For super hot weather a good thing to use is MiraCool Bandanas Soak bandanas in cold water for a few minutes and they plump up for many hours of cooling. We used these is a factory I worked at. In the summer the temp with the heat index was occasionally 124 F. You can was them and re use them. Just don't put them in the freezer. It breaks the stuff used to absorb the water.
I watch A LOT of Disney and theme park content creators and you can really tell your filming is top notch. I can see a clear difference. Even B roll looks so professional. You can tell you have great gear and really know how to use it properly.
To help with going through security, organize your items in clear make-up/ travel bags. I put my electronics in one, medicine in another, make up in another. They can see what's in there and don't have to put their hands on my bag. I just pull out all of the clear bags.
That’s a great idea for Disneyland. I about fainted when the security guard pulled out every single thing in my backpack and opened up each bag. It’s a bit embarrassing when you’re carrying a bunch of tampons they think they have to inspect!!
+1 for the powdered sunscreen! Extremely convenient which helps make it easier to stay on top of reapplying. Wears well over other sunscreens and/or makeup since it also acts as a setting/retouching powder.
I'm so stoked for a Knotts video! We went mid January, my first time & I loved it so much! No massive crowds, such a laid back vibe, I loved the classic rides, it's one of my favorite parks now. Watching this is like a burst of nostalgia, ha. A tip for hot days - I like to freeze a couple water bottles & wet/freeze cooling towels, put them into a large ziploc & put those into my backpack next to my back. Keeps you cool & gives you cool water & towels for the day.
Love your channel! Whenever we travel and worry about our socks getting wet, we always bring our waterproof Vessi shoes. Not only do our socks stay dry, but the shoes are really comfortable for long days on our feet. Definitely one of our favorite investments!
I'll use some of these tips as I'm going to DLP in 23 days! I wish we had something to do with Peanuts over here in England. Linus has always been my favourite character in it. A couple of friends of mine have 2 massive pigs as pets and Kitra is right, they are just like dogs. It's amazing.
That was a great video! You guys mentioned one of my top of mind tips, the powdered Electrolytes. I usually use the Gatorade packs. It's so much cheaper than buying Powerades at the parks and as a man in his 40s that sweats more than he drinks water in Florida, it can be SUPER painful to get cramps (speaking from a painful experience).
The paper straws also contain gluten at Disney so we pack our own silicone straws or use Joffreys straws which are made from sugar cane I believe. Agave straws are also likely gluten free. They need to come up with a better option than the paper ones. We never use them and they end up being thrown away at restaurants anyway.
I love Peters glasses! I have the blue glow in the dark pair from Zenni and I get compliments on them all the time. When we were at the parks on the dark rides I always heard a “ooooo someone’s glowing”
I’m new to your channel but the vibes are great. I really enjoy both of your personalities and the fun you share with each other at the parks. Great edits/filming/sound too! Liked and subscribed

I love the beginning of your videos animated Kitra and Peter I am really enjoying this channel you two going to theme parks I went to a long time when I was young brings back wonderful memories seeing the changes some favorite Socal theme parks thank you for showing your experiences keep up the awesome job you two do by your Vlog here !!!!
Wow, love this video. So many cool tips and tricks. My wife and I are thinking about visiting the theme parks soon so we so appreciate the ideas for what to bring. Loved the details on camera and technical gear too. Thanks so much.
Agave straws are so much better for the environment than paper ones. Any paper product that comes in contact with food or drink has to have a level of waterproofing, and to do that they put a coating of plastic on the side that comes in to contact with the food/drink. Which in addition to being bad if animals consume them, they also don’t break down properly leaving dangerous micro plastics behind. Agave is fully sustainable. So, yay Ordinary Adventures 😊 for being environmentally conscious.
I really appreciate you guys explaining the break down of your electronics and showing everything individually! This video was SO helpful! Thank you guys :)
My boyfriend and I recently found you guys and have been binge watching your videos. I love the quality and yalls personalities and it makes us want to start disney vlogging. PETER, I NEED to know where this grogu hoodie is from?!
Peter is basically a slightly scaled-down version of me (I'm 6'3" and hovering around 330 lbs) and that belt-fan looks absolutely INCREDIBLE. As a fellow Thicc-Boi, I can't wait to try that thing out, and always love your recommendations. The one thing my wife and I also love to bring along are anti-friction/anti-chafing sticks, with our go-to being Gold Bond Friction Defense. Anyone that doesn't have a thigh-gap and aims to walk around a bit can use one of those bad-boys, especially when it gets humid and things starts sticking.
4:00…If you can make your way to WalMart or even Target before a hot-weather visit to a theme park, each one sells a basic Mega-pack of washcloth-sized cloths for as little as 25 cents each (I’ve gotten a 20 pack for $5 at the WalMart on Highway 192 on the way to Disney a couple of times)…honestly, they’re basic, but very absorbent and inexpensive enough that you can, basically, toss them instead of messing up your bag with a lot of stinky sweaty cloths (or just bring along a large gallon-sized slider Ziploc bag for the used cloths if you want to save and launder them)
Great tips! I also bring bandaids in case of blisters, toothpick flossers and handiwipes which I prefer to clean my hands before we eat. We bring basically like a baggie with all this stuff so we are ready. I am going to buy that cool sun screen powder cause we bring regular sunscreen and it isn’t as convenient.
21:20…I would also recommend trying PHADE brand biodegradable straws, also available on Amazon…they’re made of a polymer derived from Canola and a box of 250 is usually less than $20 and are surprisingly strong and sturdy even with hot beverages
@@OrdinaryAdventures Similar…it’s actually a bit stronger with hot beverages, in my experience (my wife needs to use a straw more often than not because her disability has affected her hand strength and grip, and these hold up to reasonably warm coffee)
Thank you for this video! I love seeing what equipment you are using and what it does. Between the equipment and the editing, your videos are always such fun to watch.
This video is everything. Thanks Just ask Danny. I was wondering what to use for sunscreen. Very informative video ❤ Ordinary Adventures to the rescue ❤
Awesome tips. We use those portable chargers too. So handy. We need so many at Disney! I’ve converted almost all my socks to Bombas now. None of the other athletic socks come close, and there are so many dupes now days. I’m going to try those weird straws! I hate the metal straws. I’m not washing out tiny straws while on vacation!
Enjoy all your videos like this one where you showing the product’s we are going on a trip looks like we’re going shopping at Amazon Thanks for the tips.
I love watching your video's, you guys are so fun to watch and always have such helpful tips. Thanks guys for always keeping it real. :) We are going on our first cruise in March the Disney Wish so I'm sure some of these tips are going to come in handy on what to pack in our back packs/luggage. lol. :)
Thank You sooo much for all the Pro-tips! We were in DW two weeks before Christmas and it poured rain for a short period of time. We ended up buying socks in the big store on main street in the Magic Kingdom. There was a huge line of people buying dry socks. They were so expensive but I did get some cool Star Wars socks. Next time we'll know to bring extra socks. The food looks amazing, I love pulled pork and corn bread! I really need to go to Knott's Berry Farm some day. Thank You for taking us on your adventure! 😁
You guys are comforting to watch. My guinea pig loved watching you too, and I played your videos for him for his last day. Wish he was still watching with me. Edit: I want to try the Oreo treat. It looks so good might have to try to make my own until I can try in person hopefully.
Thank you so much for this video. When you showed the face washer, I usually put mine in the freezer the night before going to the Orlando parks then in a zip bag when we are hot just take it out and you have a nice cold face washer to cool you down. We also freeze water bottles to keep us hydrated with cold drinks.
Nearly all day especially if you have a thermo pack bag. The water defrosts very slowly so we drink a little and refill drink a little and refill, then you have cold water all day.

Plus. the yummy foods and treats incorporated all in one geez guys I just want to give ya a huge virtual 🤗 hug. Hopefully someday a real hug but for now that will have to do.
Chapstick with sunscreen and a throat drops in case you need to sooth your throat after screaming on rides! 😊 Glasses wipes are great too! Excellent video
Super nice of you both to share your tips. I’ve been watching your Hawaii videos on repeat and my husband and I were wondering how you shot through the lazy River. I was telling him it must be a drone lol the handle on ride camera looks invisible in your videos ☺️ now I can share with him it was a camera! Keep doing great work!

Kitra said, “why don’t they put peanut butter rims on everything?” I totally agree! This is why we love you guys. Thanks for the fun video, we enjoyed it.
A few more items I always carry in my park bag… 1. Lip balm with minimum SPF 15. Nothing worst than cold sores from too much sun! I like Burt’s Bees products for longer lasting applications, chapstick total hydration for when I already have dry lips. I also use Carmen Dalit care gel that comes in a small squeeze tube. I can leave it in my bag/car/pocket and it won’t melt like the sticks. 2. Small zip lock bag- they take up no room and have endless uses. I can’t always finish all the treats at the food festivals, so I stash leftovers to enjoy later. 3. Energy gels with caffeine- I usually eat at the parks but sometimes long lines and late nights get to me so an energy gel with caffeine is just the quick me up I need. I’m also a type 2 diabetic so it doubles as a glucose boost if I get hypoglycemia which has happened to me in Florida with the heat stress. 4. Bingo Ties- these are heavy duty rubber bands with a toggle on one end that makes it easy to attach to anything. Useful to hold your gear together so it doesn’t bounce, keep that extra battery at hand for a quick swap, even make a carry loop for that cool new mug you bought. I get them a The Container Store. 5. Tile trackers - or other type of tracker. I have them in my wallet, on my park bag and on my larger camera strap. The software Akers me when I leave something behind and it then helped me locate and recover my camera after I left it on a WDW bus. Thanks for all the tips and hope these help other folk enjoy the theme park experience.
What brand energy gel with caffeine would you recommend? I’ll be going to Disney World soon and I know I’ll be in the parks late at night. Having these energy gels sounds like it’ll come in handy!
Wow,that was such amazing advice. I use my neck fans to combat hot flashes. Thank you very much for showing the those ❤. I think all this advice is good every day life hacks for travel anywhere you go. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Ahh! Our absolute favorite style of video! Lots of great items here. We're definitely gonna check out that hand sanitizer; seems like something we'd both really enjoy. Wonderful stuff, friends! -T
Great tips and tricks video! Are there times when you feel that you have brought too much stuff to the parks or not enough? Sometimes I feel like I bring too much stuff to have to carry around that I never take out. The one thing I like to bring is an extra microphone. You never know about electronics! Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day! I thought that Oreo Brownie tasted like a Hostess Ding Dong as well! 😀
Thanks so much for the video. The mineral sunscreen and straws are something I’ll be buying. Anyone else have experience with the motion sickness bands. My husband really suffers but they are a bit expensive. I started watching your channel for your first Aulani trip and really enjoy watching you and even your comments on other channels. You are so enthusiastic and personable.
Great idea for a video - entertaining and informative! We love watching your channel so much. My son is Blake, who drew th Peter face, which he got to see twice today.
Me and my gf are at Knott’s most weekends (patiently waiting for Disney keys to open) and we’ve adopted our own goto’s. Our newest addition, and one not mentioned regarding what to do while waiting in line-Tamagatchi’s!
I started watching you guys recently and I love your videos and look forward to every time you guys upload this video was so helpful I’m going to Disney soon and I got so many great ideas for what to bring in my park bag from watching this. :)
This is a really great mix of what you need in your bag with the vibe at Knott’s. I found the Touchland sanitizer last year and it’s great, I also like to pack a small brush and I prefer a Loungefly too. The phone charger and wireless for the headphones both cool I gotta add those. Two things that I always like to have in a theme park bag are flip flops for water rides and Chap Stick. Great vlog!
This was some really helpful ideas, thank you guys. I need to get a few of these gadgets and mod them into my garb for my intended Starcruiser trip next year.
You guys are definitely travel pros and the gear you use to film was really cool to see! Thank you for all the tips and helpful advice 😊 I didn’t know powdered sunscreen was a thing until today but now I need it lol
Ordinary Adventures you guys should visit Silver Dollar City in Branson Missouri!!!! This year is the last year to ride Fire in the Hole the world's first indoor roller coaster!!!
On my way to Phoenix from the Bay Area but had to stop in Pasadena because of this crazy storm and travel was unsafe. Hope you both are safe (and dry) during this historic storm. Seems this heavy rain hasnt stopped. Anyway thanks for the tips some of this will come in handy in Arizona!

Great tips!
☺️ thanks for watching
Great video! Super helpful tips and enjoyed getting a glimpse of your behind the scenes tricks 😊
Thanks ☺️

Thanks 🙏
Ahh! Our absolute favorite style of video! Lots of great items here. We're definitely gonna check out that hand sanitizer; seems like something we'd both really enjoy. Wonderful stuff, friends! -T
Love the touchland sanatizer. My only complaint is it’s a little overpriced but I like the convieanance of it
Great tips and tricks video! 😀
I always think I’m lugging too much stuff around but always glad to have these items when we need them
Lol we were JUST talking about getting the neck fans for our Disney World trip! Great video timing!
Believe me, they help a lot
Thanks so much for the video. The mineral sunscreen and straws are something I’ll be buying. Anyone else have experience with the motion sickness bands. My husband really suffers but they are a bit expensive.
I started watching your channel for your first Aulani trip and really enjoy watching you and even your comments on other channels. You are so enthusiastic and personable.
Thanks so much ☺️
Great idea for a video - entertaining and informative! We love watching your channel so much. My son is Blake, who drew th Peter face, which he got to see twice today.
Ha thanks ☺️
So many great suggestions! I just picked up three of these items on Amazon. Thank you for sharing these with us.
Happy to help
Great video. Very helpful. Love the belt fan and the powder sunscreen...Didn't know either one of those even existed!
☺️ mission accomplished
Me and my gf are at Knott’s most weekends (patiently waiting for Disney keys to open) and we’ve adopted our own goto’s. Our newest addition, and one not mentioned regarding what to do while waiting in line-Tamagatchi’s!
Love that
I now have so many things in my Amazon cart! 😆 Thanks for sharing all the cool things in your bag!
Haha sorry
I started watching you guys recently and I love your videos and look forward to every time you guys upload this video was so helpful I’m going to Disney soon and I got so many great ideas for what to bring in my park bag from watching this. :)
🥰 thanks so much Haley!
Great vlog!
We almost put chapstick and were going to talk about our theme park sneakers of choice but ran out of time. Knotts closed early at 6pm 😂
@@OrdinaryAdventures theme park sneaker choice can make or break a day. Would love to know what you guys like to wear, maybe a part 2?
We love the adidas ultra boosts but they aren’t good for wet weather
@@OrdinaryAdventures I love my Adidas Ultra Boost sneakers 😊 good choice!
This was some really helpful ideas, thank you guys. I need to get a few of these gadgets and mod them into my garb for my intended Starcruiser trip next year.
Glad to help!
Love that you are aficionados of so many things😂
☺️
I loved the camera dolly. It really does get the perfect shot and using it for your food reactions would be great.
Thanks 😊
Another fun video! We bought the neck fans after seeing you both wear them. A life saver for visiting WDW 🥵
Glad you found them useful
I love your videos! It's like electronic con meets theme park 🤩
Thanks!
No shot there’s a pop socket mag safe !!! ! I know why I enjoy watching you guys so much.
What do you mean?
Finally, learned your secret on those impossible ride shots. Cool!
Glad you like them!
Thanks for all the great Ideas! I followed your Super Nintendo World video to T and had so much fun.
Awesome! Glad we could help!
Just started uploading on my channel. Thank you guys for all the great advice. Love you guys
Our pleasure!
I have a lot of peak design gear myself and I’m in love with your lil hack to combine the slide and capture clip together. Gonna try that out myself
I usually don’t have my backpack so the neck strap hack is what I use most of the time
@@OrdinaryAdventures look forward to trying that out even when I use my bag or when I decide to use a smaller satchel or sling bag around.
You guys are definitely travel pros and the gear you use to film was really cool to see! Thank you for all the tips and helpful advice 😊 I didn’t know powdered sunscreen was a thing until today but now I need it lol
Ha that was our goal, to show people things they didn’t know existed and didn’t realize they needed 😆
Ordinary Adventures you guys should visit Silver Dollar City in Branson Missouri!!!! This year is the last year to ride Fire in the Hole the world's first indoor roller coaster!!!
We want to go there!
Awesome tips! I take a resealable food bag to protect my electrical items on water rides
Great tip!
The camera dolly was not ridiculous Peter. It was awesome. Definitely going to get one.
😁 thanks
It looks less silly than laying on the ground and crawling to get the perfect low angle shot!
Thanks for the overview of your tech gear! After watching, I purchases the VRURC charger - It's AMAZING!
It’s the best!
Stay safe!
