I'm a year into my individuation process. I started crying halfway through the video when I realized that as the youngest of three brothers, I have embraced the role of the Fool throughout my entire life as a survival trait in hopes of being accepted and as an attempt to fit in. Thanks a lot for your content ❤
Its just your programming people had told you that you are a fool don't believe them you are universe inside a skin you are Impulsive think before act is my advice for you love ❤️
I grew up with insecurity about my intelligence. I've struggled with this fear of being perceived as foolish my entire life. It's amazing how this insightful video has made me aware of how much the fool has to offer. Thank you!
The general public will reflect your intelligence back to you making you feel foolish. Some very simple things are met with the most blank confused looks
I, the Fool, am tired of this scum world and my ambition is to erase human dna and all human beeings not from this world but from this galaxy. Therefore I have to kill all humans first and then to make sure no DNA is left in the universe to destroy planet earth so it no longer exists in the universe. Humanity is degenerated. I truly appreciate the knowledge you are putting out brudda. It's never one side. We are born free to be we, choices dictate where we go. God gave us free will. Much love n respect.
The Fool is very smart because he is able to see the world from a different perspective and think outside the box. He also possesses a childlike curiosity and fearlessness that allows him to take risks and learn from his mistakes.
The Fool was my favorite character in Shakespeare's King Lear. He was the only character in the play to tell the king like it is and nobody took him seriously. If the king had listened to him, maybe it would've had a better ending.
The tragedy of this world no one "normal" listens to the fool, because they will stop being "sane" if they listen to a fool. People are afraid to look for gems in a mud.
We're getting to stuck on the word "fool" meaning stupid. Because that's what simple people believed him to be. He wasn't a fool, his job title was fool-- as in, that's what he does for a living. He gave advice and manipulated the King's thoughts under the guised of entertainment. His job was to fool. No one realized he had one of the most powerful positions in the Kingdom. And still don't.
@@iamgroot4706 simply put, a catharsis is the release of “repressed” emotions, such as sadness, anger, fear, and so on, it’s like a purge of emotions that story’s are (when told effectively) able to help release. For example, that ending with “Dog Days Are Over” in Guardians 3 provided (for some) a real release of joy, nostalgia, euforia, etc (i’m using the example because of your user name). The ending of this video was undeniably cathartic to me.
Your content is one of the best on RUclips, honestly the way you deliver the complexity of thought in an easy to understand and artistically engaging way is absurd.. Thank you!
Being a fool seems like an easy way out to many, but the fool harnesses an excruciating level of self and social awareness that never goes away, it’s like it’s only quelled by constantly making light of things and keeping out of controversy (except the controversy of their willingness to speak the truth)
The fool isn't a fool cause he doesn't know. They think he's a fool cause he doesn't understand. In the end nothing matters, life goes on. Once a human understand this, living free is easy as the "norm" claim its foolish. Who's the real fool 😊
Lately I am going through a lot of self doubt and anxiety. I worry so much about the future. Thank you so much for this, for it reminded me of the fool inside me, the fool that kept me going all these time.
I am a fool. It's my most precious property and a core part of my identity. It's also where I hurt the most. Your video gave me very valuable input to understand and position myself. Thank you very much🌻❤
I embraced the simplicity of the fool but only after a crisis. I do not pity the fool, I value him and his childlike wonder and playfulness of the world without complication. Without the fool, I would simply not be here. He is my guide into understanding myself. I have embraced the fool for without mistakes we do not learn and I accept that I am forever a student of life. This video is very clever and insightful. It explains alot of what I have come to realise in my own life without seeing some of the connections. I felt my mind was opened by epiphany after epiphany through watching. Great Work. Much Appreciated 😊🙏
I got to admit this is probably one of the most unique types of channel that I have ever had the pleasure of viewing on RUclips some of your videos on Carl Jung are some of my favorite that you have published they really have stirred a sort of a reawakening within me I have always been fascinated by different ways of thinking and different ways to rationalize this world around essentially the same thing that we all must endure and reassuring our waking self to all the various situations that we encounter day-by-day... Strengthening our resolve and building the experiences that will lead to a worthwhile meaningful life....
If you haven't come across it all ready... I would also recommend the channel, Academy of Ideas. Both channels are great expressions of philosophy and deep thinking.
It is videos like this that you cannot unwatch. It’s because they have such a profound impact on your conscious that you can never look at the world the same way again.
Simply put, this reflection is absolutely brilliant. The connections between myths and the arch that encompasses them all are both remarkable. Better than what you get in a postgraduate, top level psychology course.
I think The Fool is so revered because he doesn’t put rational and reasoning at the forefront of every decision, but rather follows through on pure and honest intent. Our rationality is what has elevated us above the rest of the animal kingdom, but it also holds us back. Just as we can reason ourselves into doing what is right, we can reason ourselves into doing what is wrong. Many people use rationality as a means to keep themselves from doing what scares them. The fool has no inhibitions here. He is unapologetically himself.
Within the realm of psychology, being a fool meaning, a mind without thought, is actually extremely powerful. A person who is without thought often seems like it sounds, sort of thoughtless. However this person is also free of worry, anxiety and judgement. They are able to perform calmy. They can persue and achieve goals without resistance. They simply do... A thoughtless mind is also fundamentally content and somewhat happy. They're pretty in tune with themselves which seems counterintuitive however an active mind also actively neglects parts of itself while it ruminates about the past or fears the future of what could happen. Again, a mind full of thoughts is not present. They are in tune with themselves and also others. Lack of judgement is freeing in that way. A lot of buddhist teaching is about emptying the mind and being present. When we are present, we cann more clearly see things as they truly are. When our thoughts are active, we often interject our biases onto things. In that sense, while the fool may seem foolish, more often then not, they see a world more true and clear than others. They may not understand deeply, however they know all they need to know. In that sense, a fool is incredibly dangerous. While someone may dance around a topic, thinking of the best way to do something, or the best way to avoid some form of suffering, the fool simplu chooses what seems convinient in that moment. Therefore the fool is extremely mobile in many facets of life. They are more experienced then most because they are much more willing and much more active where others are cautious. Definitely learn to be a fool. Learn which moments in your life are convinient not to think.
Be present don't be a fool tf lmao boy tried to make that tight 😂 a fool isn't present he just there not even. Knowing he's present, u fool 😂 a fool will lie to themselves to ignore intelligence it's not a good thing , tf 😂 try again in the fact u made a long comment just to make a fool of yourself is hilarious they are blissfully dumb and won't grow
could this possibly correlate with the concept of visual thinkers vs auditory thinkers. One thinks with their internal voice while the other thinks in patterns.

I’m going to show it to my parents, especially my dad, who often exhibits traits of a whimsical fool who chuckles to himself about silly things. The concept of the fool archetype is indeed a timeless one and can be traced back to a number of cultures throughout history. Psychologically, the archetype represents the impulsive and instinctual aspects of human nature that are suppressed in modern society. When folly is present, freedom is allowed to express itself and to be creative, offering a temporary escape from social norms and constraints. The wise fool figure illustrates the intricate relationship between reason and emotion present in humanity. Many professionals in areas like psychology, philosophy, and literature believe that individuals who can take advantage of both their wisdom and foolishness possess a special outlook leading to inventive solutions and increased imagination. Hence, what may seem insignificant on the outside is actually quite important for comprehending human thought processes.
Id take it further and say you can grace it back to Venus where the tarot cards were invented. They helped out a great deal with the inhabitants of that planet that they thought it could help us in the same way. They didn’t have an evil ruling class like we do.

A lifetime of wisdom condensed into just 40 mins. How many times must we make that first step only to arrive back at the beginning again, but wiser from the journey? It maybe the road less travelled but it is our road.
This is the very first video I've ever watched about archetypes and the first to introduce me to this concept. I feel like the Fool plays a huge part in my life and this essentially described how I go though life.
The fool who thinks they are the fool isn't a fool of wisdom but a fool of idiocy, everyone thinks they are the fool and are smart to think out the box but in reality the same as everyone else, those who think they are "normal" are the fools and wil never know it

I'm from Romania and we have a story about a character like this. We call him Păcală but in English would be The Tricker. One of 3 brothers and the small of the 3. His actions all the time seem fool and yet everytime like a mastermind despite messing everything up he always wins something or gets the advantage from something. He does stupid things like when his brothers told him to grab the door refering to closing the door while he grab the literal door and started to carry it with him. He does a lot of things that don't make sense for the people around him and yet everytime those stupid things end up helping him somehow. I never thought about the character fool in itself is a state of being something that makes us keep the balance. Untill I saw this video.. I'm gonna subscribe cuz I love the presentation so much. The story with the Tricker I always loved it since despite not knowing anything and not knowing to do things how he should he always gets something out of doing the wrong or the stupid thing. Is like the luck is fully with him always no matter what he does. While he sounds like you described the Trickster personality. He is not evil or wants to manipulate the people for his amusement but rather that's how sometimes tricks people without intending to trickt them. He is very believable and people tend to belive in his foolishness without second thought.
Again, the synchronicity of this video is absolutely insane. Like it makes me question whether I have free will or not, and makes me believe that the stars are aligned in order for us all to fulfill our own destinies.

A tricksters acknowledges and changes the cage it finds itself in. The fool carries the cage and shares its remarks into the cage. The fool is free from everything. Its free from expectations, free from responsability, free from norms, free from people, free from his thoughts and truly embracing its desires and flow of mind. A fool knows without thinking and treads with no caution. Always moving and bearing the ever changing cage. The step of a fool is a step of the world.
it seems u seek freedom and relating yourself as a the fool that is wise. naturally if u seek freedom you are doomed. time will tell that freedom is not waht u are supposed to seek. call me insane. but its true. just sharing
Wisdom is not a static endpoint - like admitting you're a fool, but rather a dynamic process. It evolves with you, shaped and enriched by the unique tapestry of your life-your failures, successes, relationships, and even your follies. If there were a "highest form of wisdom," it would be difficult, if not impossible, to encapsulate it in mere words.
I loved this one. The imagery was always on point, the literary examples ,intriguing, the script simply dope. Captivating stuff. I reget only stumbling onto this channel recently. It is one of the best i have and will ever come across. Thanks for this. I was tripping on the subject of the fool as the beginning, the center, and the 0 which represents the potential to become any number, point from which everything emanates, last year around May. It just kept expanding the more i thought about it and this video touched on a lot of what i was thinking about and some topics that didn't occur to me at the time. Anyway imma shutup. Thank you for this.
“In order not to suffer from anticipation, we’d rather experience failure and sacrifice success. This state of rumination and overthinking creates anxiety; one suffers more in imagination than in reality. Failures, however, can open new doors that one never imagined or expected to be open.”

Psychedelics are definitely currently being investigated for its therapeutic uses, but they also have the potential for real negative psychologic consequences, and they can definitely contribute for the appearance of psychotic episodes. Please be careful and always make conscious choices, there's nothing like overcoming hardships through sobriety.
Would love to see more of this video on the other Archetypes, you have such a great way of relating them to life, history, literature. Even well beyond their original source material in my opinion. The video on the Trickster was equally good as well! Really top notch work!
Very very interesting, and very erudite, much appreciated. I guess being like this is most feasible when one does not have the responsibility to support children. But it is vital that we have this kind of person in our society, otherwise we will become grid-locked psychologically, and life would be rather dull.

The fact that you ended this incredible teaching with a verse from Corinthians was cathartic for me. 10/10.
What is cathartic
@@iamgroot4706 simply put, a catharsis is the release of “repressed” emotions, such as sadness, anger, fear, and so on, it’s like a purge of emotions that story’s are (when told effectively) able to help release. For example, that ending with “Dog Days Are Over” in Guardians 3 provided (for some) a real release of joy, nostalgia, euforia, etc (i’m using the example because of your user name).
Much to explore , buddy
The most actualized I think, but also the most restricted.
A f o o l is what f o o l does
Excellent comment. I appreciate your perspective and wordsmithing!! 🤡👍
Excellent input. Thank you.
