- Friends, as we resume Ordinary Time, I want to talk to you about vocations-specifically, vocations to the priesthood. Our Gospel for today from Matthew shows us the call of the priest: to be a shepherd of lost sheep, a warrior against unclean spirits, and a healer of sin-sick souls-one that teaches and preaches and proclaims the kingdom of God. This summons from Christ has been the greatest joy in my life. If you are feeling the call, don’t ignore it; follow it.

Let it be known to all: Through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit!
Hear me when I say, ye that are Catholic have been deceived and know not God. Ye worship Mary, praying to her; when God tells his to worship none other than him. It is idolatry.
Catholicism has its own Bible and teachings, which are blasphemous to the word of God: the Holy Bible. As ye follow the teachings of man and not God; ye hear the pope, but not Jesus, yet ye claim to be his disciples!
These are but a few things I named ye dwell within; there are many more. I tell you now to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you'll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon asking the Father!
There are *NO* sub-divisions of Christianity. You're either a disciple of Christ or not. A Christian is someone who follows God's word, not a religion. Who obey the Father and follow his will; not man's nor their own heart's. Unless you keep Jesus' commandments, think not the Holy Spirit will dwell within you!
They who heed this message and did what was stated with an open heart to God...
Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask:
"Lord I ask that you give me understanding of your word, that I interpret it the way you want me to, and none of my own. I ask you in Jesus' name, amen."

As a lay Catholic woman, I have a clear call on my heart to bring the lost sheep in my life to a good and holy priest who will do exactly as you say he should. ❤ There are many lost souls / sheep who need guide to God’s saving grace.
I pray everyday that God provides the way for me to bring the lost sheep back to the shepherd who lovingly waits with open arms 🙏🏼🙌🏻🫶🏻
It's not just empty words, I myself was a lost sheep who came back into the fold in large part due to Bishop Barron's eloquent explanations of the faith. This was back in 2015-16 and it's great to see him still going. God bless.

I have been feeling drawn to the priesthood for almost 3 years now and recently decided to go for it. I applied and will start the adventure after summer. To anyone thinking about it for a longer period of time.. find yourself a good spiritual director and go through the descerning together, you can't do it alone! And than make a decision, and if you decide to go for it, in the first year especially you will have plenty of time to discern your call more deeply. It is worth it to go deeper into discerning because you also have to dig very deeply into your soul and I have found healing and my faith has definetly grown during that time!

The Spirit must have fallen on Bishop Barron mightily. He is the shepherd of us and how we love to be in his flock as he guides us to our Lord Jesus Christ.
We need priests from cradle to grave and every step in between those milestones. I pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. What priests do for us is so profound. No one but a priest can change the bread and wine to the Body and Blood of Christ. No one can heal us of the nastiness of sin but a priest who stands in for our Lord. Yes we are in desperate need of priests. Hear our prayers Jesus and inspire our young men to the priesthood. Our salvation depends on it.
I bet by grace of God there are hundreds of souls who are destined to shepherd his sheep,the Church, by charity and joy. When I despair, I remember that all through history, the way of LOVE and TRUTH has always won..there have been tyrants and murders, and for a time they may seem invincible.. but in the end they always fall, Think of that, ALWAYS.... GANDHI
Please pray for me and my children prayers are all I NEED. I know Jesus is coming back soon! So it is vital to trust in Jesus even when we are going through a challenging situations. Jesus I trust in you even as I struggle providing for my children. Jesus hear my prayers. Since covid I fell on a terrible hardship. I lost my job for declining the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health conditions. I suffer from lupus, and heart disease. I’m a single mom, my husband is with God. My children are autistic. I’m overwhelmed because I’m struggling to provide for my children. I’m now waitressing and I’m so thankful but not making nearly enough. Jesus hear my prayers. Every month is a struggle not to end up on the streets with my boys. Every month I have a hard time coming up with rent. I receive so much hate for simply asking for prayers! It’s discouraging and making me question my religion. My faith is getting weak. The devil wants me to give up but God won’t allow it. I have faith that God will provide he has this far. All things are possible through Jesus Christ Faith over fear! ❤ 0:09
You’re faith is stronger than you think. It’s easy to serve God when things are easy and going our way. But it seems you’re very special to God and He is making you a Saint. Stay in there with Jesus and His Mother, and don’t give into despair. Let Him finish His work in you. 😊
I pray that you find rest in some places in the world, and know that this is how God will comfort you. Do not mistrust everybody but rather trust in the strength of God to restore this broken world and all us sinners. Hold on to your faith. Jesus is faithful to you. Allow yourself to be weak when you cannot find the strength within you to do everything and once. Think about what is most important, and use the strength you receive for that. You will flourish and your children will flourish. God will not leave you. I pray that you come to know this so deeply that no worldly storm can trouble you. The war is against the spirits. The world is fine. May you find peace in it. Love in the name of our Lord and friend Jesus from Germany (from a fellow struggling disciple. Please pray for me, too)

In this time of worldly and spiritual turmoil, Bishop Barron maintains a sense of calm without failing to project the urgency of the message. I personally am going through great challenge and find Bishop Barron and my local Priests here in Australia as solid foundation to rebuild my faith. I am weak and fall hard regularly, but continually strive to get up and go forward toward the Light, thanks to their understanding of the human condition and their ability to convey spirituality, faith and grace in simple terms!

Happy Father's Day Bishop Barron. A great sermon, but what struck me were the intonations of your voice when you spoke of your calling. Wow, it must be a wonderful feeling. We had a nun in our family, Sister Mary Angela who had the calling at age 13. She spoke of it often and inspired us all with her commitment to the Lord and to the Ursula order. She was also living proof of Christ's healing power since she beat cancer twice in her life and lived to 95. Still working from the other side she brought family members together that returned to the faith. I love her and miss her so much. Blessings to you and to the whole world!

This was a beautiful, inspirational sermon…on the calling to priesthood. PS. Shepherds are very underrated…it’s a 24/7 job…. and although you don’t think of it as a dangerous job…a good shepherd must be very brave…to fight off the occasional pack of hungry wolves or anything else attempting to harm his flock. So the Shepherd, Warrior, Healer is the perfect title for this sermon. ♥️✝️

« That’s the life for me, that’s what I’m supposed to do ». True priestly shepherding is perfectly captured in how «being called to» and «having have to» are associated. To protect with your own life those God has entrusted to the shepherd priest and do it out of love is not the same as managing a flock. The former is a vocation, the latter is a career.

Just discovered a local pre-Vatican 2 church near Seattle with BEAUTIFUL stain glass windows… such amazing beauty - with many depicted saints and aspiration that draws us closer to God and our Catholic faith. Got to love and appreciate the faith filled beautiful architecture that “functions” as evangelization as well.
