"I sorely miss Anchors Aweigh Teddy Boy Matte. The last jar purchased was on November 2, 2021, and when I got down to the last quarter of the jar, I purchased another. Yes, that stuff was that good and would last a very long time. Even the scent lasts. I’m down to the last 1/8th of the jar and the scent is as beautiful and strong as the day I first opened the jar. I’m sensitive to fragrance, and this is the only fragrance I’ve ever enjoyed without an adverse response . . . and I love the scent. Now that Anchors Aweigh has been bought and rebranded, I purchased (07/13/23) The Best Paste, Low Shine, Medium Hold that was supposed to be the same product; just rebranded. The paste is the same except without any fragrance whatsoever. Correction, it does smell a bit . . . like something from the garage that I’d use on drywall, woodworking or the body of a car; not my hair. I’m using it, but that small joy I got from the Cherry Mint fragrance is gone."
Hey Matt wondering if you can recommend something that is similar to what use to be called the Strong Hold Pomade from Anchors Aweigh? This was my go to pomade until the rebrand happened. Can’t get behind someone who charges 8 bucks more for 1oz less of product.
@@TDMStyle it was a natural shine with strong hold. What I liked about the product was how easy it was to apply to my coarse straight hair. The pomade felt like a thicker lotion that would just glide through your hair. Once in my hair, it would introduce a bit of waviness to my freakishly straight hair.
For sure! SPF is the best anti-aging product you can use - so a moisturizer with SPF is great, or you can get a lightweight SPF to go over your moisturizer. Either way is a good option.
Why is that odd? The only control I have over ads is to tell Google which categories of ads (i.e. politics, etc) to disable - the rest are just random based on whatever advertising formula they use I guess lol Edit: I feel dumb and didn’t realize the connection at first 😂

I never used that one myself. What were the specs on it in terms of feel/shine level/etc? Maybe I could still recommend something similar.
