This is pretty useless. It’s not a review is it. It’s a PREVIEW. Using phrases like “this machine promises” is utterly useless in a review. A review should be what it actually does - not what the advertising states. We can read all that ourselves 🤦🏻♂️
I just bought the sony 700 for my 81 year old mom. I bought some 4k ultra hd movies. Wow fast easy load, fantastic picture quality. I even put some of her old dvd's that were not even blue ray and the picture quality was very good. Now i am going to buy one for myself
My personal preference is the Sony UBP-X700 Blu-ray Ultra 4K DVD player. Now I see why I'm such a big fan of the Sony play station series. The clarity is priceless! Especially if you're into the home theater sound!
Very- - Very good review on these products. I personally bought the Sony UBP-X700 recently and pleased to see it featured here. Thanks for this review and I shall return for others you may bring.
Warning to everyone! It doesn't matter how great you think a product is if it doesn't say 4K DVD player on the product/ box then it won't work on 4k DVD's ! Just a heads up after listening to some of the comments earlier!
I own the Sony UBP-X700 presented in this video. I'm shopping for a new player because the Sony sporadically emits a voltage spike when releasing a movie from "pause". The spike results in a loud "POP" through my speakers and I'm concerned about damage. I bought this player 2-3 years ago and I'm surprised it's still for sale. Thought they'd have something better by now.
Where to start? This isn't a review, it's just reading the label. You buggered up by including an Xbox One, you didn't even think to mention Panasonic (who started as a lightbulb company) and then you didn't give any comparisons or persuasions as to differentiate any products.
This list is all wrong. The best players right now are not these, but come from Pioneer and Panasonic. The best all time is the Oppo 205, which is sadly not being made any more.
@@Raidallinen76 actually Sony players are generally reliable but a few weeks ago my X800M2 just died and wouldn’t even power on ... it could be power surge thing but I’m not sure ... ironically my lower end X500 is still doing great (and currently replacing my X800M2) which in this case is powered by 12 volts DC and not full mains like the X800M2 so it should be resistant to whatever killed the other one
@@Raidallinen76 as far as I can tell the picture quality was perfectly fine but that also depends of the television itself and since I have a low end 4K Samsung 7 series TV I can't really give you the best review but it does have all the cards to be a good blu ray player considering that it also has Dolby vison (which is pointless for me since my TV doesn't support it)..... I'll eventually fix it since I'm not gonna throw more than 300 bucks in the trash 👌....
@@gabrielmiller9854 I also thought my tv is problem. But I tried 4K movie clips etc. from RUclips and Netflix. Picture quality is awesome. When I watch movies with Panasonic, quality is not near as good... I will try better cable, but I think its not solution... In my local shop, there is this Sony and Panasonic DP-UB820. Sony is lot cheaper.
Not a review but an advertising at all, Sony does not play Dolby Atmos for Netflix and Mkv files which is a big bump. It cannot play mts file smoothly via network even with LAN connection, worse player in my life so far🥴🙅♂️
These players are anything from the best of the best. They are very average and probably sell within the $150-300 range, and cannot be compared to a truly elite player like Panasonic UB9000. It's like comparing fillet mignon to hamburger.

I agree!
Wanted to write just that.

Most people start with #5 and go upto #1. So is the sony the best one or the 5th best in this list?
DAX ELDER
Cool name same as my son
jvpix_com well I’m pretty sure the Samsung is last because for one they haven’t made a Blu-ray player since last year.
@@joncarlos716 so the sony 700 which is known for its cheep build quality is the best player?
jvpix_com The Sony 800m2 is the one that should have been tested...much better build quality than the 700.
@@jamesorsby7553 but does build quality really matter? I mean its just going to sit somewhere and not move.
Panasonic anyday of the week
You didn't review Panasonic which I think is the best
How is there is no mention of the Panasonic blurays the 820 or 9000. The review needs to be upgraded.

Looking for the best: Sony 800 or Panasonic 820 - SIMPLE ! LG & Samsung ... get real son.
Which player is multi region capable?
I currently have a 3D Big Screen TV and a library of 3D movies, if I get a 4k TV, can I still view my 3D movies in 3D?
Where to start?

Poor reviews. More like an infomercial overview
I am trying to find a blue-ray player with a USB port for video and pictures and music. and the funimation app
Is there much difference from the samsung 8500 to the panasonic 8020?
Does anybody care if the player will allow you to zoom your picture so you don't have those horrible black bars? I need a new one.
I hate the bars, we have a Samsung TV & Blue-ray DVD player; I just put it on fit the screen it's a prefect picture, looks normal!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank GOD ! ...i have my PS 3 slim ...
Can you review which ones dont freeze? I cant seem to find one that doesnt freeze (and its not the discs)
If freezes even on hdd then clear bluray memory in options..
No mention of the Panasonic UB8200 ? You’ve got to be joking, right ???
Your title says best 4K players, the LG isn't 4K.
um they are 4k upscale NOT 4k
LG BP350
Oppo UDP-205 and region free
I bought the Sony UBP-X800M2 which is a great player but not on the list
HI! I bought Panasonic DP-UB450 and 4K quality is not good... I am thinking to buy Sony instead. Do you have any problems with your player? Pros cons?

Strange, but I'm still happy with my Oppo 203... Cant see other alternatives that might beat it.
Can i see dvd movie on blueray 4K player too that Also looks better?
Yes
Sony is excellent photo best quality sond
No USB-3 input ...... Dealbreaker !!
Panasonic ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Do you know if I can connect this to a laptop and run my blu ray discs?
the samsung wont even play 4k movies, its garbage!!!
So bad.
