Love what he said about running a business: "You have to be a good leader". Besides that, I agree with what he said about being spread too thin as a business owner! A business owner can't grow a business while doing time consuming tasks! Great video as always!
This is awesome. Buying businesses and consolidating them into one big company to increase their value is one of the best ways to generate wealth fast. Has anyone heard about Mr. Dan Pena's spiel on generating wealth the same way? (thumbs up if you did)
Alexandru Ulici - Buying Freedom You know I’ve watched a few mins of his content but didn’t jive well with it. I’ll watch again, thanks for bringing it to my attention again.
Love seeing vids like this was low amounts of views and insane amounts of information. We're tapping into info that most aren't aware of which is why we will succeed 😀
I'm interested to know what key tasks Brit keeps himself freed up to do in order to grow his business. Also he made a great comment about employees being a higher priority than customers. But I'd like to know what business practices he has found successful at finding and keeping good employees. I feel like that is my biggest challenge to growing my business. Not just the key employees or partners but everyone it requires to fill the positions needed to provide a service.
I spend most of my time searching for new opportunities, underwriting new opportunities and networking for new opportunities. I have a once a week meeting with my team from each business I own. We go over our goals and any major obstacles they may be facing. I do manage a handful of my rentals along with a couple of Airbnb’s. Hope this helps.
I make the big hires and the day to day hires are made by GM. Really two totally different worlds. You’re executive types are going to have totally different motivations and desires than your day to day workers. For executives I look for integrity first and what I call “winners” second. Basically I’m looking for someone who has experience winning somewhere else and not necessarily a job. Could be a competition or athletics, etc. Two people in my office were highly successful collegiate and HS athletes. From there-I pay them well and incentivize them with bonuses, etc.
I love the guy getting interviewed hate the guy doing it. Hate when interviewers talk to much instead of just asking questions. Also let the lady talk man
Terrible interview. These fluff interviews gives BiggerPockets a bad name. Why not ask him what are the other 4 businesses that he acquired? What city is this person operating out of? Lets ask some hard questions and stop promoting the guest as being a genius. Also can you think of an original format, "4 More" is the same as "Famous 4" and what is your favorite book?
Owner financing (24:42) + Clawback (25:40) is an awesome concept

@@bcfoshee Thanks that is helpful!
Any advice on hiring and keeping good employees or do you leave that up to a key employee?

@@bcfoshee Makes sense, thanks again!
I wish you dive into loans and financing a bit. I really want to know about sba loans in particular. Otherwise this was an amazing interview!!
You will probably find this interview with SBA Lender helpful ruclips.net/video/2n8k_VeafC4/видео.html
Awesome thanks for the information
Thank you
There are several books out there entitled 'Scaling Up', can he clarify which one he recommends?
Sure thing! It’s scaling up by Verne Harnish!
@@bcfoshee thank you, sir. Ordering that book now!
Like guest a lot 👍🏿....but Interviewers question recaps style is too long ...TIP: Just ask the questions please!! Again great subject matter👍🏿
Agreed. The guest speaks English, we understand him perfectly.
This guy's the reason I shower with water bottles
Hahah it’s a great year (a few weeks into 2020)

Sounds like this podcast isn't for you. Perhaps you should find something else that better suits your needs.
How do you feel about the latest "Project Veritas " release highlighting the Bernie Sanders socialist plan to "get rid of landlords "?
