Not surprising, Australia is ranked top 20 in the global index every year. Overall, you have a pretty good system over there.
I'm in Canada and we're also ranked quite high but we're too stupid to foster any kind of economy so we worry about tipping anyway lol
It depends sometimes, some restaurants give decent wages but the tips are split, and some pay jack shit and the tips are directly given to the serving staff. I’ve seen both, like typically chain restaurants tend to pay decent wages in terms of waiting staff.
