Just so you know those aren’t pods! That would only be orca which stay as a family in a pod their lifetime! Only time you see big whales together it’s because a lot of food in that area! Whales are SO COOL I'm so glad you've made a video about them with your usual incredible quality! Sperm whales are my favorite animal ever, because I mean, a giant predator that dives into the dark to hunt the mysterious giant squid? Cool as hell! Some more facts because I love them. Their clicks are supposedly loud enough they could literally kill a human swimming nearby from the vibration alone! Sperm whales were the most sought after during whaling times, but they dive so deep and so long their population was less impacted than most other whale species. One of their ancestors was the Levyatan Melvillei, a similarly sized but more terrifying creature, with giant teeth on the upper and lower jaws, that competed with the equally sized megalodon for prey
I sense you’re really passionate about these creatures... and I love it!! Never ever lose that, they are fascinating and beautiful and yet tragically misunderstood! I feel so honoured that such an avid whale lover found my vid and enjoyed it - that’s a win 😂

Thank you!! Sorry about the length, I’ll work on making my videos longer in the future 💛 I really appreciate your feedback and support, welcome to the channel
Orcas are just so fascinating. Recently, they’ve been hunting great whites for fun (off the coast of South Africa I believe). They eat the livers and leave the rest of the body. It’s just mind boggling to me that they’re just so well adapted that the infamous great whites are toys to them. In pretty much every ocean documentary, there will be orcas featured. There’s always clips of them hunting seals and tossing them around. It’s a bit distressing to watch, but that’s just nature. At the moment, they are unrivaled.

This is part of a common family of phobias. Me, I viscerally dislike large artificial structures in water, such as the pilings under piers or the legs of oil rigs.
@@NaturalWorldFacts well, I wonder though, because it's not that it's a machine or any specific sort of structure, just any large structure that isn't part of the natural environment. I think subconsciously my feelings are A) one could get up under there and be trapped and drown and B) unnatural hiding place implies unnatural predators. Obviously neither of these meaningfully reflect a situation that could or would happen to me, but...

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely comment - I really appreciate the support :)
I also found this by accident and I'm thrilled that I did! Your videos are not only beautifully shot but the narration is awesome! Really, really well done, thank you so much!
Thank you!! Thats so lovely of you, I can’t wait to make and share many more with you guys :)
The narrator deserves a medal, voice so soothing puts my mind at ease😌😌😌💪💯🙏
I just wanted to say that i'm very thankful with you for putting subtitles. I am not a native speaker, and it really helps because i don't understand English that well.
Thank you
No worries at all! I’m really glad you found them useful, I’ll make sure to always add them in :)
When David Attenborough passes (may it be years to come) I hope you take over
He’s my idol! I’d love to do what he does! 😊
Dear God NO!
I thought the same thing
Sir David Attenborough is in his 90’s, it’s amazing he is still doing what he does.
This is probably one of the best quality channels I’ve seen on the internet, the soothing narration to the beautiful editing. I can’t name a flaw that this channel has. Keep up the fantastic work!!
Thank you so much!
mark my words this channel gonna have millions soon. YALL WILL REMEMBER MY COMMENT THEN
That would be amazing!!!
@@NaturalWorldFacts you really have beautiful content
Incredible content, great narration and really informative. We really need to protect the oceans and seas, after all life on earth had its beginnings there. You have great talent, it's good you are putting it into good use. Good luck on your studies to become a marine biologist, your off with a impressive start!
I'm surprised that "52 Hertz" wasn't mentioned in the section talking about Whale Vocalizations, as it is one of the most famous whales based solely on its Song.
I have never heard of that, but you have my attention! I’d love to hear more about it.
@@NaturalWorldFacts It's a whale that started out singing at 52 hertz when it was first discovered, but it has deepened since then. The migration pattern it supposedly takes is similar to a fin whale's pattern, but it's far louder than the blue whale
That’s incredible! Thank you so much for the insight
I googled this, fascinating, heart touching.
Found 3 sites, all mention fundraising to find this whale, but I can't find how to contribute!!
If you know, please post here.
Just found out about your channel somehow, didnt realize how small the channel is compared to others, i really love the deep sea because of its mysteriousness, glad i finally found a channel dedicated for that
I’m so glad you found me! I love making these, it’s do much fun to immerse myself in this wonderful footage when I write and edit, and so rewarding to share it with others who are just as passionate about the depths :)
It's about quality not quantity. Not that he doesn't deserve millions of subscribers. I hate that those big huge RUclipsrs who are bad people, get so many subscribers and make money off of drama and controversy. They don't deserve that money and subs. This type of channel is what is true quality. I hope he grows and gets the positive attention he deserves. I wish we could sub more than once. XOXOXO
@lewislisa lewislisa That means a lot, thank you for being so supportive of me and my channel!
The almighty algorithm has recognized your channel. I expect this channel to blow up in the next few months. Great content, you deserve what’s coming
Thank you!!
You seriously should make a podcast video, I will personally listen to it for hours
I've watched a few videos now and this is the only channel i've found so far that is my kind of nature documentaries - the ones that capture the majesty of nature and are informative, but with a voice that is relaxing and calm. These are really well done videos!
This really put a smile on my face, thank you so much for the lovely comment. Can’t wait to make even more vids :)
The good thing is that there is so much sea that its impossible that you will run out of things to make videos about and thus we can all enjoy this class A content. I hope to keep watching your videos for years to come
Thank you, I have plans for many many more and I just can’t wait to share them with you guys!
@@NaturalWorldFacts you got like 80k subs this month!!!! Hurray!
@flanders yes! Isnt it cool, he also still gives out hearts and comments like he still was on 2,5k
The fascination in your commentary and presentation bring out the excited and inquisitive part of me that I've long though to have outgrown with age. These are truly remarkable.
Aw thats so sweet, thank you
My goto youtube channel for when I did Zoom lessons with my nephew.
That’s so lovely, I hope you enjoyed and both you and your nephew are doing well :)
I watched one recommended video about Deep Sea Gigantism and now I'm about to binge the whole Deep Sea Wonders playlist. The narrator's voice is so relaxing, they just take you to another world
there are only so many content creators left on youtube that still produce high-quality works... i’m overjoyed to have found this channel!
Thank you, this really means a lot to me :)
These videos are always so great and engaging. I sometimes find myself clicking off of videos if they go on too long or if I lose interest, but I don’t do that when I watch these. I absolutely love your voice. It’s a perfect blend of enchanting, intelligent, and, if I’m being honest, very attractive. It just feels like I’m listening to a person who really cares about the topic, which I don’t doubt you do. Thank you for these absolutely wonderful videos.
Thank you so much for the kind words - I started making these as a little hobby and am blown away by the response they’ve head. Your support really does mean a lot, and I can’t wait to make and share many more videos in the future :)
How to you not have 20+ million subscribers, this is better than natgeo, mad respect
Thank you so much!!!!
Finally, just a channel about the sea creatures.
Whoever is doing the audio engineering on these is genius. Putting different reverbs on to emphasise the large open spaces he is talking about, and great timing of sounds.
I would totaly watch a 1 hour version of these
I had no intention of watching this whole thing, I was planning on going to bed but wanted to see the cool sleepy whales before I did. But holy moly, this is so high quality! I was hooked, you've done such an amazing job this is incredible!
This channel deserves so much more attention, well done edits, narration, and compacts basically a whole documentary in 15 minutes
Thank you so much! I adore your name by the way
The combination of your voice, British accent and a proper music is just mind-blowing. You are a genius
This is top quality compared to regular RUclips standards.
How have I only just discovered this channel! The work put in to these videos is incredible, better than most documentaries!
That means a lot, thanks so much 😊😊
Killing other whales for fun..oof, good to know other species seem to have psychopaths as well 👌🏼
Orca 1: Private, you see that calf?
Orca 2: Yes sir!
Orca 1: I don't want to
Orca 2: Yes sir!
This must be every whale-moms worst nightmare, having your baby rammed and drowned next to you, being forced to watch, unable to help. Thats terror...
Orcas' motto: "if it moves then it could be killed".
Whale Queda
@@princesseville6889 that’s the sad reality of the wild...it ain’t much of a paradise as some people like to see it as
Either this guy gets a good job with Animal Planet or he just does his own thing! I will watch either way
Thanks :) I’d love to work for a channel like that
He's better off doing his indie work.
@@Cobaltblueprism I'd have to agree. Maybe 15 years ago, but have you seen the trash on that channel lately?
I am sad that I only now found this channel because this is exactly what I've been looking for, but I am very happy now that I've found it.
Thank you!! I’m very excited to make and share many more soon :)
I found you a couple days ago and this is now my favourite channel. It's about my favourite topic (deep ocean, and just ocean in general), the quality is incredible, and your voice is relaxing. Cheers to 100k subscribers!
Thank you so so much - this has put a smile on my face :)
@@NaturalWorldFacts You're very welcome! I can tell how passionate you are about nature and I love it!
That’s really sweet - I’ve loved nature for as long as I can remember, so getting to make and share these videos is a dream come true!
are you a furry?
Im amazed how giant whales can still exist in this time. Especially reconsidering most giant creatures went extinct after the prehistoric age.
This channel has helped reignite my interest in marine biology. Such beautiful content.
Aw that’s so lovely to hear, thank you for telling me! The oceans are incredible
I'm so glad I came across this channel since I love learning more about the marine life. The way this video is paced is just great. Your narration is also lovely and relaxing. The music and editing is awesome too. All in all I really enjoyed this video and I look forward for more. :)
Thank you!! Your feedback is really lovely :)
I don`t know why but I cry watching this beautifully shot short documentary. Such a beautiful creature that we take for granted :(.
this kept on appearing on my recommended until it finally got my interest. bro, i was not disappointed. the narration was clear and relaxing, while the video itself is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. hands down to this video
A Calm, soothing, kind voice that educates me further about sea creatures, my favorite type of animals...
I think I’ll be sticking around for more content, thank you very much!
Aww thank you, I really hope you enjoy the rest too :)
There are many more yet to come!
You manage to create some amazing atmosphere in your videos with great music, content and editing!
Can’t wait for the next uploads⚡️
the narrator's voice is so soothing to listen to.
Thank you :)
Deep Sea Gigantism brought me here, where my 9 year old was enthralled by your content. Subbed.
High quality videos filled with animals and nature with no propaganda just about the animal. Beautiful and deeply refreshing, I Love Whales. Thank you very much.
This is National Geographic levels of quality. Can’t wait to see what your channel does next!
this should be a 2 hours long documentary
Awesome work, you rarely see this type of production quality on youtube.
Aw thank you
Finally this channel is getting the recognition It deserves, congrats on 100k subs!
That reverb level is genius. Perfect atmospheric addition to your chill cadence.
Watched one video as my friend told me to watch a video on squid and can't stop. Videos are nuts man, thanks for making them.
Thanks, I love making them so there’ll be no shortage of new vids anytime soon 😁
Since the video was way too short it was hard putting just the most important into the video, you probably nailed it but still, we lack video length. Felt like two minutes. The footage is very high quality, I am surprised. I love you
Thank you!! Sorry about the length, I’ll work on making my videos longer in the future 💛 I really appreciate your feedback and support, welcome to the channel
Thank you too.
These videos are top of the line. The research, the narration, the images, the sound, the composition, everything is top notch! KUDOS
OMG! 12K subs in a day. Man the RUclips algorithm really is starting to get good at recommending these kinds of AWESOME channels. Congrats! Btw I was here before 100K subs. I can't wait to say "Hey, I was here before a million subscribers". 👍🏻
Thank you so much Elijah!! Couldn’t have got here without people like you :)
A quality documentary presented with the perfect narration. Thank you for this!
Man... you are just freaking awesome. I always love watching ocean documentaries. I really do not know what else to say other than "thank you for making these videos."
Aww thank you so much!!
time to watch every video from this channel to get ideas for fantasy wildlife. the short format makes them so easy to watch, i think i’ve found one of my favourite channels 💜
Aww thats so cool - would love to know what you come up with!! Find me on insta :)
This man will continue the legacy of the legendary David Attenborough. Good work!
Now this is quality content. Don't worry you'll get the sub you deserve, keep doing video's like this because we need you, the world needs you.
beautiful documentary!
congratulations on reaching 100k subscribers!
quality content such as this channel needs to be recognized more!
you deserved more than this, keep up the amazing work! millions are sure to come!

Really wishing you'll get the attention and support that you deserve with these quality videos!
Thank you so much 💛
I love whales, but the idea of being in the water near something so large makes my stomach turn.
I love them too and always wanted to touch one and see what their skin felt like. I wonder if it's rough, like a manta ray?
@@kasey9067 its quite slippery, bit like wet rubber. Warmer than you think when you feel it :) (Humpback)
This is part of a common family of phobias. Me, I viscerally dislike large artificial structures in water, such as the pilings under piers or the legs of oil rigs.
@George Parkins Submechanophobia!
Obviously neither of these meaningfully reflect a situation that could or would happen to me, but...
after watching this for the 4th time this week (yes _in a row_ ) I think I've gotta admit that this video has become comfort content I seek out to sleep to.
I couldn't tell you what exactly it is, especially as I was never into whale sounds as other people seem to be, but it makes me feel very safe which is quite rare considering my anxiety disorder..
also the part where he says "the misticetti and the odontocetti" makes me very happy, it's my favorite for some reason.
Idk but this video is just calling to me so thank you, Leo, for uploading it because even though sleeping isn't too much of a struggle for me I appreciate it immensely nonetheless
here I thought I knew about whales, and not even 5 minutes in I’ve learned 3 things I didn’t already know. Thanks so much for this video!
this is one amazing short docu in a series of amazing shorts. I truly love these about nature. the commentator's voice is so soothing and it makes you almost imagine yourself being right there with the camera man filming the footage. all in all great love it!
This deserves more views!!!
It does
Oh hell yeah this is gonna be good! Whales have long time been my favourite (present-day) marine vertebrates. And I just checked out your video on the life in the polar depths, that was amazing to watch. It's remarkable that so many different lifeforms have adapted to living in frigid waters below the ice... Does make one wonder about how likely it might be for life to exist in the sub-surface oceans on the icy moons of Jupiter and Saturn.
Thanks Christian, I’m so glad you enjoyed these last two vids. I often daydream about the life we might someday find lurking beneath the ice on those moons! It’s only a matter of time, but I so hope it occurs within our lifetimes!
On another note, I’m especially excited to share the next one as it was requested by you! ;) I can’t recall if you already saw it or not, but regardless it was a brilliant suggestion!
@@NaturalWorldFacts I'm optimistic for sure, with exploration of the outer Solar System being ramped up, I'm convinced we're gonna find life out there by 2050, if not much sooner.
And I can't wait for the next vid! What's it gonna be, bobbit worms or the Mariana Trench? :) Either way I'm stoked for next tuesday!
@@christianv-h3278 If we can meet our extraterrestrial brethren that soon, I want to join the welcoming committee.
