Why does benny get to be 8-1 of his last 9, but Charles is 1-1 in his last 2? You can just as easily say Charles is 11-1 in his last 12, and benny is 0-1 in his last 1.

It’s not how many Dariush won. It’s who did he beat. His best win was against Gamrot. Ferguson was done when he fought Dariush. Oliveira last 5 fights he’s 4-1 with wins against Chandler, Poirier, Gaethje and Dariush. This isn’t hard Uncle Chael. Oliveira exposed Dariush.
The fact that you need wins over big names to decide who’s deserving of a title shot instead of who has the best skill, shows how much information your brain can handle. 99% of the mma community really have no idea what they’re watching, and Because of this they depend on this retarded methodology to decide who’s the best.

We know it’s a Fight Night this year [Nov. 4 in Sao Paulo], but it might be a numbered card early next year in Brazil. Charles deserves a belt in Brazil. It’s Charles’ dream to fight in Brazil And I think he deserves that.”

I think what the UFC’s waiting for is Volk’s fight with Yair. If volk comes out relatively unharmed, the turnaround for October wouldn’t the craziest thing. Also, after Volk v. Makhachev 1, the two verbally agreed to having the rematch set on fight island. If it’s not Charles it’s gotta be Volk

Volk is the sitting champion of a different division. Regardless of how good their fight was, his first priority needs to be ruling that division. Not immediately jumping back into another title fight outside of his weight class. At this point, if he wants to be the LW champion that bad, he should relinquish the FW title. •He didn't take an immediate rematch.

I didn’t saw any change in style of Charles Oliviera except the flying stuff he throws. Beneil tried to fight fire with fire. Where as Islam was countering Oliviera. Islam fighting style is a Kryptonite for Charles fighting style. Even on the ground, Beneil preferred ground and pound over control and it is not the wise game against Charles. Islam is among the best in position grappling. I think there is great chance islam submits Charles again.

LW is the most interesting division, period. You can make any fight with anyone in the top 10 and it’s at worst, main event worthy! Not only recently either, which is most impressive. It’s been this way for several years. To think there’s a very good possibility of Max and Alex moving up?? I don’t think it will change for a long time…most exciting division in all the UFC without question.
If Islam rematches both Charles and Volk and beats them both I can hear weirdos saying "Well he's only beat 1 lightweight." Regardless Oliviera is next. Poirier/Gaethje won't be ready in 3 months after their bloodbath. Volk MAY be ready if he doesn't take much damage. Especially since it won't be a full cut for him. Plus Volk owes Islam a fight in Abu Dhabi. Both makes sense.
#1 contender means he can beat the rest of the division, Charles has beat everyone in the top 5 except the champion… for now
Dana should shoot for another Canada or Brasil card for Islam and Charles for early 2024. Give Charles time to prepare and for people to believe he has a better chance to beat Islam in the second encounter. Give Abu Dhabi to another contender. Less stress for Charles who doesn’t want to fight there anyway, and we keep the ball rolling. Charlie’s public consent with this arrangement would be great for the fans too, which may have already been disclosed with his announcement of fight Conner.

There are arguments for Makhachev to do rematches with Oliveira and Volkanovski. One fight was close and the other wasn't remotely close. It's within the realm of possibility that we could see one fighter square off against the same two opponents a total of six times. How many times do we need to see Makhachev fight the same two opponents?

I only agree that Dustin/Justin isn’t the move. Regarding Volk, I’d argue that Volk beat Islam, he came out with far less damage and Islam couldn’t progress his grappling and wrestling positions. The fight ended with him smashing Islam while Islam held on for life watching the clock just trying to survive long enough to hear the bell.
Regardless, Islam was great on the feet and I understand why he won by the way the UFC scores fights. With that being said, he not only lost, but he’s not a light weight.
Charles is the fight to make. If Volk beats Rodriguez, he should step up to 155 and stay there. Otherwise, him just running the rematch with Islam or jumping straight to the champion fight just ties up the divisions.
Assuming Volk wins with Rodriguez, let him run with the winner of Dustin and Justin. Winner of that takes on the champion (which should be Islam or Charles)
