Yup but in my state having another kid is your problem they will tell you to stop having kids you can’t pay for but she would have never gotten $800 for one kid even on $50k income more like $450. They subtract all the basic debit first then add the child support failure to pay is jail time.

What most women need to realize is, child support isn’t and shouldn’t be used to make the father miserable. They should still be able to live their lives and have fun too. She’s for sure in her feelings about his relationship and other child.

However, in this case the mother receives the money. There are no checks and balances - the mother may not know how to budget and allocate the money. Each case is unique.
@@mousemeat1352 It's an equal responsibility. Most divorces are initiated by the woman, not because of abuse, but because "the man isn't romantic enough anymore" or something else stupid. And yes, if you have kids, any reason other than abuse is stupid. They universally are selfish and exclusively hurt the child.
So yes, it's an equal responsibility. She gets the child and the responsibilities that come with it. Beyond that, it's simply a math calculation. Child expenses added up. Then divided between the two incomes. The better earner has the bigger burden.
I love how this judge takes the attitude of these women into account when deciding how to treat them. She gives them the same energy back.
My mother screwed herself out of more child support strictly because she copped a bad attitude.

More people like that man need to be celebrated. I used to drive by our city’s water sanitation plant going to and from my father’s house. When my brother and I could drive ourselves over together, we started talking about how horrible it would be if the plant shut down. We spoke to my mom about it, and that’s when we found out many people don’t see these fine workers as actual human beings.😢

These judges in Houston are biased against fathers. My current wife and I of 15yrs have 2 children together and I had a work injury that took over 1yr 8mo to recover & rehabilitate. Never wanted to reduce my CP payment this whole time, but it needed to be done temporarily at least. I'm alienated and ostracized from my daughter by a manipulative narcissistic control freak with a bigger bank account than mine. Bottom line I was told to kick rocks and they squeezed what little MORE they could out of me. Put my family in some hard times and current pay still isn't what it used to be. AG suspended my work license and couldn't renew vehicles registrations for getting behind over 6mo worth of payments. They didn't take in account I was paying what I could every month, but it just wasn't enough. Had to take out a loan just to get back on track.. Guess this guy won't be catching a break any time soon. We need more unbiased judges like this that can see reality and rule in fairness.
I like this Judge. You can tell that she is low-key fed up of women who abuse the system and unleash terror on innocent hardworking men. The defendant looks so innocent and peaceful, yet so wicked. Besides racism, America also needs to sort out the child support system.
I heard a story once, where a man earned himself 30 days in jail for telling the judge "this is why young black men are selling crack" when she told him the amount of child support he owed each month.
I agree. She is the example to be followed.
Had an employee who made $1400 a month gross. After taxes and child support he went home with $400 a month. He was also involved in the child's life and had 50% custody. How on earth is he supposed to live and support the child on $400? He told me his GF had to basically pay all the bills.

Totally agree. Trying to encourage the kid to like football because that’s what is “appropriate” will not foster a good relationship with him in the long run but just make the child feel bad about himself for the things he does like. Or resent the father. But it kinda sounds like the dad doesn’t like his son already anyway and doesn’t want to build a relationship with him if he doesn’t like football. 🤦♀️

They act as an arbitrator. Their dicisions are binding,and can be challenged in the court. And also no show can find these number of actors and make them act so genuine.

This is what happens when you’re greedy. My ex sister in law took my brother to court for an increase in child support and the judge ended up ordering a reduction.

What my mother didn’t know was that the judge that day had a background in early childhood education and teaching children with developmental delays.
The judge asked “I beg your pardon?” To which my mother had the gumshoe to make her demand again. And that’s when she realized her mistake.
My mom got screwed that day. My dad paid for my portion of the camp on his own accord because I loved it so much, and he saw it made me happy. My mom paid for my brother to attend so he wouldn’t be at home by himself.
I only learned about the crapshoot of my parents’ divorce litigations after I turned 18, and I was dying of laughter.
I love how she, just single handed, showed every frigging judge in American how to distinguish and conduct a legit family court case with logic and not play into the scorned ex. Bravo judge!!!

I love this judge. Shes intelligent and so fair. So many people on child support to be punished by the other clearly greedy parents. I would love to have a judge like that in my area. I have worked in my local jail and so many good men being punished by the system bc of child support. makes no sense to me to take their license and throw them in jail then complain they are an absent father or mother. I think where the money goes should be on the children only; however, I’m not sure how I feel about the government “tracking” the parent’s spending. Further, if it’s found that the parent isn’t spending the money on the child, how would the court handle it? Just my thoughts. It just seems a bit intrusive to me.

I believe it's because those states skim some off the top, Pennsylvania for example skims a few dollars off every child support payment in "fees"; last I heard this amounted to millions of dollars in revenue for the state. I know from personal friends that New Jersey does it even more so. Most people don't know it goes on because the two parties never discuss what they sent vs what was received, otherwise they'd notice the difference.

I lost a custody battle in Georgia because the Judge had recently worked on a case where a father's child died while he was playing video games. He heard I was a gamer too and no matter what I brought forward regarding my ex's family's prescription drug abuses, he was biased against me from the very start, even though the GAL saw no reason why I couldn't be primary physical custodian.
