Maru isn't "prideful" (????). He is an innocent, as are all animals. We project our own flawed natures on animals all the time. As humans, it's our signal trait--immaturity, and its accompanying cruelty.
I have to totally agree! I have had many cats in my life but none are or were like Maru. He is so contemplative and self composed. Like in the shower. It seemed like it took forever and he just went along for the ride! And Hana, looks like my little girl but also has the wonderful disposition. I love them both 😊
If I had a cat that could do that... the amount of jumpscares would be real x) Doing something in the kitchen and suddenly a drawer smacks you in the shins...
@@zameliz my sister's cat already does that crap. I'll go into the kitchen to make something and in the middle of me cooking, something will dart out of the pantry and I'm left screaming in fear until I realize it's her 😭
@@HemiUnaka I feel ya, my cousin had a cat that liked to lunge at peoples feet from under couches. No warning whatsoever and suddenly you have this silly feline munching your feet >_> Scared the everliving crap out of me allmost every single damn time.
When I need a moment of thoughtless peace, without my mind going 1000mph, I watch some Maru videos. Thank you for your channel. You help people and you don't even know.
I am amazed at how Maru was able to hold and turn that blade of grass. My cat is pretty good with his paws, but not that good! That last part with Maru getting in and out of the drawer was AMAZING.
Smart cat....I really liked at the end when he opened that drawer, crawled inside, opened it up to get out and walked by the camera and gave us a "purr-meow". He's adorable.

I love how these Japanese uploaders keep it so simple - no music, just nice title plain title cards and clear videos- and yet rack up millions of hits. Our American videos overload on people trying to make a 'cool' video, yet most can barely crack a few thousand.
@@goldenmoon739 You are correct it isn't just an american thing. It's a bs idea spread by influencers and pop culture for kids thing as far as I can tell. I've always loved the simpler videos of anything although I cannot tell you if all do statistically better than louder ones. Sceince get on this!

だから、木に登るのは得意だけど
降りるのは下手なんだとよ
木から降りるのが下手なのは実は爪の生えてる方向のせいなんですよ
@Kei M そうなんです、それに猫は後ろ向きで進むということがほとんど無く前にしか進むことが出来ないので木から降りるのがとても苦手だそうです。ちなみに余談ですが爪が反対向きにも生えていて木から降りるのが得意なネコ科の動物も居るらしいです。

@Kei M すいません、私の勘違いで間違った情報を発信していたので訂正します。
私が示そうとしていたネコ科の動物ですが、爪が反対に生えているというのは間違いでありまして、正しくは後ろ足の関節を180度回して爪を引っ掛けることが出来るので樹上の移動に長けているでした。
以前見たテレビ番組で内容を勘違いしていました。勘違いで間違った情報を発信してしまって申し訳ありません。
追加でその動物について書かせていただくと、普段は一日の多くを樹上で生活していて狩りも捕食も樹上で行うほどでネコ科の中で飛び抜けて木登りが上手と言われているそうです。
