Sitting at work alone, so this time i lost it. Crying like a baby. This brings back serious memories. I would play 4 9-inning games in one sitting at times. Boy oh, boy. That fade in sends chills. That laugh after he mentions Waveland avenue. Good god!
Look out, we got Yawkey Way (Boston) The Big A (Anaheim) The South Side of Chicago (Chicago White Sox) Queens (New York Mets) The City of Brotherly Love (Philadelphia) The Cuyahoga (Cleveland) Motor City (Detroit) Milwaukee Baltimore Oakland Le Stade Olympique (Montreal) Arizona The City of Angels (Los Angeles) Golden Gate (San Francisco) America's Finest City (San Diego) Puget Sound (Seattle) Bronx (New York Yankees) Toronto Twin Cities (Minnesota) Houston America's Heartland (St. Louis / Kansas City) The Steel City (Pittsburgh) Waveland Avenue (Chicago Cubs) Southern Hospitality (Atlanta) Queen City (Cincinnati) The Sunshine State (Florida / Tampa Bay) Deep in the Heart of Texas (Texas Rangers) Mile High City (Denver)
Twin Cities, Houston, America's Heartland, the Steel City...Wave, Waveland Avenue.... HAHAHAHA.... Southern Hospitality, Queen City, The Sunshine State, Deep In the Heart of Texas, Mile High City... Just the naming of all the MLB towns....epic.
The fact that I woke up today with this song in my head from over 10 years ago is blatant testament to the sheer level of EPIC this game possesses. Definitely deserves to be on utube....
@RLKDragon Hell yeah dude. I couldn't tell you how many hours of my childhood were devoted to this game. PC version was of course the way to go. And I agree, the menu music absolutely ruled.
"He's gonna try and pick him off all day! Strike three take a seat. Looks like there gonna have a nice little game of catch here, you coulda hit that one Buck" unforgettable quotes :D
Don't get me started on this amazing game & song, & game. It's 2014, and this is STILL my fave sports vidgame ever, & yes. I have every 'The Show' since 09, every NHL since '09, Madden, 2K football basketball & hockey. You name it. This rules them all. The phony commercials, the walk up song drums, especially the one: 'padapapadap, boom boom pap, boom, boom, boom, pap! The phrases: 'Big play strikeout,' 'That's a money pitch!' Don't get me started!
My favorite Baseball game on the PSOne! According to the game manual, the music was composed and performed by Mike J. Sokyrka. No name for the song is given
This Music Rules! Brings Back Memories playing this game all summer long! Does anyone know where I can find the Triple Play 1997 Music? The Stadium Fly in's and the graphics is what separated this game from its competition back then. As well as being the first baseball game with 2 commentators
Who remembers the funny in game promos like when they said this game is brought to you by "grandma so and so's Fried Ice Cream who needs ice cream cold when you can have it fried" i can't ever forget that LoL....
@dzeiger I wish I could. I tried ripping the rest of the music from the disk and it came out sounding like static. Somehow I was only able to salvage this tune. I actually do have another copy somewhere around here that may work though. I'll look around for it and see if I can rip the tunes from that. I'll keep you posted though.

This is how Sports teams should be introduced.

My childhood. Oh God.
Sounds like Tool’s Rosetta Stoned
I remembered I bought this game so I can play as Hideo Nomo in 3d lolz, then become one of my favourites.
That is unique style naming MLB team by their nickname of where they from
