I wholeheartedly can say that once I stopped playing only competitive multiplayer games, I started enjoying gaming so much more: and I discovered my favourite genre of all time: starting with Elden Ring.
The game gets a rep of being particularly challenging but as someone who played every game on the easiest difficulty setting prior to Elden Ring (which has no difficulty settings), the game is as easy or hard as you want it to be. And to be frank, the harder the game got, the more I found myself enjoying it, even after dying hundreds of times to bosses. I'm now doing a challenge run of the game restricted to level 1, and i never have had this much fun or the same feeling of accomplishment. You have your own extra difficulty modifier with your disability, but don't let it put you off, some people have beaten the game by attaching electrodes to a banana! You can also do coop runs with friends or viewers if that is more your style, or just summon help from other players for individual bosses.
But regardless of what games you choose to play, enjoy the journey and keep an open mind: you never know what gems you might discover! Enjoy 2025 :)

Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s amazing how exploring different genres can change your perspective on gaming, I've certainly found gaming more relaxing since starting this challenge so long may it continue. I'll add Eldin ring to the list.
