I've had my Jogger for a year now and I love it. It's great for carrying the dogs and love the fact that although an estate it's high off the ground like an SUV.
And if your dog loves mud and water (or both!) Dacia/Renault sell several accessories to help your Jogger stay clean. Thanks for watching #HowToBloke 👍
I have it for 2 months now and I love it, it surprised me how nicely it drives. Mine is the LPG variant which has even less torque :) I needed a family car, and with a government program (7-seaters for families) that subsidized about 30% of the cost of the car, this choice was a no-brainer. Oh, and you are right - my biggest gripe is the handbrake (and the hill assist system) as well. My wife was unable to get it going on a slope (where she works, she got used to proper hill assist in a citroen and an opel), she was gradually rolling back until it became too close to a stone wall... Her solution was to not park there anymore :)
Thanks for watching #HowToBloke I have found a manual workaround for the electric handbrake. If you've not seen it already, its here ruclips.net/user/shorts67rd8L7hGRM My wife doesn't like the electro-handbrake either! I did notice that some Joggers DO have a manual handbrake. But, fitted with their automatic gearbox, a Dacia Jogger is unlikely to roll forwards or backwards unexpectedly because of the residual momentum in the torque convertor at idle engine speed after a reverse or forward gear has been selected. For example; If it's in, "D" with the engine running, it won't roll backwards easily.
I have jogger for 2 years now 30k km... nov on the servise ve found out that the gearbox is leaking oil.. I tought why there is a smal oil pudle on my parking.. after month will check it again to see where is the problem
Apparently, the manual Jogger has around 1.8 litres of gearbox oil. How do you know for sure it is gearbox oil and not engine oil? Gearbox oil has a very different smell and consistency to engine oil. Maybe it is a loose gearbox filler or drain plug? A loose engine oil-filter maybe? If the oil puddle on your parking spot evaporates (disappears) after a day or so, it's probably condensate (water) from the air conditioning which is normal (mine sometimes does that). When all said and done, the problem needs looking at without delay by an experienced Renault / Dacia mechanic. If in fact a gearbox oil leak IS confirmed, and the issue cannot be fixed cheaply and quickly then I personally would be looking at the vehicle's guarantee / warranty to see what can be done. Thanks for watching #HowToBloke 👍
@@HowToBloke I was at the deler... he sed that they dont know exactly from where it comes but it looks like from gearbox.. they clened and sed to drive for a mont then they will check

Regarding service If for argument sake you have done 12k in year mind you your engine only run 6k, so no need to change oil Less heat less force no turbo
Engine oil circulates; not just around the journal bearings of the turbo charger. The turbo kicks-in at around 2.2k rpm and it would be impossible to drive 12k with 6k of those being without the turbo engaging.
The problem with reviews like this is that you have done a small milage of course the cars going to be alright i want to read about a car that's done 100.000 miles that will show the problems with the car if there are any.
I can only review the product that I have, at my given mileage. Whilst there is mileage in what you need to know about, I can't critique any more than what I already know about this vehicle. In five years time, maybe I'll do a 100-thousand evaluation. Thanks for watching #HowToBloke 👍
I think these reviews are for buying new. Reviews after 100000 are for buying second hand since the car that was sold 5+ years ago has been updated, facelifted, whatever in the meantime. Do you comment the same for other brands reviewed this way?
