Churches and other religious buildings in many places are not just a place for praying but a place for refuge. They do not go there to escape hell but to escape the problems of the world. To find peace. So if you take away hell and told them it does not exist they will still go there. Because even though hell doesn't exist the problems we suffer still do

Your ancestors prayed to the gods they knew not because of ignorance. But because of lack of knowledge. You can not punish someone for not doing what they did not know could be done.

We can say if a certain group was wrong they simply did not know any better. And therefore can not be punished for that. Believing in a god is not slavery. For if it is then all our ancestors were slaves as well because they too believed in god/gods. The slavery part comes when that belief in a god is turned into a religion and that religion is used to control you.

The Bible was used as a tool to control the people and Slavery came about.. The Bible has been used as a tool of power. Look at kings James.. He wrote his own Bible to his taste.. There is a portrait of Mary the mother of Jesus in Russia and in it she is black. There are many books that are supposed to be in the Bible that are not there. Why? No Christianity is not the RIGHT religion nor is Islam. For none of the two are perfect. Especially in the way they are practiced. But they do give some of the answers to the questions we humans have.
