I had a BBQ at Taira Chestnut Garden "たいら栗園" in the middle of summer.
The BBQ site was so crowded. Some were making noises and playing laud music. Some of them got drunk.
I was annoyed, actually.
There was a river called the Koma river "高麗川" by the BBQ site. Waters were clear. The river was shallow and quiet. It was fun to play and swim.
I was pleased.
You can buy not only firewood and charcoal, but also BBQ ingredients. So if you want, you can have a BBQ without bringing anything from home.
Oh, one more thing. Though I didn't try it, you can enjoy picking chestnuts, blueberries or digging potatoes.
