This reminds me of helping my wife when her grandfather would set up small fireworks shows, he was a licensed pyrotechnician and he would do small shows along the i-5 freeway in Northern California on July 4th. Our job was mainly to grab them from the boxes and hand them over to be launched, we didn't have the fancy electronics mostly. Every once in a while one would explode just after leaving the tube, or sparks would get in the boxes with the other fireworks, that was mildly terrifying.

It's cool that big teams let them do bigger, fancier stuff, but I feel like those teams get a bit in the way between us and the guys. I feel like they were more comfortable being themselves in front of the camera when it was just them and their voluntarily engaged audience, without any "nonsense-intolerant" or "normality-encouraging" outsiders as employees.

In india we use tons of assorted colour powders throwing on eachother during the festival holi and in kerala there is a temple where we conduct colourless daytime fireworks and i used to think of this idea about a decade back and the bloody people who know me never allowed me to speek. This video is fantastic. Thanks.
