  • Session 1 of OpenCV 101 short course: A quick start guide to OpenCV. This session was presented by LLNL staff scientist Matt Rever at the Edward Teller Education Center on Aug. 15, 2016.
    Abstract:
    This course will provide a pragmatic, hands-on introduction to OpenCV suitable for any engineers or scientists who work with images and/or videos and wish to add a variety of classical and state-of-the-art vision algorithms to their toolbox.
    The course was sponsored by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's Center for Advanced Signal and Image Sciences (CASIS), LLNL's Engineering Directorate, and was co-sponsored by the Oakland-East Bay Chapter of the IEEE Signal Processing Society.

    pycharm is more user friendly than Jupyter.

    can anyone load openCV in ARDUINO (TM) and work out from there?

      That might work better with a Raspberry Pi. Since the openCV library is bound to run on a operating system.

      I've seen it implemented in C, so that shouldn't be a problem

    Someone should make JavaCV documentation. Because no one can find some examples or other things for Java.

    FAIL. I can't get cv2, opencv or other variant to install. It's the usual story with Python, some import fails and nothing works. Python is garbage, this course should treat the audience as adults and use the C++ interface.
