- This documentary is more about the people than the fishing -- about day-to-day lives that happen to have a connection with the sea.
Fishermen are in danger of becoming a dying breed, but they want their stories to be heard.
The purpose of this documentary is to find a way of repleacing initial suspicion with curiosity, acceptance and genuine interest to find out why they see themselves as the last hunters.
I really like this. I lived at sea for 4 years, so I can relate to the draw of the life style. Great film.
Great Job on this film! Having only moved to this area from America a few months back, I see similarities with the Gloucester Fisherman! I agree, bless them all and keep them safe. It's a hard job and they often go unnoticed!
Beautifully made film
Really nice video 👍🦀🦀
Outstanding video mate!
Great video enjoyed watching 👍🦀
Thank you!!
Just read the book and came back from Cromer this week. Good film.
Nicely put together documentary, must visit Cromer again
Great but sad, Cromer without Crab fishermen is unthinkable I hope that day never comes
Bless them all and keep them safe.
.
That was utterly beautiful. What camera did you use?
Hey there! Thanks for watching! I honestly can't remember...This was a university project we filmed in 2012 I believe. Can't believe you're watching it now...the power of RUclips! :)
@@MariannaInDubaiMay 2020 and I just watched it thank you I live in Norfolk

Sorry, but the music soundtrack is awful. There are plenty of vintage recordings of Cromer fisherman singin and stepdancing, why couldn't you use those.
Hey! Thanks for watching. This was a university project we filmed back in 2012. Soundtracks are from The Sheringham Shantymen which is a group formed for fun by some Cromer local lifeboat men and friends, who then decided to continue making music. They were happy to help us out with the project and letting us use their music. Sorry to hear you didn't like, we actually thought it was a great fit and I still do after so many years ☺️
I think it fits perfectly.
As a guy from Germany, who ownly knows English from scool, i have not really understood the guys talking. Is it a dialect or something? Or is it normal? :D
Great pictures. Nice peace of art in my opinion btw
@@josefd3493 Norfolk dialect. The accent and dialect words are influenced by Norse, French, German and Flemish languages.
@@charlierumoldboi3939 Its a great mixture i think. Just from the sounding. :D
