Anyone else feel Peter's letting his channel be used by Jonah Scott ? What's the point of two voice-overs? Very confusing, but I hope Peter's sharing the profits.
I remember the first time I went to Busch Gardens to ride The Big Bad Wolf. I had some vacation time from work and wasn’t sure what to do with it. My colleague Louise handed me a section of the New York Times newspaper that Sunday, and as soon as I opened it, there was a big spread about the opening of The Big Bad Wolf in Williamsburg, VA. I fell in love with it right away and made all kinds of arrangements and reservations to head to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg to ride it. The day I got there, I almost didn’t get to ride it because it wasn’t ready and was still having issues. But the next day, I finally got to ride it, and man, it was the bomb! It was the first suspended coaster I had ever ridden. The way it came off the hill and swung over the village-type houses was amazing. My favorite part was when it swung alongside the villages and there was a church bell that made an echoing bong sound as if the coaster had hit the bell as we flew by. It was great! When the coaster came down by the river, it felt like it was going 60 miles an hour, swinging back and forth. Oh my god, I loved that coaster so much that when I was a truck driver, I took the name “The Big Bad Wolf” as my CB handle. I sure do miss that ride, but I’ve heard rumors that they might bring it back in a different format at Williamsburg. That would be a great tribute to the original Big Bad Wolf. I love saying that name, “The Big Bad Wolf.” It sounds like me, LOL.
Busch Gardens has had many fine rides. Although it wasn't the fastest or tallest roller coaster, the Big Bad Wolf really was something special. The suspended aspect was unique for most theme park guests, especially during the first decade or more of it's run... the atmosphere and theming was world-class... and for me it was always my favorite of the park. My favorite memory of this roller coaster, and any other for that matter: after years of riding the Big Bad Wolf, I rode it once at night, and the operators decided to turn off ALL of the track and theme lighting. It was like riding a roller coaster blind-folded, but getting just the faintest glimpses of trees and scenery you thought for sure you were going to run into. Scary? Yeah... but fun as hell.
I was there that summer in ‘84 …didn’t get to ride The Big Bad Wolf because it wasn’t operating that day for some reason …but I remember there being a lot of merchandise at Busch Gardens celebrating it’s grand opening that year.
This was my 1st or 2nd “adult” coaster. The other being Loch Ness. Now I adore coasters but those two started it all. Seeing this gone makes me wonder if I could ever ride it’s replacement without getting rather depressed. The kept the drop layout but I highly doubt it hold up banking the water to swinging out over it.
Dude I’m actually amazed that you got Legoshi to help you with the narration. Also I look back at this coaster and thank it cause this got me wanting to get on more coasters.

My parents loved this ride and was so excited for when I'd finally be tall enough to ride it. Of course I was tall enough like, right after it closed :(
I went to BGW twice back in the mid 2000s but since I was small I didn’t ride any coasters, much less BBW. I went again last year and still rode nothing.
Kings Island had the first arrow suspended coaster built and also the last one built.. after reading all about the bat's history I was surprised that are Kings Island had them build them another suspended coaster less than a decade later.. I mean I know they saw that Arrowhead figured out what they did wrong with the bat but still it's like if you hired a company to build you a house and all you had were issues with it to the point where you had to totally tear down the House down and then several years later you had that same company build you another house.. I mean the bat that's currently at Kings Island is not bad first time I wrote it was when it was top gun then again when it was flight deck and then the bat.. But since cedar Fair is been getting rid of old arrow coasters I hope they don't decide to get rid of the bath because I've had enjoyable rides on it back when it was managed under Paramount.. but I know with arrow being out of business parts are hard to come by.. So I'm just hoping the next coaster Kings Island gets rid of is invertigo because in all honesty that should have went before Vortex.. RIP Big bad wolf RIP The Bat (Original) RIP Vortex
