The whole conversation is moot because those girls are actually trained pole dancers, NOT strippers. As a pole dancer myself, I personally know and train with 4 of the girls in that video, and none of them has ever stripped.

um...but they are. Let's not pretend this isn't sexual and designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator. It's no accident that "working the pole" has two different meanings.
Women - like men - gotta do what they gotta do to survive in the world and keep a roof over their heads and food in their stomachs, and I don't look down on them for that...but it is what it is. Pretending that something is different than what it really is, is not respectful (or respectable)...it's just denial of reality.
I hold the same opinion of the popular practice of calling strippers "dancers" or "entertainers". The ballet employs dancers...if she's wearing 6 inch heels and removing articles of clothing in exchange for cash, she's a stripper. Again, it is what it is. No disrespect.
And if they are not strippers, then where are their clothes?? They are working the pole in their undies. Presumably, their shirts and pants came off before filming began.

Can we just get over the women and issue of stripping/pole dancing, and appreciate the music Diplo has produced! If he wants to have beautiful pole dancers in his music video, he can do that! I think they are very talented people, you haters try getting on a pole and doing that stuff... then have the motivation to keep practicing and getting better at it.
