    SUMMARY
    - Mix up timings on ledge setups
    - Begin getups as opponents land with an aerial
    - Getup immediately if opponent is out of position
    - Reactive ledgetrappers stay grounded and use lots of shield
    - Mainly jump and drop off double jump vs reactive players
    - never aerial/nairdodge immediately after jumping against reactive ledgetrappers
    - use double jumps and late aerials/airdodges to cross up your opponent and get to centre stage
    - Players which move, attack and jump as they ledge trap are preemptively ledgetrapping
    - Use immediate aerials to catch opponents jumping/moving as they ledge trap
    - Use all getup options occasionally against preemptive ledgetrapping
    - Mix up drift after jumping from the ledge
    - Don't play overly defensive after getting up onto stage, escape the corner patiently (vid on this)!
    - Think about your opponents characters options e.g GnW could kill with d smash but not bair so jump
    - If your opponent is waiting near the ledge not in shield be wary of ledgetrumps
    - Never roll to avoid a ledgetrump/regret
    - Double jump aerial to punish opponents laggy moves instead of get up attack
    - Get up attack to punish opponents charging a smash attack or cover the ledge with a persistent hitbox e.g. Wario Chomp
This is a Super Smash Bros Ultimate tutorial on how to escape ledgetraps and return to stage. Please let me know in the comments if you learnt anything and what other areas of the game you would like me to go in depth into.

I've always looked for mid-level guides and wanted to know how to analyze top players. Most guides on RUclips are very basic. These guides are incredible for moving up to the next level of basics

Just watched this and your ledgetrapping video, and these guides are absolutely phenomenal. You've managed to put into words a lot of the stranger nuances of the game that are difficult to concisely explain without giving bad advice since all these ledge situations aren't exactly always black and white. Really appreciate you going out of your way to find all these examples, too. I feel like this info will stick with me a lot more than a purely audio/training mode guide because of that

Really needed this. My ledge options are one of my weak points and now, I have a clear way to start working towards alleviating them.

I think a video about edgeguarding would be great. When to pressure by staying between the opponent and the ledge, when and how to actually go out for an attack and probably how to avoid ending up in disadvantage.

Great video. I like how you have so many examples in slow motion and then show them at normal speed.

I remember in a previous video you said that people weren't sticking around for examples. Maybe if you talked people through what was happening during the examples instead of putting text on the screen more people would stay. I mainly say this because it's hard to read the text then analyze how everything happened without rewinding. Just a thought :D

I love that to make an example of expecting a ledge option versus having timing mixed up, Jordan just gets pelted by stuffed animals. lol

Since you’ve already done a video on aggressive neutral, can you do a video on defensive neutral?

    Track Name: "It's Near"
    Music By: Dj Quads
("[Non-Copyrighted Music] Chill Jazzy Lofi Hip Hop (Royalty Free) Jazz Hop Music" is the name of several video on youtube, so it took me several minutes before finding the right song)
