  • “Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him.” -Dr. Charles Stanley
    Every action we take has consequences, whether we’re obeying God or disobeying Him. In this message, Dr. Stanley discusses the fallout from Adam and Eve’s decision to listen to the devil instead of their loving Father. The truth is that there are repercussions for sin, but ultimately God is on our side when we repent and accept His forgiveness. Take heed of God’s commands because obeying them is always in your best interest.
    This sermon is part of the series, Guidance From the Garden.

    Thank God for Dr. Stanley. I was led to his channel while I was still in my home country where internet services were so poor and expensive. But those expenses never deterred me from listening to his channel most times of the week. At that same time I never knew God was going to miraculously bring me to the United States. I can’t thank God enough for how his teachings has impacted my life. Though not perfect, God has always raised me up to and brought me back to his paths of righteousness after some set up in life. I can’t compare the richness and the depth of satisfaction I have had in my relationship with Christ to the fleeting riches and pleasure in this world. I will never trade this relationship for anything. Thank you Dr. Stanley for holding on to the truth of God’s world and leading millions all over the world into the knowledge of God and Christ our savior.

    I truly love this Pastor. My sister stumbled across your sermon on t.v early one Sunday morning. She later told me about InTouch Ministries, now I am hooked. Although I worship and observe the Saturday Sabbath day you are the one Pastor I always enjoy listening to. At the end of one of your sermons on youtube you were advertising a free copy of your book, " Every Day In His presence- 365 Daily Devotions", as I live in Australia I could not order one. So I googled searched it, it was all sold out at our local Christian book shop Koorong.. Paying $32.48 for it plus postage from Perth to Sydney was worth it. I received my copy today. I cannot wait to start reading it. Thank you Dr. Charles Stanley and your team at IntouchMinistries for all the work you do.

    Prayer Focus: God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with the desire, strength, wisdom, and spirit of obedience to obey You, Your Word, and Your will for my life. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. So that I can and will walk in VICTORY as I hear and obey Your voice and Word. God let Your blessing overtake me as You have promised in Deuteronomy 28:2-13, because I obey You. God all that I have asked of You in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of this prayer and all those I love and care about. Holy Spirit help each of us to trust God and walk in obedience to God's voice and Word even when it is hard, or we don't want to. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith it is so. Thank You Jesus. Amen.

    • @cstottmassage

      AllaroundNbackagain you do what you want but that doesn't change the fact that killing wasn't in God's original plan, which is the truth! Sin wasn't in God's original plan either, so should we sin too? Or is that ok because our ancestors did it? Just so you know, there are no bacon cheese hamburgers in heaven. Think about it :-)

      cstottmassage why would abraham offer the angels meat to eat ? did they refuse to eat it or rebuke him ? would you also take dis respectful teenagers and stone them to death? I take advice straight from Jesus Christ: It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles but what comes out

    • @davidweirauch849
      @davidweirauch849 7 лет назад

      God also designed us to live sin free lives. I think that when we lost our,"sinless glory, after the flood, we lost a part of us physically, as well as spiritually. That and the fact that if you kept reading, you would have come across chapter 9 where God tells man to teat meat. If you choose not to, that is your choice. God told ,Noah, that the sky was the limit. Oh, and in the beginning, we could eat any plant that grew, try doing that now.

    Does this mean if we disobed God and know it will affect us our whole lives, that we did not do God's will or the disobedience disqualify us to do his will?

  • @kipmcewen949
    @kipmcewen949 7 лет назад +3

    The consequences of disobedience ultimately was the fall of man. Man was bound to total depravity, but under grace, according to Joseph Prince, at salvation, all sins past, present and future a Christian will commit are forgiven; he has taught that we don't confess sin to be forgiven, we confess sin because we were forgiven and a Christian " cannot lose favor" with God...

    • @kipmcewen949
      @kipmcewen949 7 лет назад +1

      Cont... Paul covered some heavy issues and weighty matters in 1 Cor. 6:8-10 and Galatians, chapter 5. Christians have and do mess up and struggle with addictions, gluttony, envy, lust, etc, covered by Paul in 1 Cor. 6:8-10 & Galatians, chap. 5...

    • @kipmcewen949
      @kipmcewen949 7 лет назад +1

      Conclusion: Paul lists LGBTQ people in 1 Cor. 6: 8-10, and Galatians, chapter 5, but right next to this is envy, addictions, gluttony, lust, etc, so a Christian struggling with LGBTQ sins, cannot be cast off if they mess up anymore than a Christian can be cast off for struggling with envy, addictions, gluttony or lust. If LGBTQ people after salvation mess up & this is proof they were never saved to begin with, then Christians struggling with envy, lust, addictions were never saved to begin with. If God delivers the LGBTQ person at salvation, he would deliver Christians from all lust, envy, addictions, etc at salvation, as all of the aforementioned, including LGBTQ people are listed in 1 Cor. 6: 8-10 & Galatians, chapter 5.

    • @kipmcewen949
      @kipmcewen949 7 лет назад +1

      In conclusion, if Paul lists all of the above sins as being disqualifiers for inheriting the Kingdom of God "1 Cor. 6:9-10 and Gal. 5:19-21) at what point then --- in combination with what Joseph Prince teaches that all a believers sins "past, present and future" are forgiven, that a Christian "cannot lose favor with God," and they we don't confess to be forgiven, bit because we were forgiven, at what point does the eventual penalty for 1 Cor. 6:9-10 and Gal. 5:19-21 activate?

    Here is a question: first let me say, God knows everything about all His creation, both angels and people. He has foreknowledge prior to creating anyone, in other words, He knows what everyone is going to do even before they are created/born. Now my question: since God is all-knowing why did He choose to create lucifer and make him the most beautiful angel of all angels and then after the rebellion (God knew before it happened) God kicks him out of heaven down to earth where he (lucifer now satan) goes and tempts Adam and Eve...why would a good God do that knowing all the evil that would be unleashed on mankind?? Why would God even make lucifer knowing he would usher evil into God's good creation??? And why would God choose to let him live after all the evil lucifer has done?? God destroyed the world in Noah's time implying He was ridding the world of evil but did not destroy the author of evil????

    • @InTouchMinistries
      @InTouchMinistries  Год назад

      The answer to these interesting and thought-provoking questions cannot be definitively answered since they aren’t directly addressed in scripture. An attempt to give a full answer requires too much speculation, however we can extrapolate from what we do know and that is, God knows all, past, present and future and in His wisdom, He gave His created beings free will. True free will requires the ability to disobey. God put the Tree in the Garden to give humans a choice, to obey or not to… a choice to love Him or reject Him... a choice that we all retain today.
      While we can see immense evil in the world and our hearts long to see pain and suffering eliminated, our estimation of what is bad verses good is fatally flawed. We have only limited understanding of our own time and space. We cannot see the future, correctly understand the time in which we live nor accurately understand how both the present and future are shaped by the past. For example, the story of Joseph from Genesis chapters 37-50 tells of immense wrong done against an innocent man. (Joseph being sold into slavery, being dragged to Egypt, being falsely accused, being put in prison etc). These things were allowed by God because He was using them for a greater good. (Joseph being brought into the Pharoah's court, explaining the Pharoah's dreams, being put in charge of all the food, saving Egypt from the famine, and saving Israel and his family from the famine.) While we might have wished to step in to right the wrong done to Joseph by his brothers at the beginning of the story, would we also have unknowingly condemned Joseph and his entire family to death at the same time? Our desire to right wrongs can be well intentioned but also be misguided by our limited perspective.
      When it comes to God’s reason for allowing Lucifer, once again, we cannot know for certain, but the same choices we have in choosing to follow God or not were also given to him and the other angelic beings. Choosing not to create Lucifer because God knew that he would choose to rebel would ultimately be a decision to thwart the expression of Lucifer's free will. And if Lucifer (or any other being) could only choose to serve, then free will ceases to exist.
      While it seems that maybe eliminating one creature (Lucifer) would solve all the problems, using human wisdom will always fall short in understanding divine purpose. Though it seems as though Lucifer has free reign in our world to cause havoc and evil, scripture is clear on this point... he is a defeated foe. At the cross of Jesus Christ, sin, death, hell and the devil were conquered. While we have yet to see the ultimate fulfillment of being rid of these adversaries, we can know for certain that these enemies will be “thrown into the lake of burning sulfur” (Revelation 20:10). For now, we can live in the victory given to us by Christ and use our free will to serve, love and glorify God until the day He brings all things to an end.
