You got this little mama 💪❤ you have gone through way worse, but I know how nerve wracking it is to inflict any kinda pain to yourself LoL but you did amazing 🤩❤
I used to be terrified of needles. I would cry getting a flu shot. But when I got cancer, & relapsed, I had to give myself shots everyday, twice. I also had to get 3 different ports put in too. So I became basically my own nurse, & I’m no longer scared.
I get b12 every 8 weeks from my doctors surgery. We don’t self administer those in the UK. I have pernicious anaemia which needs to be talked about far more. It’s life threatening and so many have it without knowing. B12 is so important to all of us. I don’t envy you having to inject yourself! Hope it helps you, Janelle! Take care x
Ask your Dr. If you are supposed to be doing IM or SUBQ injections. The needle you are using is an IM ( Intra muscular) however you injected shallowly into your abdomen in a sub Q (Sub Cutaneous) position, as well as at an angle which defeats the purpose of the medication. ( FYI, yes, I am a nurse, and Yes I take weekly IM B12 injections 😊)
@@TarotTea I was going to mention about the sterilization as well. I don’t know if she didn’t show it, but she needed to sterilize the top of the vial. Especially after touching it.
@@hilarygrey1446 that was the part that made me wince a bit, it seems kinda trivial but it can be sooo easy to transfer bacteria and cause a plethora of issue. Bless her for doing these herself tho, she’s a champ.
When I got my first b12 injection the doctor did it first and I said the arm and she said it was best in the butt cheek 😳 lol! That’s where she ended up giving it to me. Guess I had the most fat in my butt cheek 🤷♀️🤣
@@Nikki_5869 no, you have the biggest muscle in your butt cheek. It is not about fat, the injection goes in your muscle. Gluteus Maximus is the biggest muscle in your body and therefore ideal to put the injection in. Also less painful then when injected in a smaller muscle 😃
Why does that needle have to be so long ouch lol I think I'm going to get my self checked for vitamin levels..I feel like I'm lacking something low energy
If you’ve ever had Mono as a kid, you could be having a flare up. The flare ups are Epstein Bar Virus, which is the tracker in your labs that you’ve had Mono when younger. I’m currently doing b12 injections due to EBV flare up.
I think it would have been better to inject it intra musculair? (And that is why she had an i.m. needle, not a s.c.). I always was told to do so with vitamin B12.
@@jenniferleigh3767even in a hospital setting there is no need to wear gloves for injection. For certain medicines (that are harmfull when you come into contact wth them) it is for your own protection (as a nurse/person who gives the injection), would a bit of medicine come on your hands/skin, but for hygene it has no purpose. I literally call my mom and make her come give me my shots for my vitamin deficiency and my diabetes 😂😂😂or I show up at her doorstep with it in hand crying that I can't do it by myself lmao
The Botox in your forehead looks good. How much do you spend? I did it for awhile and then stopped. I want to start again. Makes the skin so smooth looking!!

I'm so proud of you ❤️I still watch you from Teen mom I wish you the best of luck ur beautiful inside and out Jenelle ❤️
I’m a dietitian yeah B12 can also cause neuropathy you should be able to use a sublingual B12 Daily
Child’s play.. I love those shots ! Take care
I give myself b12 shots every 2 weeks, then I do the monthly amovig and weekly ozempic. You get used to doing it yourself.
I used to do the aimovig and the imitrex shots and boy those were fun! So glad I have the nasal spray
Proud of you girl!!!!!

Girl I know what you mean. I’m a diabetic and I have to have insulin shots 5 times a day. It’s hard and no fun.
Get the short needle syringe. 31gauge. I do the B12 weekly
Yes! The needle she used was super long! Mine is short and makes it wayyyy easier.
Also it's alot easier doing it in your arm. This can be done intramuscular or subcutaneous.
THIS! ‼️‼️As someone who is deficient & has to get these injections too, my favorite go to spot is my arm!

You got this girl
I do injections every 2 weeks of dupixent it's nothing I have been doing it for almost 2 years
I used to have to take my shots for my psoriasis in administer it the same way pull it up out of a vial and before they made the epipens
Yes girly you got that! 🎉
I'm in the UK our b12 goes into our arm, it's so unbelievably painful also I get mine every 12 weeks thankfully
First time I did my own insulin shot in my stomach I was terrified Happy to say I'm not on insulin anymore 😊
Oh girl I've been diabetic for like 10 years almost 11and if I'm being totally honest still get anxiety sometimes taking my insulin
Needle is a bit too long for a subcutaneous shot. You should get 25g5/8 needle.
Unfortunately you get what the pharmacy has at the time. 😞 exact same needle I got for my b12
I think it would have been better to inject it intra musculair? (And that is why she had an i.m. needle, not a s.c.). I always was told to do so with vitamin B12.
Love the glasses 👓super cute!!!
I was scared for you lol ❤
Love you girl ❤
I give myself B12 shots. It’s not fun
My doctor told me to just buy B12 over the counter. I'm so glad that she didn't recommend the shots. I'd pass out for real.
I have to do mine every other Sunday also but I can't do my own!!! 😊
Why not take b12 supplements, that’s what I take everyday
Because for those with a B12 disorder, the issue is usually absorption. It therefore needs to bypass the stomach hence the need for injections.
There’s a pill b12 you can also get to much .
More brave then me I put mine in the bin no thank you 😮🙈😂
I have to go weekly.. weir how so many are having the issues!!! I'm scared! I'm on my 4th week. But my Dr does mind.
Glad I've always not liked even seeing a needle 💉...
Ya still haven’t painted that wall Jenelle lol, seems just like me I’m not I can of a DIY lol
Jab quick...
I have been doing those shots for years to myself easy Peezy
Ooh plz wear gloves and clean off the top of the container. Your putting bacteria straight into your body love. ❤nurse here
You're not supposed to use the same needle to draw, then inject. You're supposed to change the needle out..
@@kytruth1027That’s only for certain medications. But B12 doesn’t require you to switch out.
There’s no need to wear gloves in a home setting where you’re administering to yourself. Just wash your hands prior.

I have been giving my self shots once a week for 5 weeks now (im diabetic) and i still get nervous when its time to do it 😬..
Why not just eat better? Easier than a shot!
No drama or sympathy votes with just eating.
Janelle you're tougher than I am. I couldn't do that. 🫣🤬😩
Does the needle have to go all the way in or just half ?that’s scary 😮
Try being type one diabetic. I feel like a human pincushion. 😉
It’s not the suffering Olympics.
How the heck were you able to take the b12 home with you?!
The doctor prescribes it and you get it from a pharmacy just like you would any other prescription from a doctor.
I give myself a B12 shot every week. It's not crazy most Endocrinologist prescibe it
Honestly the belly fat shot hurts more than the thigh😫
Why can't you pant that wall stucko patch? So easy to do. So unsightly until so
I take Humira and the tummy is the easy spot..
Do it in your thigh girl ! I do the same thing .
B12 is an IM injection not a SC injection.
It can be either. SC is not as efficient and might mean injecting more often but will do what it's supposed to.
She had it delivered with a I.M. needle tho...
❤
Why do you need those?
Everyone requires B12, and sometimes you don’t get enough from your food💕I just started eating eggs, for my b vitamins.
