This is a long perpetuated myth. I suggest looking at the research surrounding this topic. The roots that form from the stem are generally for stability and do not provide robust nutrient absorption or fine root growth like the main root ball does. Additionally, most of the nutrients and microbes are closer to the soil surface, so planting the tomato deeply misses the best part of the soil. Also, the soil is colder the deeper you go. Best to just plant normally, slightly below soil level.
I did this a few weeks ago with all my transplants and they all now look great 😁
Hooray! Nice job!!
I like you....your full of good ideas. Thank you !
You are so welcome!
💚👍
The tomatoes are doing so well!
Thank you for sharing this tip. I was doing it wrong.❤
Glad I could help!
You gotta becareful , soil temperature below 50° will ruin your harvest
I like to grow a plamt 8' tall in a pot and lay 3' horizontal in a hole
That's what I was told by a friend.
This is also feasible commercially, but you need some specialty equipment and technique to make the investment of effort worthwhile.
That's how I do it too!! ❤😂
Wahoo!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
The limbs you cut off can be rooted into new plants just by sticking them into the soil.
They sure can! It’s a great method if you have a long growing season. Mine is too short - those cuttings won’t produce before it freezes over here 😩

Oh Lord.
Lay it down.
I saw another video where they did that. Same concept of root growth all the way along, without the need for a deep hole.
That’s another great method! Both work well 💫
