The cured beef is called bresaola. I think this dude was saying "braciole" (although pronounced incorrectly) which is thinly sliced meat rolled up and cooked. So two very different things.
Okay, okay, I have NEVER wanted to eat this sort of dish, till this. I can see how this would be soooo much better than just cold, raw, melon wrapped in cured meats. Which has always seemed so UN appealing to me. This makes sense. I can't wait to try that watermelon and Bresaola!!!
I like the guy but I never understood the point of grilling fruits.. especially the ones that are a lot sweeter when chilled.. I would never want my melons to be warm, deprived of juice (on the surface) and deprived of nutrients (due to heat).
Melon, when it season at least, isn't extortionate and when you're using that little meat per serving it doesn't work out very costly per person, at least not compared to many other appetisers/starters. Also, it's quite a healthy dish, would you rather spend that little bit more now on good quality, fresh and healthy food rather than spending much more on healthcare down the line as a result of an unhealthy diet?
I love this guy's creepy, refined Hannibal Lechter quality...
OMG!! Hahaha what a strange yet weirdly accurate observation.
OMG you're a genius.... So accurate description.. What I was thinking about.. He is so mysteriously cute
He's one of my fave Everyday Food people. Very mysterious.

Usate solo Prosciutto crudo di Parma DOP!
He acts like he doesn't want to be there. Or do that.
So... This dish is for rich people then...

Olivia Arenas for rich people? This isn't that expensive and it tastes great
All those meats he mentioned are expensive! More than a few dollars.
The meats aren't expensive if you get them at the deli counter, sliced very thin. You only need a few pieces, probably less than four ounces.
they don't sell them at walmart, do they?
I'd like to think this is for April fools..??? It better be.. :/
Michelle Masri It's a normal starter in some parts of Italy/Western Europe
Michelle Masri Don't knock it, until you've tried it
Ooh! interesting :) idk, the rockmelon & honeydew seemed to be bordeline okay, but i just couldn't imagine watery watermelon being grilled.
Michelle Masri whats worse.. its rapped in prosciutto :/
