Luke is a genius of our era. I can't describe how much he helped me to finally find my purpose. He genuinely inspired me to start e-commerce and it has completely changed my life. One point I learned the hard way. Don't take government jobs. I'm an artist and I was teaching art classes for 2 years with an government run community centre. I was the best at my job, I was irreplaceable, I sold out every class and had many returning customers and a waiting list for my classes. Every 6 months I would ask for a pay raise and get turned down every time. Basically it was "computer says no" I was in a certain category for salary based on my education level and job age and I was supposed to stay there.. My input, efforts, skills, popularity, money made for the workplace, didn't matter at all.

I plan to have multiple companies (product/service/manufacturing/etc) so they can learn every aspect and help them decide the path for them. The initial plan will be for them to help me run my business and we do mentoring once a week to discuss their ideas or plans. I will also want them to try out different areas of the business so they can learn each skill and see what it is that works best for them. It will be a slow starter and a service business is going to be my first priority which will eventually fund the start up of my product business. What is your dream?

My goal for now is to live free by making money via ecommerce, to do what I want, understand myself better, to have no limits in developing myself, organize my time how I want it, not how someones tell me to do. Even if that means working 24 hours a day, when I will accomplish this, the next goal would be something similar to what you two are doing. I commend you, but "hopefully" doesn't sound certain. Have you done a business plan and have you done a marketing plan, have you analyzed the market to see who your competitors are, how they make their money, how much they charge and what they are doing to get customers? have you analyzed your local market and how you will market your business? just some things to consider.
You don't need prayers, you need business education and a plan. I went all in on a Photography studio. I am a qualified professional Photographer, good at Photography and working with people, I thought that i was my passion and I enjoyed taking pictures that it would be enough to succeed in making it a profitable business. I was wrong. The studio I chose had too high overheads and I didn't have the marketing skills needed to generate enough business to break even and I ran out of money in 6 months, studio closed, game over. In hindsight, I would have built up the business from home just doing weddings and portraits, maybe hiring a studio if needed and then go full time in a studio once I had built up a profitable business and I had proved there was enough demand for my service. Could you go part time teaching and start your business on your days off? Have you got any orders yet for your Hampers?
If you ask me, the most important factor that goes to having, not just a successful business, but having the determination that goes to succeeding in life. Luke's message here clearly proves this - especially in his message of you have to fail in order to succeed. This is a very inspirational video and maked me relish what will happen in my life. I run a Christian clothing brand focused on designs for people who aren't afraid or ashamed to share the gospel. My vision is to build a strong community and support broken school systems and young people in need in the Central African Republic. Although I’ve grown a community of 13k followers on Instagram, my sales haven’t been strong enough to achieve this goal. I need to start selling more so I can begin making a real impact on lives.
Most people want to change their life because they’re already going through hardship, for example debt, difficult living situation, poverty, bad health, unfulfilling job, etc. So to say to someone to get out of hardship, you need to go through more hardship would deter people from wanting to make that change. I think how Luke pointed out, if you want to achieve a goal, you have to make it easier for yourself, i.e. eliminate distractions, turn off notifications, get a separate work phone etc. The way you speak to yourself during this time is really important, being hard on yourself will only lead to regression. You need to learn to develop disciple through repetition.

I have been mining for about 6 months now and just about every mine, it backfires and slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points I try to do top down analysis but it doesn't work for me . I say to myself, clearly I'm in the 90% that lose money, so I open a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take and get the same result. I'm starting to feel hopeless, any advice for a struggling trader?

Don't listen to her, don't give up. Mining takes time(months, even years) to master, even the pros learn everday. Never the less, if you lose money no matter which side you take, maybe you need to look at how you are managing active trades rather than how you are entering them. My advice, find a mentor . And also, try incorporating the use of oscillators, Bollinger and pivot points into your strategy. And most importantly move to higher TFs(4h or 1D preferably), you'll thank me later
You're correct, I don't lose money every single trade, but my main problem is trying to let my runners run. Very rarely do I catch big moves . Instead they go a few pips in my direction, then go against me if when I try holding them. Also my entries could use a lot of improvement. A mentor would be amazing, but getting one is easier said than done. If it's not too much to ask, do you know any legit ones?
I've been in touch with a financial advisor ever since I got into the market. Love this! Last year I was very close to getting a relatively nice car on lease for 3 years because I could afford to. Then when I saw all the tech layoffs I went back to the drawing board and decided not to get one because should I get laid off I would really struggle to pay it off. I’m happily driving my older car now because I’m not in debt and can leave my company at the drop of a penny. We also bought a cheaper house outright in cash (which needs a lot of work/renovation) but we have no mortgage payment so I feel like it’s a win. Being debt free is soo freeing. Now I’m considering starting my own business and once it starts to pick up leave my 9-5 tech job. It’s very tempting to buy the designer handbag and the nicest car where everyone else around you is doing the same but I will resist temptation until I can actually afford it.

One point I learned the hard way. Don't take government jobs. I'm an artist and I was teaching art classes for 2 years with an government run community centre. I was the best at my job, I was irreplaceable, I sold out every class and had many returning customers and a waiting list for my classes. Every 6 months I would ask for a pay raise and get turned down every time. Basically it was "computer says no" I was in a certain category for salary based on my education level and job age and I was supposed to stay there.. My input, efforts, skills, popularity, money made for the workplace, didn't matter at all.

I plan to have multiple companies (product/service/manufacturing/etc) so they can learn every aspect and help them decide the path for them. The initial plan will be for them to help me run my business and we do mentoring once a week to discuss their ideas or plans. I will also want them to try out different areas of the business so they can learn each skill and see what it is that works best for them. It will be a slow starter and a service business is going to be my first priority which will eventually fund the start up of my product business. What is your dream?

I want a service and a product business so they will get traning in all aspects of running and starting a business. Giving people the freedom to try different areas and get full training in different areas. I wont hire for 1 specific role, whoever is to join me can get full access to any part of the company that they want to learn. I also want to give them weekly mentorship for free where they can discuss any ideas they have and if i can help them or point them in the right direction. I commend you, but "hopefully" doesn't sound certain. Have you done a business plan and have you done a marketing plan, have you analyzed the market to see who your competitors are, how they make their money, how much they charge and what they are doing to get customers? have you analyzed your local market and how you will market your business? just some things to consider.

I went all in on a Photography studio.
I am a qualified professional Photographer, good at Photography and working with people, I thought that i was my passion and I enjoyed taking pictures that it would be enough to succeed in making it a profitable business.
I was wrong.
The studio I chose had too high overheads and I didn't have the marketing skills needed to generate enough business to break even and I ran out of money in 6 months, studio closed, game over.
In hindsight, I would have built up the business from home just doing weddings and portraits, maybe hiring a studio if needed and then go full time in a studio once I had built up a profitable business and I had proved there was enough demand for my service.

If you ask me, the most important factor that goes to having, not just a successful business, but having the determination that goes to succeeding in life. I run a Christian clothing brand focused on designs for people who aren't afraid or ashamed to share the gospel. My vision is to build a strong community and support broken school systems and young people in need in the Central African Republic. Although I’ve grown a community of 13k followers on Instagram, my sales haven’t been strong enough to achieve this goal. I need to start selling more so I can begin making a real impact on lives.
Most people want to change their life because they’re already going through hardship, for example debt, difficult living situation, poverty, bad health, unfulfilling job, etc. So to say to someone to get out of hardship, you need to go through more hardship would deter people from wanting to make that change.
I think how Luke pointed out, if you want to achieve a goal, you have to make it easier for yourself, i.e. eliminate distractions, turn off notifications, get a separate work phone etc. The way you speak to yourself during this time is really important, being hard on yourself will only lead to regression. You need to learn to develop disciple through repetition.

I have seen and learnt over the years that soft skills so important and have adopted these ideas when raising my kids. Likeability, rolling up your sleeves, getting to work, efficiency, articulate, but also community and the network of people you surround yourself with.
Rate this vid high. NERD TIP - on the overhead/birdseye view camera, once you've set up and it's focused just turn the lens to 'manual focus'. Then it wont blur in and out and be blurry when hands or people move and write.

I have been mining for about 6 months now and just about every mine, it backfires and slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points I try to do top down analysis but it doesn't work for me . I say to myself, clearly I'm in the 90% that lose money, so I open a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take and get the same result. I'm starting to feel hopeless, any advice for a struggling trader?
Indeed, the recent market downturn serves as evidence that a vast majority of individuals lacked a sufficient understanding of the underlying financial dynamics at play.
Don't listen to her, don't give up. Mining takes time(months, even years) to master, even the pros learn everday. Never the less, if you lose money no matter which side you take, maybe you need to look at how you are managing active trades rather than how you are entering them. My advice, find a mentor . And also, try incorporating the use of oscillators, Bollinger and pivot points into your strategy. And most importantly move to higher TFs(4h or 1D preferably), you'll thank me later
You're correct, I don't lose money every single trade, but my main problem is trying to let my runners run. Very rarely do I catch big moves . Instead they go a few pips in my direction, then go against me if when I try holding them. Also my entries could use a lot of improvement. A mentor would be amazing, but getting one is easier said than done. If it's not too much to ask, do you know any legit ones?
I've been in touch with a financial advisor ever since I got into the market. Knowing today's culture The challenge is knowing when to purchase or sell when investing in trending stocks, which is pretty simple. On my portfolio, which has grown over overboard and been making about $1500 bi-weekly, What I'm trying to say is the 5% of traders in the world that are consistently profitable are very reserved, they are just random/lowkey people no one even expects. Love this! Last year I was very close to getting a relatively nice car on lease for 3 years because I could afford to. Then when I saw all the tech layoffs I went back to the drawing board and decided not to get one because should I get laid off I would really struggle to pay it off. I’m happily driving my older car now because I’m not in debt and can leave my company at the drop of a penny.
We also bought a cheaper house outright in cash (which needs a lot of work/renovation) but we have no mortgage payment so I feel like it’s a win. Being debt free is soo freeing. Now I’m considering starting my own business and once it starts to pick up leave my 9-5 tech job.
It’s very tempting to buy the designer handbag and the nicest car where everyone else around you is doing the same but I will resist temptation until I can actually afford it.
My goal is to be able to run an online business from home, with my parents retired, in a nice house with clean drinking water, organic food, and the kids running around in the tallgrass field with the family dog.
