    As I'm watching this video, I'm just smiling because I tried the lillian Okibe temporary locs, it's been a week now and I'm loving it but I'm not turning it permanent😂😂 (maybe later😁)

      😂😂😂 I am so glad you like it. No pressure dear. I am glad the style is available for people to get the feel of locs (temporarily) without the commitment. I did that for almost two years before I finally decided to go permanent so I totally understand you. 🤗🤗🤗😍😍

    HELLO LILY DEAR. THIS IS QUEEN MIRACLE FROM GHANA 🇬🇭 . PLEASE WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF DOING LOCS INSTEAD OF ALL OTHER PROTECTIVE STYLES?

    • @LilianOkibe
      @LilianOkibe  3 года назад

      If you're talking about temporary locs as a protective style, the advantage is that it is easy to install/unravel and it looks better with age. This is in addition to the other advantages that protective styles have in general. If you're referring to locs as a permanent style then the advantages are endless. Please click the link below to learn more about that. ruclips.net/video/PVX0542j1UU/видео.html

    I had finger coils locs for like 19 years, and its true what u said it really looks untidy easily, I may try the temp locs and see how it looks, because i'm about volume

    I started with instant locs and some instant locs (like mine) actually do bud a lot and they do get very thick if you don’t pick them as much. It’s kinda like your not making your locs super mature your just skipping a few beginner months LOL

    • @LilianOkibe
      @LilianOkibe  3 года назад +2

      Yes, how often you get it done and how tight your stylist does it determines whether it'll bud and swell up as much. The problem is that most people who go the instant locs route are obsessed with the "neat" look so they end up reloc'ing their new growth too often and everytime, the stylist is constantly pulling their frizz back into their locs. The "frizz" is what eventually helps with the thickening. This is why most of them end up with skinny locs with a lot of damage (especially on their scalp). I'm glad yours are doing great. 🤗🤗🤗

    Thanks Ms. Lilian.
    I've been on two-strand twists since like April. It's getting frustrating and annoying (lol) because I cannot walk around with those twists and need to wear a wig all the time, so I was thinking of doing instant locs.
    My question here is, can I do instant locs on my twist strands and then later return to normal twisting (not two strands this time)?
    PS: I didn't mention that my hair is relaxed (I'm transitioning to natural and haven't relaxed for 8 months now and have a lot of undergrowth).

      You're welcome dear.🤗🤗😘😘 Yes, you can definitely do that. Just make sure that you learn how to properly use the crotchet needle so that you don't end up weakening the locs from the core.

      Thank you so much. Now that I know, I'll try it and see how it turns out. I was just tired of the wigs lol.
