@@alinaandreeacucu4982 I never like Chanel No. 5 when I first spray it; but that is the one that later that day smells so great on my skin. @@penelopepalm I think it stems from the fact that I have heard that as we get older, we lose our sense of smell. I’m in Canada. It’s a custom here to pay compliments especially on perfume. Not they they aren’t sincere. People have tendency to noice nice scents and pieces of cloths and often they even ask about them.
I don’t recieve that much compliments ( also living in the Netherlands) i really think it is a cultured thing because….i just smeek really good all the time 😉😂….love the coco noir & MFK baccarat, also Armani prive rouge, vert & blue turqueze, scherzo, oud bouquet…i can go on…
Yes definitely a culture thing. In Ireland a stranger would be too embarrassed to compliment someone on their fragrance. However people I know well feel free to compliment ☺️
I rarely receive perfume compliments, and I have some incredible perfumes. I do receive compliments from strangers when I wear La Nuit Tresor and MFK Feminine Pluriel, which I think is being discontinued. I bought a back up bottle. When somebody smells great, I let them know! Why not?!
I may have missed you sharing about this in the past, but I’d love to hear about your journey to and experience in the Netherlands! (I’m making an assumption that you are an expat?) Cheers and thank you for your videos!
That's so neat, Arlene. These two mixed together were my scent of the day yesterday! I've worn them together at other times, and I've gotten compliments from the combo. :) Most complimented by strangers (by a LONG shot) - Ani from Nishane.
I've never gotten a compliment from a stranger, and I wear perfumes daily. People in my country just don't comment on other people's fragrances or looks. Never. However, my coworkers and friends complimented me 4x on Chloe Nomade and once on Gucci Flora edp. Most compliments I get from my mother-in-law. On Crystal noir, Trussardi Donna, CH Good Girl, Montale Intense Cafe, DG Light Blue, Lalique Amethyst. I don't count my husband. He is so random. The perfume he likes one day he hates the other day 😂
One of the first things I was told when I moved to the Netherlands was that the Dutch don't give compliments because they consider them to be fake. I don't know if that's the real reason but I can also attest to the fact that they rarely do. Very disappointing, coming from a culture where people often compliment each other.
Loved this video, where can i get the last fragrance that you mentioned? I get complemented on Angel, Jo Malone , Chanel Noir , Sisley perfumes. Oud Isphan by Dior....
I'm irish...we don't tend to compliment strangers scents at all here. One stranger compliment that I can recall in last decade...and that was from a cashier on TF black orchid!!
I think it might be a cultural thing. I am Canadian and we give and get compliments all the time, usually sincere. When I moved to New Zealand I tried complimenting other women and they just acted uncomfortable, didn’t thank me or nothing. I felt so weird.
I don't get compliments on my perfumes here in the PH.😄 It has nothing to do with us still wearing masks, just cultural. My hubby likes the PDL Cassili and TF soleil blanc on me while son likes Viva La juicy. Never mind that it's too young for me but it's a fun perfume.
Definitely a cultural thing I reckon. Same here in the UK like Netherlands. Very rare to get a compliment and if so it's usually from an older man 😂 especially with sultry scents like Good gir,l narcisso Rodriguez musc noir rose etc lol xx
I’m in Germany & I’ve never received compliments from a complete stranger unless they’re American. 😅 I do get compliment from the “Americanized” Germans as well.
Thanks Arlene you have some nice fragrances., it’s nice to get a Complement from anyone and it does make you smile and feel good because someone notice., Arlene I so like your hair this way and bold lips 11-15-2022♥️

I'm in the UK had compliments off strangers wearing Guess Seductive Noir, Instant Crush, Mon Guerlain, Spellbound, Dior Addict, Pink Sugar, Eternity Monent, quite a few really.
I Am not big on Floral Scents Alone I Love sweet Gourmand Fruity Scents mixed with a little Floral
I got it at work in Belgium about Nina Ricci rose extase the pink bottle and on the cloud from Ariana grande.
I don't know what it is about BR540. But it's smells like bug spray on me. I tried it and dupes none work for me.
Most complimented fragrance is Vikor and Rolf Bon Bon.
In romania EVERYBODY smells like baccarat rouge, they killed the vibe, its basically one out of 3 people smell like that....😤
Gosh, it's not niche anymore is it? 😅
Oh wow... its become mainstream I guess
I'm from the US (Chicago suburbs) and I don't think anyone holds back on giving strangers compliments. 😅 🤷
I've been complemented when wearing: Bergamote 22, Delina La Rosee, BR540, Gypsy Water, Molecule 01 +Iris, Black Orchid, Lost Cherry.
I’m in Canada. It’s a custom here to pay compliments especially on perfume. Not they they aren’t sincere. People have tendency to noice nice scents and pieces of cloths and often they even ask about them.
Most complimented scents that I remembered were MFK Grand Soir, Red Jeans Versace & D&G Light Blue.
Thanks for sharing your most complimented Fragrances this year so far
My pleasure!
Why not?!
Well said!
Ohh what a great idea to mix those! I'll have to give it a go 🤗
I've never gotten a compliment from a stranger, and I wear perfumes daily.
The perfume he likes one day he hates the other day 😂
Thanks for sharing Lucia! 🤗
Last time, Baccarat rouge 450 , from a lady on the train (I am from Morocco).
One of the first things I was told when I moved to the Netherlands was that the Dutch don't give compliments because they consider them to be fake. I don't know if that's the real reason but I can also attest to the fact that they rarely do. Very disappointing, coming from a culture where people often compliment each other.
Love your reviews💓
Most complimented are Lince by Tiziana Terenzie, Si Fiori, Lira by Xerjoff and Narciso Rodriguez Rouge 🌹
Loved this video, where can i get the last fragrance that you mentioned? I get complemented on Angel, Jo Malone , Chanel Noir , Sisley perfumes. Oud Isphan by Dior....
It depends on where you live but I got mine from Douglas in the Netherlands 😊
Hi, can you please let me know If Vert Malachite is 50ml or 100 ml bottle- the one in video?
50ml 😀
My most complimented scents are Nishani Ani, Coco Noir and Armani Code
people where I live are not very interactive - but one day a sales girl said she loved my perfume, not recognizing it. it was Pink Sugar;-)
I'm irish...we don't tend to compliment strangers scents at all here. One stranger compliment that I can recall in last decade...and that was from a cashier on TF black orchid!!
Awesome one!
weirdly most complements i got is from armaf club de nuit lol!.
I reach exactly the same as what you said wen I get a compliment on my perfume
Live in Germany and work in the Netherlands. I received so far most compliments from East Europeans and Middle Easterners.
I am from the netherlands. We do compliment friends and family but we do not compliment strangers a lot.
I think it might be a cultural thing. I am Canadian and we give and get compliments all the time, usually sincere. When I moved to New Zealand I tried complimenting other women and they just acted uncomfortable, didn’t thank me or nothing. I felt so weird.
😟
My most complimented scent so far is M by Mariah Carey! Cheapie but a goodie. Definitely a favorite of mine ❤️
Nice one!
Briefly speaking I am always willing to compliment however It is hard to following people as they may feel uncomfortable being chased:)
😆
Hi schatje , dit is de eerste video die ik van je zie .
I'll subscribe !!!.
Groetjes uit Amsterdam 👋😊
Groetjes! Thanks for watching :D
@@DeliciousDelights graag gedaan 😊🌺🐞🦋🌞
I was also thinking that her hair looks really nice 😊
Thank you! 😊
Thanks for sharing!!
Definitely a cultural thing I reckon. Same here in the UK like Netherlands. Very rare to get a compliment and if so it's usually from an older man 😂 especially with sultry scents like Good gir,l narcisso Rodriguez musc noir rose etc lol xx
😂🤗
Interesting. I live in London and always get compliments on my fragrances from English people and foreigners ☺️
It’s the Dutch culture and western Europe culture. I live in NL too….i have gotten compliments here in NL but not from native Dutchies 😅
🤣😂
Great video
🤗
I’m in Germany & I’ve never received compliments from a complete stranger unless they’re American. 😅 I do get compliment from the “Americanized” Germans as well.
Interesting!
Thanks Arlene you have some nice fragrances., it’s nice to get a Complement from anyone and it does make you smile and feel good because someone notice., Arlene I so like your hair this way and bold lips 11-15-2022♥️
You're welcome and thanks! 🤗
Nishane ani always gets me compliments
OMG sometimes I value my perfume by cents per mil. USD. Mom I love you but please. I used to have a neighbor, single lady who would borrow my Channel No. 5 when she had a date the only experience close to that and I knew she had it.
Coco noir has been so watered down total tragedy
Editing was off on this one. Also would be helpful for the perfume name to be on the screen as you are talking about it. The bottle labels are hard to read.
Nobody hardly complements me, they just stare at me like i am an alien.
😆👽
Your Shalimar background is giving me trés chic vibes. On compliments, I think it's a cultural thing for sure. Come to Brazil and you'll get used (AND tired) of compliments and people asking what you're wearing. We're awkwardly overly communicative 🤣🤣🤣
Canadians tend to be friendly
We dont comment people we dont know in Europe, only when we are drunk😅
🤣😂😅
