    Best review on this shoe ive seen yet. I own a pair and love it for recovery and as a lifestyle shoe. This shoe is built to last and it will become a great walking shoe once you've moved on to your next recovery shoe.

    This is a good shoe, little heavy, but the drop is too much for me. I think a 6 or 8mm drop would be better (maybe a little wider toebox as well)
    Enjoy your reviews

    A lot of hate on these shoes from youtube reviewers . I personally live saucony shoes . Been using the ride for years . Recently got clifton 9's just for walking on daily. I'll never not use a max cushion shoe for daily use again they are so plushy . Ive had a foot issue for a while and the clifton 9's and hoka ora slides are so nice on my foot.

    • @trailandkale
      @trailandkale  2 месяца назад +1

      Clifton 9’s are awesome. These Triumphs are great for heel strikers but I personally prefer running more on my forefoot so a lower drop works better for my style. But yes the cushioning is so good!

    I’ve seen lots of reviews saying that it’s firm, dead, too heavy. Would you say it’s more worth getting the 21s on sale? I would love to hear some input on that

      @trailandkale  3 месяца назад

      Oh yeah for sure if you can get the 21 in a sale go for it! It’s not a huge update really

    I know they have a different drop, however, compared with Books Ghost Max, do you think are equivalent or do you think are different in responsiveness?

    • @trailandkale
      @trailandkale  3 месяца назад +2

      Very similar in terms of cushioning but I prefer the response of the Ghost Max, and also the lower drop! The Ghost max is a great daily trainer. Review here: ruclips.net/video/5L-ugMIilZI/видео.htmlsi=ofw0iproZFMf_O30

    Hi! I’m looking for a shoe that’s good in the rain. I’m not looking for a waterproof shoe but a shoe that has really good grip on the ground (run mostly on the road) but is also very breathable so the shoe will “leak” water as I go throughout my day. Do you have any recommendations?

    • @trailandkale
      @trailandkale  3 месяца назад +2

      Do you prefer extra cushioning or more of a responsive shoe for faster runs? Or both??

    • @trailandkale

    • @JPRowli

      @@trailandkale I prefer max cushion and normally wear ASICS but I’m open to other brands too

    • @trailandkale
      @trailandkale  3 месяца назад

      @JPRowli have you tried the superblast from ASICS? The Hoka Skyward X is pretty badass too for speed and max cushioning.

    • @trailandkale
      @trailandkale  3 месяца назад

      @JPRowli also the On Cloudmonster hyper has an upper which is thinner than most high cushion shoes so it should drain water well. Reviews for them all can be found on our channel to learn more about them 👍🏼

      @@trailandkale it was the cloud monster! You know how the soledare kind of square. Well , that squared part underneath the ball of my foot has a distinct feel when you're rolling your foot. Imagine you put your finger under your shoe under the ball of your foot when you're walking. Like walking over a stick. That's what it felt like it was very weird and uncomfortable. I tried the v13. Too much like a marshmallow. Just standing still it felt like I was trying to balance myself and my foot muscles were getting exhausted and worked. The Clifton 9 was just heaven.

    What are the lower drop shoes you’ll recommend for long distance walking? Please and thanks

    • @trailandkale
      @trailandkale  3 месяца назад +1

      Hi there, my top recommendation for a high cushioned running shoe for walking long distances would be the New Balance 1080 v13 which has a 6mm drop (www.trailandkale.com/gear/new-balance-1080-v13-review/) OR the Hoka Arahi 7 which has a 5mm drop and good stability (www.trailandkale.com/gear/hoka-arahi-7-review/) - also both are reviewed here on RUclips, you can just use the search box on our channel profile. Hope this helps! -Alastair
