Control for the Bass approx. +4db and Treble -3db.
    Enjoy!
