AHI is Aamna Haider Isani and will bring to you the life, style and soul of my life.
The word AHI may be the acronym of my name, but it independently stands for a species of Hawaiian Tuna. Ahi is an apt name for me. As a Piscean, fish is my symbol and water my element.
But this channel isn't about astronomy. l'll be tapping into my 20-year career as a fashion journalist to cover fashion as a source of self-expression and body positivity. We'll have a little bit of fun in shows like Fashion Fortnightly. I'll be connecting with fashionable creatures in Meet the Muse and reviewing fun, new products in the short FIR - First Impression Review. Aamna 101 will take you into my life while The AHI Icon will bring you an exceptional person, whose story inspires.

Hi amna , can we address the fact that websites of our Pakistani stores are so bad specially for those residing outside Pakistan that it is almost impossible to order online. Dara doesn't offer delivery option outside Pakistan ,koels website is a mess ,and the list goes on and on.

Amna Thank very much for sharing name of these brands . Behbud is very old and popular . Last time during covid I bought 3 kurtas from them ( shadow work with ralli appliqué + tarkashi with cross stitch boti + kacha tanka ) . I bought them around 8000 each . Now prices are gone very high . But definitely Worth it . I will explore all the brands you mentioned . ❤

#askamna I have a question. You often criticize celebrities for wearing strapy sandals and suggest they should opt for closed-toe shoes instead. So, in which outfit is it appropriate to wear open-toed sandals, if any? Or should we avoid wearing them altogether?
In our weather we definitely need open toes in the summer at least
Strappy sandals are great but they need to be the right heel size to suit what you're wearing. A strappy stiletto will look great with a suit, but a chunky heel or a kitten heel may not. It's all relative. A strappy flat or short heel will lookk good with a shalwar but not a churidaar, so you need to find the balance.

Excellent content. I am so glad I knew all these brands organically purely because ive been looking for sustainable fashion brands for ages. I can suggest a few more that I found ‘nusrat sultana’ , ‘behbud crafts’ and ‘farah’s gulkari’. I think we should all support such businesses and support our local craft #feedback
Behbud was on my mind but I feel they haven't managed to ace the styles and are craft oriented but still not very fashionable. I hope they manage one day.

Also, 'Ajrakh' literally translates to 'Aaj Rakh' - meaning keepibg it in the dye for a day or overnight. Yes, on cotton it doesn't look great and on silk, it's expensive. But here in Gujarat, India, it's done in Gajji Silk, which gives it a bit of a sheen too. Also, designers are innovating - Bandini and Ajrakh, together - these saris look beautiful!

Amna I love solids but I hav young kids and also cooking is not very solids friendly,so I buy prints…but at my heart I am a solids person so I keep my semi formals solid.

Totally agree with none of the Pakistani brands have perfected the western fashion. Sizing is so bad particularly. I have tried sapphire, Ethnic and ONE in particular and none of their sizing was accurate. I would suggest never buying their clothes without trying them on first.

Hair styling is something which makes a difference in the way how one looks but middle class people like me could not afford high maintenance hair care routine, could you suggest budget friendly hair care routine/products.
P.S : In my home oiling the hair everyday is must and oiled hair can not be styled , I want to get rid of oiling my hair everyday but to accomplish this I need good hair routine/supplements which would keep my hair shiny and away from frizz and dryness even in the absence of oiling the hair

I just ordered a kurta from blocked, when you recommended it on your eid video ❤
I Have to talk about LAAM! Yes, they have a lot of options BUT! It’s not all quality and they will not always send you the the style you see in the pictures they post. I can tell you a specific experience myself, I just ordered some outfits for Eid and although I received half my order before Eid, I ordered some thing that in the pictures was sleeveless, but I received some thing with full sleeves. And I thought maybe it was because I ordered a larger size that it was a slight shame issue, so I reached out to their customer service who definitely response back quickly, they said that we always send more modest version of clothes! So I am really upset because some clothes only look good in the style that they have pictured them in! Especially when you’re ordering all the way in the USA it’s not like you can return easily. And if it’s an unknown designer, they are not good with their tailoring and sizes. I have received pants that are two sizes too small for the shirt and recently shirt that has sleeves sewn for a much smaller size, and a neckline that you cannot get your head through and the fabric is terrible. So I feel like whenever I order from LAAM, I have to be prepared for at least half of the order being unwearable.
That's unfortunate. I will convey this message to the LAAM team and hopefully they'll get back to you.

I recently purchased two Chickenkari Kurtas from Aafrinish after your review, including a 35K trusser silk kurta, and I am extremely disappointed with the quality. The fabric and craftsmanship are subpar, far below what I expected given the high price. I cannot understand why this brand is being recommended or supported, as the product quality is very poor.On top of the owner Naizi is very ill mannered man
