Gaborik actually watched the highlights of this game a couple of hours before the game where he had his own five-goal night! Talk about inspiration!

Watching this tournament when I was kid, seeing Bure, Selänne, Kurri, Gretzky, Yzerman and other Great players in that tournament, and i was like "nah its just everyday games". What a tournament what a players.

Bure put up great numbers when there was clutching and garbbing still going on in the league. It is scary to think what he could do if he was in his prime today.

Это видео нужно использовать, как пособие по реализации выходов 1 на 1. В хоккее их реализовывать намного сложнее, чем в футболе.

This was the reason why The Vancouver Canucks got Pavel Bure in the 1989 NHL Draft. He was the most exciting hockey player to watch during the 1990s. Blazing speed and explosive shot earned him the nickname The Russian Rocket. A delight for Canuck fans like me and a terror for opposing goaltenders.

Most goalies can't adjust quick enough with Bure's unbelieveable speed and skill. He is the whole package.

That Bure's 4th goal is amazing, how in the world can he control the puck so well at that speed is beyond me

Bure is one of the top 3 goal scorers ever to play in the NHL ~ Pure skill matched with his acceleration made him of the best ever

he didnt even have to lift the puck off the ice to score 5 goals. truly a hero. his fourth was the best, with his RIDICULOUS speed and the dangles on the breakaways are better than anyones.

Sweet Jesus! This is a legend! I remember this game like it was yesterday. I was on my knees and praying in front of my TV. I am russian and guess what, I'm happy :) Credits to fins, but Pavel was awesome! I mean it's no use to compare, players like him live in the world of their own. For me he is always the most exciting one. The rocket! It's just too pity to loose 0-1 to those boring always defensive goalie-depenent czechs...though gaschek is a beast...

Haha =) I remember the article in the newspaper, the day before this match.
Jarmo Myllys was goalkeeper in Luleå hockey, where I lived back then.
"I know how to stop Pavel Bure" he said =)
The day after the game it was another article where he tributed Bure pretty well =)

  • @J0113

Yeah definately. Don't forget Zetteberg. ;)
Also Sergei Fedorov in his prime had AMAZING speed! Alex Ovechkin is good, but imagen him what all the speed. He would, literally but unstoppable, combined with all that muscles.
