I remember wanting a Genesis so bad the time this game came out. My family was struggling but for Christmas they saved every penny and got me a genesis, Sonic, and this game. It was on the couch when we got home. I was so excited! I went to my room and my dad hooked it up for me and I beat this game straight through without getting up. My mom told me a few years ago that she had worked doubles to pay for it since my dad was just diagnosed with cancer and lost his job. I was always thankful.
Very rough and my mom and I still talk about those times. Didn't have much but we were happy because we were so close. Dad was also the one who introduced me to Star Wars and Star Trek. Tony Vane
I used to have this game as a kid back in the 90s! I used to play this game with my family and have a blast. Great game. I was obsessed with the TV show back then when it was cool and always tuned in.. I never had an action figure of them though.
Damn what a nostalgia trip! ☺☺ I remember buying this game at PC Richards & Son, because of the box art. I come realize that it was for the genesis, while I had the snes. Thankfully a friend next door had the console so I could play it. What an awesome time to be alive as a kid 🥰🙌
I was playing this on my emulator yesterday. It's still fun to play today! I played this one and the Snes version. I forgot how great they were back then. Playing them yesterday, brought back so much nostalgia
This really goes back to a time when multi-platform games were not just essentially carbon copies of each other. Look at this game compared to the Super NES Power Rangers game. They are completely different experiences. Aladdin is another example where the games are completely different experiences from one another. I kind of wish we still had that today with multi-platform games. It definitely made for some interesting diversity on the consoles.
while I wasnt a kid in the 90s, I was born in 2006, I had a sega genesis, this game, frogger, and the two sonic games, and more games, like terminator, but I never really played it, but I always played those others, im 16 now, I used to play those games so much when I was like 7 and younger, I specifically remember getting my ass beat by my friend who was like a sister to me while doing two player and getting so mad she kept beating me LMAO, I usually picked madame woe
This game is so fire it’s like a side scroller/beat em up and the combat is really technical and fun . I bet when it came out the kids were spilling they’re honey combs all over the place .
I used to LOVE this game so much when I was little! So many great memories! One weird thing that happened with me was the MUSIC used to scare me as a little kid. I used to ask my Mom to hide the game from me bc I was addicted to playing it bc I loved Power Rangers so much. Then I’d find it and get the music stuck in my head and the cycle would repeat again and again haha. Rita’s cutscenes I always thought had a sinister sound to them for a children’s video game. Even today I think it’s a little darker than it should be lol. This might just be my experience. The MMPR theme and the Green Ranger cutscenes I used to LOVE watching!!
I love this story and can feel how much this meant and will always mean to you. My mum saved my child benefit every week for who knows how long to get me a white bmx at Christmas. My dad carried it home from the shop so the wheels didn't get dirty, its making me tear up even now. I lost my mum when I was 18 to cancer. Hold onto those memories.
I always wanted to know what the mega Zord said at the end before doing the final blow. “Justice shall over something?” Been wondering since I was a kid
I still have the game. Man I was waiting for those special combos though. Where I think if you hold the b button on the controller for the megazord, for quick second emerges with the dragon sword and the drill penetration. And same thing as some of the lightning strike with a sword during battle. And I didn't know this until later when you play two players, there's a special sequence you do you can play as the Green ranger as a monster ( a big version of Tommy versus the megazord, or Monster). Same thing when playing cyclops, you can turn into all gold and shoot like 25 rounds of flame balls.
Never could pick a favorite PR fighting game as a 90s kid. I liked this one on Sega because you could play as rangers, zords, or monsters. My old Power Rangers Fighting Edition on SNES was also a keeper because that one had thunder, ninja, and shogun zords, not to mention Zedd and Ivan Ooze. Never had a Sega as a kid, but wanted one because of this friggin game.
Yeah I remember playing this game as a kid me and a cousin of mine would play it for hours I always choose the red ranger he was my favorite at the time and my cousin loved the green ranger I think you get the green ranger later in the game.
I Had the Good luck of coming across a copy of this game and managed ti get it at a very cheap price works as i remeber it from my childhood and it worked just like it did when it was new.
Godzilla fans in the early/ mid 90's. This was one of the rare games that oddly satisfied your Zilla needs in video games. Which during this time we would take any close to a decent Godzilla game in NA.
I loved this game after playing it but i was expecting a beat em up power rangers game not a fighting game i still played the hell out of these 70 dollar games back then thank you mom love ya😂😂😂😂
One of the first video games I ever owned, I loved this game even though I was expecting to play the SNES version of it on the Sega Genesis instead of a fighting game lol
I remember playing player vs player mode. Dragonzord was nearly unbeatable because he had a move we called the 'Crazy Move' where he would glitch and be impossible to hit.
I remember having both this and the snes version. I forgot which was better but i do remember getting my ass handed to me by the green ranger for ages when I first played it.
There needs to be a XBOX one Power rangers game. Imagine this.... 1. You play over the internet with 4 other people all rangers. You all fight Rita's monsters together as a unit. It is about working together. The monsters are actually SUPER TOUGH - Meaning begginers will only be able to beat the first few monsters. Meaning there is a lot of complaining. You speak on the mic and work together in a 3D environment The game is 3rd person (behind the character) 2. You have all the powers the rangers have including morphing/guns To do the super moves like (mega fire gun shot) or the one where they jump on top of each other (original series) you all have to do the button sequence. Can only be used once. 3. When you get the enemy down to a certain level rita makes him get bigger. You then all get the zords. With another combo you make the megazord (although it needs to be worked out how 4-5 people can control one rebot) 4. Then when you get the enemy down to very little health you can whack them with the lightning sword for the finish. Basically the game has a system of creating unique monsters with unique powers for re-playability. There will be variations such as saving the world, saving people etc etc - like this if you would play this type of game.

Adam Zagursky yes it does!
***** Damn man, what a story... Still cool you could enjoy a masterpiece of a gameconsole at the time... must have been a rough time for you.
Very rough and my mom and I still talk about those times. Didn't have much but we were happy because we were so close. Dad was also the one who introduced me to Star Wars and Star Trek. Tony Vane
I know it's a year later but your story made me tear up. You had really good parents.
Brock Hodge I appreciate it, man. we were super close. It's helped me be who I am as a parent, myself.
I used to have this game as a kid back in the 90s! I used to play this game with my family and have a blast. Great game. I was obsessed with the TV show back then when it was cool and always tuned in.. I never had an action figure of them though.
Jonathan Archer classic
This brings back a lot of memories
that spinning axe move was so overpowered
Tommy: I'm Evil!
Jason: Open your eyes, Tommy! *shoots him in the chest*
Tommy: Wow, I have been a fool. Thanks for making me see the light.
Damn what a nostalgia trip! ☺☺

7:25 Best cutscen ever ever EVER
This is probably the first game I ever played. Jeez the sounds are still so familiar to me after all this time.
I miss this terribly I loved the game andI used to play this game everyday on my computer when I was 4-5
I was playing this on my emulator yesterday. It's still fun to play today! I played this one and the Snes version. I forgot how great they were back then. Playing them yesterday, brought back so much nostalgia

I loved how you could play as evil green ranger in the player vs player matchups
good times...i remember playing the heck out of this game growing up
Still remember playing this on my sega genesis as a kid growing up good times
while I wasnt a kid in the 90s, I was born in 2006, I had a sega genesis, this game, frogger, and the two sonic games, and more games, like terminator, but I never really played it, but I always played those others, im 16 now, I used to play those games so much when I was like 7 and younger, I specifically remember getting my ass beat by my friend who was like a sister to me while doing two player and getting so mad she kept beating me LMAO, I usually picked madame woe
The best part of the game is that you can play as the green ranger and the Dragonzord.
This game is so fire it’s like a side scroller/beat em up and the combat is really technical and fun . I bet when it came out the kids were spilling they’re honey combs all over the place .

This is one of the games from my childhood. I miss it if I could, I’d find it again and get a sega genesis just to play it
I still have the game. Man I was waiting for those special combos though. The Dragonzord has Godzilla's roar xD
Bovice williams :)
I still love this game!

I loved very much when I was a kid mainly green ranger
Cyclopsis was so fucking sick
I like how while the snes was a side scrolling beat em up the Genesis version was a fighting game
But snes has the best power ranger fighting game.
I had an SNES, but I never had that game at all
Phucing Sith Nah the MMPR Movie Genesis game is.
I was lowkey mad because I though this one was going to be a beat em up, but it still was cool, but SNES won the battle far as both games
Yeah I remember playing this game as a kid me and a cousin of mine would play it for hours I always choose the red ranger he was my favorite at the time and my cousin loved the green ranger I think you get the green ranger later in the game.
You kept the battles consistent with each matching ranger for each fight, thanks.
loved this game as a kid
Brings back memories. Played this. Shinobi. Batman. Xmen. Street fighter. Streets of rage . And altered beast
I Had the Good luck of coming across a copy of this game and managed ti get it at a very cheap price works as i remeber it from my childhood and it worked just like it did when it was new.
I know games have cutscenes but this one of the first games that got me to pay attention to cutscenes
like friend good game!
You know what would be cool. If they had Power Ranger motorbike helmets lol.
This video is taking me so far back. I remember when my uncle bought this for me. It was the first video game I ever beat.
Godzilla fans in the early/ mid 90's. This was one of the rare games that oddly satisfied your Zilla needs in video games. Which during this time we would take any close to a decent Godzilla game in NA.
ahhh childhood memories I remember I played this game when I was a child I use to love the mighty morphin power rangers and still do
Rita: "You made my gnarly monster fall!!!" LMAO!!
RIP to Jason David Frank! 🐉🗡🕊
May The Power Protect Him 💚
I played this game when I was 6 years old. My father got me this game back in 1995 since I used to owned Sega Genesis.
I used to play this game on Sega Genesis. I used to play as the black power ranger.
I loved this game after playing it but i was expecting a beat em up power rangers game not a fighting game i still played the hell out of these 70 dollar games back then thank you mom love ya😂😂😂😂
I remember being so young playing this!!!! It had to be my favorite game being that it involved the power rangers lol
One of the first video games I ever owned, I loved this game even though I was expecting to play the SNES version of it on the Sega Genesis instead of a fighting game lol
I'm a genesis kid, but this just seemed like a re-skinned street fighter. The one thing I like about it is the voice on the game
kevin davis you have impressive lips.
17:20. From earth to the moon in 5 seconds 🤣. Loved this game so much!
I remember playing player vs player mode. Dragonzord was nearly unbeatable because he had a move we called the 'Crazy Move' where he would glitch and be impossible to hit.
I MISS THIS GAME!!!
Decent Fighting game with good Fighting System (is possible to do some combos)
The only power ranger game from the 90s where the green ranger is a playable character💯💯💯
@@GabrielDejeZues yep. You can play as Tommy on the Sega CD version, but it really doesn’t count since it’s showing the green with evil episodes
Lol I love the way that easiest/difficulty 1 doesnt even fight back at all
AWESOME OPENING TO MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS 1994 SEGA GENESIS GAME !!!!
Quien sigue reviviendo a este juegazo de sega like si nada no
Bruh, Cyclopsis was ridiculous as the cpu.
Vivid memories of this game.
AWWWWW i love this game!!!
Basically the game of my childhood. Much wow.
This was the first fighting game I ever played.
I love power rangers since I was born in 1993
I remember having both this and the snes version. I forgot which was better but i do remember getting my ass handed to me by the green ranger for ages when I first played it.
I can't wait to play the new Mighty Morphin Power Rangers game that's coming out this year in 2024
me too!
@@VideoGaming4U May The Power Protect You
I don't know who am I going to play first when Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Rita's Rewind comes out ?
This brings back some many awsome memories, THANK U SO MUCH
I love Power Rangers
I beat the game five or six times on a Sega Genesis emulator
Man I miss my swag gen so much. Love this game and hated it so much because how bad I was in this game
the actress who played Rita when they switched over to an American actress actress so they could use her for American footage is still alive
Played the hell out of this portable game!
Me and my sister used to play this game
never played the genesis version but it looks fun as hell
Bring on the classic power rangers.
Cyclopsis looks cool.
classic. so fun
So much nostalgia
Man that green ranger was a bitch to beat. I don't think I ever made it past him as a kid.
they couldn't afford to build any sets similar to what's here in the game. that Minotaur waterfall megaZord level was awesome looking
this ones really diff than the snes, where you build to the megazord fight, its more of a fighting game
Me and my brother would play this game for hours and hours, then put in the Power Rangers the Movie game and play that for hours.
I found it...after all this years...!
Cyclopsis was a tough Zord to beat.
I swear when I play this I get a street fighter vibe
this game i play when i child
This was the 1st game I ever beat
This game scared the fuck outta me as a kid😂😂💀
18 Putty Patrolers dislike this video! I Definitely hit that like button! "It's morphin time!!"
It's kind of a street fighter version of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
RIP Green Ranger.
Cyclopsis was the akuma of street fighter for me... Broken pj
Like bro! Nice game!
So they shout "Power Rangers" at the Power Rangers title screen, just like they would shout "Ghostbusters" at the Ghostbusters NES title screen
Special thanks to UNEMPLOYED
was always my favorite stage because the music was fire still remember the password 5113
Timothy Alston Jr hey do know how to do any moves cuz I'm stuck?
SIGHS RIP TOMMY
Kangen game ini kaset dan sega apa msh ada
The blue ranger all day
So classic especially the sound effects
It's a good game, but the one for the SNES was just soooo much better.
And I thought the Genesis version would be the same as SNES. Guess not. Still looks good though. ^^

LIKE TMNT ARCADE BUT BETTER SOMEONE GET THIS TO WHOEVER CAN MAKE THIS GAME
Am I the only one who thinks Rita Repulsa’s lines are closer to Bandora’s?
