A message series based on the Gospel of Mark.
Mark’s Gospel is full of good news, in fact the opening words are ‘the beginning of good news about Jesus the Messiah’. It's all about Jesus and the life changing announcement he made about the kingdom of God coming near!
This opening talk offers an overview of the gospel and introduces the "kingdom of God" as the key to understanding Jesus and his mission.
Three main areas are explored:
1. The “outrageous” love demonstrated by Jesus to all those he encountered.
2. The significance of Jesus words, “it is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”
3. The challenge for every disciple of Christ, to be "filled with compassion."
