This all started when they tore down the project buildings. All of the gangs dispersed into the surrounding neighborhoods. Chicago is literally gang infested. I’m from Chicago and he broke it down the best I heard but he didn’t completely break it down! LA has gang structure, Chicago doesn’t! Meaning a OG blood might have connections with OG crips in Compton and even though the younger generation might be beefing, the OG’s can call each other to defuse certain situations or they’ll extort celebrities together! It ain’t that type of structure in Chicago, the younger generation has completely rebelled against the guidance of older leadership, maybe because most of the OG’s turned into dope fiends or they just didn’t respect their leadership! When you here niggaz in Chicago, claiming renegade, insane, etc, they’re basically telling you that we’re apart of a mob but we make our own rules! Most of these Chicago wars are 1st and 2nd generation so you can’t check in with us over here because we got Niggaz two blocks over that we’re really in war with and we can’t call them for peace because the death wounds are still too fresh! So you might be cool over here with us and Nahw we won’t rob you but them niggaz from the other side might come through blowing at any giving time and you better duck, run, or shoot back or you will be a new pack! This Chicago nigga
thats not why chicago doesnt have structure, in the 90's the feds targeted the gangs leaders with rico cases thinking it would stop crime and violence and it backfired, now you cant pay someone to be the leader of one of these gangs because nobody wants to end up like larry hoover

I moved to chicago 8 years ago unaware of how things go down there, before I could find a spot to rent I had to sleep in my car for a couple weeks, I found out the hard way. Mind you, i had outta state plates, as a Blackman with no tattoos nor dreadlocks, i stood out as a soar thumb that I could feel it. Some people would approche me and ask if I’m ok or if I’m lost, then they would tell me to watch out when I drive through neighborhoods. Crazy thing chi doesn’t look hood, you’d think you’re in a clean as environment then turn a corner and boom, it’s too late. I would read the news to see where people got shot the night before and I would avoid those blocks cuz usually retaliations happen in the same radius, man shit was so stressful, sometimes I would wake up half way through the night to move spots when suddenly cops sirens would blast meaning somebody nearby would have just been smoked, I alternated between Lincoln square and rogers park of course avoiding Howard as the plague, people get touched in broad daylight there stepping out the train. After I got a house around university of Illinois at chicago I lived there for like two months until I almost got shot on my way from my night shift work, that was the last straw, I packed my stuff and bounced. Have been back there only once just to take care of a couple business, since then I don’t have even a thought of ever going back there. But I loved the city and miss it especially the loop, walking around chilling on those clean streets and the beach just in walking distance, way better than New York City. I could only move back to chi if I could afford living in them downtown soho skyscrapers 😅
Had a choice to move to Chicago or Atlanta, ended up choosing Atlanta. Chicago is a nicer city optically then Atl but ATL much safer. Chicago can be a cold hearted place depending on where you live..

I grew up in Chicago and have lived here all my life. My dude ain't telling any lies. I love my city but I don't trust my city. I recently saw a video where a clown named Charleston White was being mad disrespectful towards the young, deceased brother King Von. He was saying that the "O" Block guys weren't on shit because they didn't retaliate over King Von being killed. He said that the Crips killed a lot of people when Nipsey was murdered. The thing is, Nip was murdered in Cali. Feel me? (And for the record, I don't condone the murder of anyone )... Von waa murdered in ATL... That made the difference. With that being said, I used to be an active member of the ABPSN.... If Charleston was to come here talking crazy, he wouldn't make it to dinner time. He couldn't check in because we don't move like that. Mind your business, keep your head on a swivel, and stay out of the way.
Your videos are funny asf but I gained even more respect for you. Korporate you broke it down perfectly. I'm not from Chicago and every time I visit I stay my ass downtown but even downtown getting scary now
Truth be told, that’s how it is EVERYWHERE. Nip got murked outside of the store he owns! Perfectly said!!!!
This all started when they tore down the project buildings. All of the gangs dispersed into the surrounding neighborhoods. Chicago is literally gang infested. Notice how he said "79th and Ashland, 79th and Damen"... That's not too far at all. Imagine having to keep up with 100s of blocks worth of gangs and beefs, etc just to stay safe. It's exhausting and contributes to a lot of undiagnosed PTSD.
Constant gang beefs/wars. It's out of control
Good point.
Exactly , 100's of blocks and hoods u gotta "keep up with" good point mfrs gotta be on point, and this city big southside stretch to the 100's eastside is its on self, so is westside and north, its bigg asl wit everybody on Go

Most of the og’s is dead or in jail
Moral of the story fly under the radar, watch your back and be careful of the company you keep.. I think that applies to anywhere you go 👍🏽.

I'm so glad he really articulated how it is in Chicago. People really think it's a game where we from and just don't know a mf will knock you head off quick. Our city and our people are not for the weak. Like he said we popular for a lot of great things but we also popular for a lot dark things as well. Tread carefully when you visit us.
Oh please. Chicago ain’t no different than any Black hood (LA, Oakland, Brooklyn , Detroit, Flint, Houston, ATL) etc etc. it’s only dangerous in Chicago for poor Black people. Tom Hanks come to Chicago anywhere and not one Black person bother him. Yet a person like Korporate gotta look over his shoulder. Only other niggas gotta “tread carefully “ in Chicago. Nobody touches the white guy though
This was so powerful! And he spoke truth and heart! But truth be told! It’s like this in a lot of hoods! Especially in DC!

Intelligent young man.. keep pushing ⭐️
Agreed
Had a choice to move to Chicago or Atlanta, ended up choosing Atlanta. Chicago is a nicer city optically then Atl but ATL much safer. Chicago can be a cold hearted place depending on where you live..
I lived In Lincoln Park and you can get it up North too. It was safe on my block but up on Wilson/Broadway it’s different. Up in Rogers Park it’s up too along with other spots. It’s not safe downtown these days. You’re not really safe anywhere. I lived in NYC and you can get it there too. It takes street smarts to live anywhere and if you do not have it you’re done!!

I agree with you but just like you said if he talking crazy he wouldn’t make it to dinner. That’s an awful way to live day to day in a city.
Your videos are funny asf but I gained even more respect for you. Korporate you broke it down perfectly. I'm not from Chicago and every time I visit I stay my ass downtown but even downtown getting scary now

Don’t gamble with your life
