I am a recent widow who kept some of my husband's tools, including a power drill. I had no idea how to put in and take out drill bits and have no one to show me. After searching for a channel that teaches this I finally found yours. Thank you so much for helping me. I bought a squirrel feeder and needed how to hang it to the tree. You're a lifesaver. Thank you again.

Thank you for this. I have been waiting for months to start hanging things in my house and finally said enough! I watched your video and had the bit switched out in less than a minute. God Bless ♡

Thanks so much! This actually makes sense to me now (I’m a visual learner). I’m also a 66 yr old widow doing house/garden fixes by myself, so this video was very helpful.

awesome mate, you have helped me do that, I was suppose to return it thinking wtf its so loose, I cant fit the drill bits and thought I bought a wrong bits, your video helped a lot. Cheers. You can teach how to drill holes on walls and wood etc in your future videos. :)
Thank you so much for the kind comment. That is a great idea! I’m also thinking about doing some videos on vehicles and maintenance. Thank you so much for the feedback.
How do I release the black piece holding the nails in. Does the drill need to be battery charged and working to actually remove it. I just wasn’t to take nails but i feel lost with this thing. These are Milwaukee drills . One with no charge or power is the DriverDrill that has that black piece holding the nail that the one that is functional is naked and without one. I assume the Impact Drill would also need the same to undrill my nails . Correct? If so what to do???
Do you mean the drill bits? If you are, the drill being charged would help you out a lot. You flip the switch to run it in reverse, while holding the black piece at the front of the drill. If it’s not charged, you can hold the black piece at the front of the drill like in this video, and manually twist the part the spins at the top. I hope this helps. Watch in this video how I take these out. If the drill isn’t charged, put it in the reverse position and manually twist that piece that spins at the top.
@@billy-boyplays8180 you helped me take my daughters bed down now I’m On my way to take down an old couch both are going to the dump been trying to get them out foreverrrr so again thanks so much keeep posting
I don’t have a video of the power yet, but I can recommend some powerful brands if you’d like. That’s a good idea for a future video! DeWalt is one of the most powerful, Kobalt from Lowe’s is a good powerful brand as well and much cheaper than DeWalt.
Found it but mine don't spin was wandering if it needs to be charged more. I just bought it the only I used one before it already had a bit in it. I'm 65 and no one here to help. Thank you for your tutorial to help people like me
No problem at all. It sounds like it’s dead. You can either charge it and follow the steps from my video, or you should be able to hold the top piece as I show here, and manually twist the other moveable piece at the top to loosen or tighten the bit. It is an honor to be able to help you and is the purpose for me to make videos like this. I never had someone to show me how this all works and have taught myself. So I figured I’d try to help others. Hope you have a great evening!
Yes you can! Depending on if you’re hanging something, you might want to find a stud in the wall, but you can drill a hole into drywall or a stud with this.
@@KiaLindsay no, so to release the bit, make sure the drill is in reverse with the small button by the trigger, hold your hand on the black plastic on the end of the drill and press the trigger. If the drill isn’t charged enough, you can manually twist the drill end in a counter clockwise motion to remove it. Hope that helps
@@rubieallee you would put the bit in that you need (either flat or the cross style-Phillips) with my instructions in this video, then flip the switch near the trigger to the reverse position, and unscrew the screw. I hope that was clear enough for you. Thank you for the kind words as well. 😁
@@rubieallee okay, so when you switch it to reverse to drill, don’t hold the end as I do in this video. When drilling, you shouldn’t touch the end that locks the bit in place. You only need to do that when changing out the bit and that’s all.
Those are called torque settings. 1 is the lowest and 21 is the highest. Depending on what you are drilling and the types of screws you are using, you can go higher or lower.
Thank God for you, you just tough me how to put a drill bit in. I'm sure I'll have to go back to your video again at some point. Now I gotta figure out how to take these blinds down. They different then the ones I've had in the past.
This specific drill didn’t come with the bit, no. I had bought the bit separately. But sometimes you can find drills packaged with some drill bits. Usually most come with a bit that has a Phillips end and a flathead end on each side. But don’t bank on that. Buy a few that you need just in case. Check the packaging of the drill to be sure. I got this drill used, so it didn’t come with anything but the battery and charger.
@@judahlion3330 no, if you are wanting to drill a hole, you will have to get a different type of bit. The bit you will need will be a long cork screw shaped piece. Around 3-4 inches long. An alternative, you can use the Phillips bit if you are using screws. That method you can simply put the Phillips bit in, hold the screw where you want it, and start applying the power of the drill. If you try to use the Phillips bit directly into wood, the hole will not look good and it could ruin your Phillips bit.
Okay so all you need to do is put the drill to go into the forward position by flipping the switch by the trigger. Now hold the black ring around the tip and it will tighten up.
Pretty clearly explained, could do much better provided you had used a table to put on the machine instead of a bed or a cushion sort of a background and good camera positioning.
I appreciate the constructive criticism. I made this video the way that I did because I don’t really have a good area to film. My wife held the camera as I showed everything. I have a tight budget and tight space, so I did as good as I could with what I have. I appreciate your suggestions though.
Have you ran it in reverse while holding the end to loosen up the spot that holds the bits? After that run it forward while holding the end to tighten.
