Aldo hit him, Yair hit him, Ortega in round 3, Gaethje knocked him down, Poirier almost knocked him out, Volk hit him all night. Topuria is a better boxer and has more power (1 punch KO) than any of these guys. What is going to happen when Max get constantly tagged? Good chins can only last so far. I love Max but this is a nightmare match up for him cause Topuria has amazing cardio as well. Ilia by KO or TKO.

Two Climent are brothers (Agustín and Jorge) mainly focused on BJJ, and Javi Climent is his boxing coach, but he is not related with Agustín and Jorge. And Topuria started as wrestler in Georgia, then BJJ with Climent brothers. Boxing is his last discipline 😅😅

The american didn’t capitalise on it though, and only landed a few (which is understandable taking into account he was getting his face busted). I think Volkanovski and his team have definitely noticed and will try to take advantage of it, but we also saw holes in Topuria’s boxing and cardio in the Bryce fight and he solved them all for Emmet. He might show up with an efficient leg kick checking game. I think he really has a good chance of knocking Volk out (or at least hurting him bad enough to find a finish) with his hands. Alex has been dropped in most of his recent fights (Islam knocked him down in both fights, Max did, Yair did and even Ortega), and Topuria hits harder than any of them. His boxing defence also seemed very polished against Emmet. It’s going to be a banger.
He's 27 years old I'm not lying he's probably the most talented all around fighter I've seen in MMA I've been watching combat sports since UFC 2 in the mid-90s mind you he's already the champion 1 by knocking out the pound-for-pound in the game volk ... He also throws very ordinary orthodox 3 piece combos at every opportunity. throwing in threes like he always does is a dangerous thing to do against a guy with footwork and counterstriking like Volk has. Ilia looks amazing beating on guys who are stuck in the mud - I just don't see him being a huge problem for the undefeated at featherweight champ. I have to lean on the champion experience and consistant top level opponents for this one. Ilia is in over his head with Volk.
