FIRST TRAIN IN SERVICE!! Brand New Class 730 on London Northwestern Railway (LNR)! - (13/11/2023)

Yesterday marked the first ever Brand New Class 730 Aventra Trains out on service onto London Northwestern Railway! These have been on test trials for quite some time, but are now finally ready for operation in passenger service. I was able to see the 1545 arrival from Euston, and departing the terminal on the 1554 service to Tring. According to some reports, these new set of trains are expected to replace the current class 319s that operate during weekday peak hours, alongside Class 350/1 some time in the future. So we may be bidding farewell to the 319s a lot sooner than expected. Of course, in the long run, Class 730s will be in full operation on all routes in the coming time.
Nevertheless, I had ridden the first ever evening service down to Harrow & Wealdstone and I have to say, I'm impressed! The design of the new trains are an excellent combination of Electrostars and Desiros, which is evident from the looks of the new trains, especially considering that we can walkthrough the entire train, including moving across the two units, which other Aventra family sets do not have.
Moreover, the seating layout is a huge improvement from the Class 720s in Greater Anglia, in my opinion, as I believe the 3+2 configuration just does not work, due to the narrow aisles. Nonetheless, the ride comfort is a massive upgrade from the vintage 319s and much quieter too, although personally I thought it was not too different from the current class 350s that the TOC currently uses on all routes. All in all, a great train in my opinion, and if you want to check them out for yourself, here are the headcodes!
