Yesss! Pixel Art converts great to cross stitch, with a few considerations. There may be some frustration when converting to the available thread colors, but limited color palettes aren't exactly new to pixel art. ;) The other thing to look out for is colors with too few pixels or single pixels off by themselves. They can be greatly effective in pixel art, but are annoying to stitch!
@@Sirithre that’s amazing! I’ve always done cross Stich with a 14 count fabric, so for me it was a bit difficult to commit to actually finishing the project. With this my attention span will be better lol.
thank you for making this! I've only done traditional cross stitching and have really wanted some physical charms or keychains to spice up between projects. you made this super simple to follow! thank you ♡ and your designs are adorable!

I have a hard time fitting regular jump rings through the plastic canvas, any tips for that? I personally prefer the keychains over the cell phone clasps with the cord, though the clasps look easier to get into the plastic. I know 14 count is a small hole so it's hard to cram the jump ring through. Thanks!
Not really a tip for that tbh, they are indeed small holes. You can get thinner jump rings as the join to a keychain ring, or just kinda push them through carefully to avoid ripping the hole.
Thanks for the video! Question: when making something like earring or hair clips where its foing to come in contact with body oils, do you finish the piece with anything? Or have you not found that to be an issue. Thank you!
I haven't found it to be a big issue, and they are technically washable since DMC is colorfast and plastic canvas is... well, plastic. They'll just look discolored until they dry off a bit. ;)
Wow girl, you need more views, I've been thinking of picking up cross stitching, but I wasn't ready for such big project. Now that I saw those little cuties I think I might accually try it :333 PS. your elf ears are gorgeous
Aww thanks! You can definitely make all sorts of sized projects, from things you can finish in a day to ones that take years. Just a matter of finding the project that speaks to you! Videos are super exhausting to make though, so I've mostly been focusing on text/photo based tutorials over on my site. 😅 I'm fine with low views tbh. 🤣
Great video! I was wondering if I would be able to use the the same technique on DMC’s Aida cloth? Or should I use a different technique for that? Since the material is a lot more different. Thank you! 🥰
I've seen small things made from normal aida too! But the edges will fray if not treated. I'm not sure what would be best though. I'd stick to a full square rather than cut out shape, for stability. Then backstitch around and stitch it together on the edges like you would a biscornu (see my other video). That way the edges are on the inside and can't fray as easily!
@@Sirithre Thank you so much for the advice 🥰 I’ll try my best! Thank you 🥺 Do you think you would ever make a video on making patches with the Aida cloth? If not, do you know any other people who made videos on making patches with Aida cloth? 💙
