Super Junior will always be at the top for me
I mean SJ's Sorry Sorry, Bonamana and Mr. Simple are the three songs that went viral and became famous internationally although people at that time outside their target audience didn't know them
Super Junior's choreography is often more "simple" because Heechul was involved in a major car accident back in 2006 and it severely damaged his left leg to the point that he can't perform now because of it. Because the members wanted him to be part of the group, their choreography isn't usually as intense as other groups even from that time period (like TVXQ! and Shinee). They usually do dance breaks for their dance members instead. Eunhyuk and Shindong are generally considered to be two of the best dancers in SM. In fact Eunhyuk did a stage with Mark and Yuta from NCT and you can't tell which one of them is in his mid-30s.
Also you can't judge how many members are in Super Junior from old videos. They debuted with 13. Some left early one. Some took breaks at different times for the military. Some left later. There are 10 members now, only 8 are active in promotions.
Also also Sorry, Sorry is one of the national anthems of K-Pop. Even people who aren't into K-Pop know Sorry, Sorry. It's iconic and has been covered by literally every K-Pop group after them.
Sorry Sorry paved the way, the first ever kpop song to be included in billboards. The make history! If not for them hallyu wave will never be born.

For those who may not know a lot about Super Junior, to help you understand how influential and epic Super Junior are: The group was originally created to be a "project group" which meant that SM Entertainment originally put the group together with members who had all different talents within the entertainment industry, as well as singing and dancing. When the group was created they were considered the super rookies of the company so they were given the name Super Junior '05. The original purpose of the group was for the members to get more experience in all aspects of the entertainment industry while they also worked as singers and dancers. For example, Shindong and Eunhyuk were supposed to be training as comedians and hosts, Siwon was an actor, etc. (That is why the members of Super Junior are involved in all aspects of the entertainment industry today.) The original plan was that after about 3 to 6 months, when SM decided the members had gained enough experience, the individual members would graduate from the group and form other groups or move on to other careers within the entertainment industry, etc. and new members would be added to the group.
However, Super Junior gained a very large and vocal Korean fandom even before they debuted, and when the fans heard about SM's plan to have the members of Super Junior leave the group, the fans got together and demanded that SM allow Super Junior to stay together. With large scale protests and purchasing enough shares of SM stocks, fans became voting members of SM Entertainment's board of directors and were able to force SM to promise that Super Junior would become a permanent group. E.L.F. (Ever Lasting Friends -- SJ's fandom) are some of the most loyal and vocal of all Kpop fans.
Plus, I think one reason why fans were so upset about Super Junior '05's concept was the fact that the members of Super Junior were actually part of a larger group of trainees who the fans had watched go through an elimination process. The members who "made it" where the 5 members who originally became the members of TVXQ, and the members who formed Super Junior '05 were the "castoffs." But fans had already formed a bond with ALL the trainees, so they were upset that the other members who "didn't make it" (Super Junior members) might eventually disappear from the spotlight, etc.
When Super Junior first debuted in 2005 they had 12 members, but 6 months later Kyuhyun was added to the group to officially make them a 13 member group.
Then in 2008, SM created the very first Mandarin Chinese sub-unit designed to bring Kpop to the Chinese market and they added 2 new members to Super Junior (Zhoumi and Henry) and Super Junior officially became a 15 member group. However, Zhoumi and Henry were only allowed to be members of Super Junior-M. So, Super Junior is a 13 member group + 2 (Super Junior-M) members.
So, technically, Super Junior was "originally" a 15 member group. However, in the same way that the Korean ELF supported Super Junior and forced SM to make them a permanent group, in 2008 when SM announced the addition of Henry and Zhoumi and the creation of Super Junior-M, Korean fans protested yet again. But this time they were against adding any new members to Super Junior. So the Korean fans forced SM to agree to only make Henry and Zhoumi members of Super Junior's Mandarin sub-unit (they needed more Chinese members to make the Chinese sub-unit work), and they were not allowed to be included in anything to do with the main group of Super Junior.
Then in 2010, Hangeng (The industry's very first non-Korean member of a Kpop group -- he was Chinese) and Kibum left the group and Super Junior became an 11 member group + 2 (Super Junior-M) members.
In 2018 Henry left SM Entertainment, but he never officially left Super Junior. Now, before someone says "Henry is not a part of Super Junior any more," I want to point out that it has never officially been said that Henry has left Super Junior. Yes, he left SM when his contract was up after 10 years, and started his own independent company, but that doesn't necessarily mean he left the group. So, many true fans are holding out hope that this means he still may collaborate with SJ on projects in the future. (He is still living and working in Korea and he is still in contact with all the SJ members, etc.) After all, the 3 members of Girls Generation who left SM have said they would like to do something similar in the future. All three members of Girls Generation have said just because they left SM, doesn't mean they left the group.That's why when Girls Generation made their most recent comeback they did it as a sub-unit Oh!GG, because they weren't the full group. And even Taecyeon from 2PM recently left JYP Entertainment but his new company made a point to partner with JYP to allow Taecyeon to continue activities with 2PM. (Taecyeon was included in 2PM's recent comeback and activities.) And L from Infinite left Woollmin Entertainment, but he says he has not left the group. So, it looks more promising all the time that if Henry ever wanted to do something with SJ again, he could. After all, Henry is one of Lee SooMan's (SM's) favorite people. (Even though SM may have never allowed Henry to reach his full potential under them, which is part of the reason why he left the company. But I don't think there was any bad blood between them when he left, and he has always been one of SM's most prized artists for the amount of talent he has.)
Then last year, in 2019, KangIn officially left Super Junior, and now they have 10 members + 2 (Super Junior-M) members.
However, currently they have 9 active members. Sungmin decided to take a hiatus from the group in 2017 because of Korean fans' protest over him getting married. And now after almost 3 years, even though he had his solo debut last year, he has still not done any activities with Super Junior.
Zhoumi renewed his contract with SM in 2018, so he is still an "active" member of Super Junior, however, because he is native Chinese, and with the political issues between China and Korea right now, Zhoumi has not done anything with the group for almost 6 years. However, you might have seen that Zhoumi recently released 2 news songs "I'll Be There" and it features Kun and Xiaojun from WayV (Members of NCT's Chinese sub-unit.) ruclips.net/video/O1Aub1BsIYA/видео.html and just yesterday he released "Starry Night" with fellow SJ and SJ-M member Ryeowook. Korean version: ruclips.net/video/6Vli3asCZQY/видео.html and Mandarin version: ruclips.net/video/iac9dMW4zY8/видео.html Zhoumi is an actor, model, author, lyricist and song writer/producer, etc. in China. If it wasn't for all the political issues he would still be in Korea working with Super Junior right now. But because he is only a member of Super Junior-M and they aren't active right now because they can't promote in China, Zhoumi has been doing other things outside of Super Junior with his career.
So, as you can see, depending on the time period you will see a wide fluctuation in the number of members who are included in each of their songs, MVs and activities. Because they have such a large group with such a wide range of ages, the number of members have fluctuated over the years as the members have all taken their turns serving in the military, because of injury, and controversies that have caused some members to take time off, etc.
Actual henry is now in mystic entertainment where sm entertainment is the biggest share holder of the company with jong shin sunbae

The one who had glasses in Mr. Simple was Heechul and he's Momo's boyfriend. Shindong's the name of your bias and yes he raps. Check out "Charm of Life" , "Crown" and "Superman" to see him rap. Shindong is one of the talented idols in kpop. He choregraphs; he directs concert VCR, Music Videos and The Stage Performances of SM groups. Together with his fellow member, Eunhyuk, he also directed their own concerts. Shindong also has a great vocals.

The answer to your question of why the members increase or decrease, is depending on the year of release, Super Junior debuted as a group of 13 members in 2005, one of its members left the group at the end of 2009, another member was in hiatus from until he left the group, and others were absent due to Korean compulsory military service. Other members like Siwon and Heechul did not participate in some of the choreographies because Siwon was too busy with his acting career, and Heechul due to a traffic accident that he suffered a long time ago, and it is sometimes difficult for him to dance, that's why the choreographies Super Junior look "simple" or "loose" so Heechul can dance without a problem. I’m so glad you’ve started to react to some of the older groups because they’re so iconic but please can you react to girls generation (snsd) as they were one of the first girl groups that really paved the way for newer groups like blackpink and twice and many kpop fans still regard them as the queens of kpop :) i recommend:
- Into The New World (their first song)
- Gee (their most iconic song that pretty much every kpop fan knows)
- I Got A Boy (I think you’ll love this one because there’s quite a bit of rapping)

Sorry, Sorry is the first K-pop song that took over the world even before "Gangnam Style or Nobody but You".
Choreography became less complicated to accomodate Heechul. If you notice he's never much in dance versions. Heechul had a car accident in 2006 that left him with a busted leg and had iron rods now and over time made it difficult for him to dance.

Your bias is Shindong and he is the lead rapper and lead dancer of Super Junior. He revealed why he gets so little line was because he requested it. Super Junior was supposed to be a project 13 member group consisting of actors, singers, etc. Shindong was originally planned to be a gagman so he said that he is okay with fewer lines. But SJ got so popular that it became a permanent group. That's why he had a very little line in the early days. But he has been getting much more lines now recently.
Fun Fact: Shindong is also one of the choreographers for SJ and is also a director for MVs and concerts (for SJ as well as for other artists).

Older videos you may like are "Twins" (their debut song) and "Don't Don." Also, many of their live performances, because they KILL it!
There were originally 12 members of SJ, and they debuted in 2005. In early 2006, they gained a 13th member, Kyuhyun. "Sorry Sorry" is the earliest video you reacted to that has all 13 members in it, but not all of them appear at the same time. "Bonamana" came out next, and in this video, three members are not in it. Hangeng going through a contract battle, and left the company in 2010. Kibum stopped promoting with the group and showing up in videos after "It's You" (which came out after Sorry Sorry, but before Bonamana). Kangin started his military service in 2010. This is also why he is not in the "No Other" MV, which came out right after "Bonamana" in a repackaged album. But in that video, you counted 8 members, when there are actually 10. Kyuhyun and Siwon are not in the group dance shots, but you see Kyuhyun making the big heart on the wall and singing his parts, while Siwon is the one walking with the girl and tying her shoes, and singing his parts. I don't remember why they aren't in the group shots, but my guess is conflicting schedules. Kangin was still in the military for "Mr. Simple," but everyone else was in the video. Kangin started the 10 years that the members took turns going to the military. So, any video you react to, or see past 2012 will have a member or two missing. They are all done with their service, but Kangin left the group in 2019, and Sungmin has been on hiatus since 2015, but there are rumors he may make a comeback with the group soon.
Besides Shindong (Rat tail and bowl cut), the other members you were interested in were Donghae (Shiny rose guy), and Eunhyuk (cool guy and rapper in first video with the open shirt). Because the group was so big at the beginning (12, then 13 members), Shindong didn't get as many lines. Especially because a lot of their title songs focus on vocals more than rapping, even the upbeat dance songs. Shindong can sing, the whole group can, but lines were given to the main and lead vocals a lot. Eunhyuk did a lot of the rapping because he is usually asked to write them, but when he doesn't it often went to Heechul, who was more popular. To see Shindong really shine, besides the recent songs I mentioned above, I recommend seeing songs from their sub groups: Super Junior -T and Super Junior -H. Also watch "Charm of Life!" Trust me, it's short, but amazing. It has Shindong, Heechul, and Eunhyuk, feat. Sonar from MamaMoo.

The reason why many members were missing because they were busy with other schedules and military. SuJu originally had 13 members and SuJu M had 2 extra members (Zhoumi and Henry).Most of the members have now left the band and there are only 9 members still in Super Junior.Hangeng left SM and sued them as he felt he was treated unfair.Kangin left because fans started hating on him and the group after an incident where Kangin was wrongly accused.Sungmin had to leave because some fans were against him getting married and they claimed he "betrayed" them. Kibum left to continue anf=d focus more on his acting career.

Please do more SUPER JUNIOR. You are definitely gonna love more recent mvs. And it is very plausible for you to have heard them even if it wasn't for your sister. They became worldwide known. I started listening to kpop around 2012 but when I heard Mr. Simple I realized that I had that song on a CD I made over songs I heard on MTV a long time before that. I'm from Argentina and the fact that MTV in Argentina even considered showing SJ at that time seriously show how much recognition they'd gained since back in the day.
As a 21 year old that grew up with SJ, along with other 2nd gen groups, their diverse concepts/genres of their music is what captivated & stood out to me, each member is so talented in many different ways. SJ isn't afraid to try different things and that's what I love the most about them. This pretty much sums up why I've never left the ELF fandom, I'm so proud of how successful they are!💙
