Many thanks for uploading this excellent tutorial to RUclips! It's really helpful, I'm trying to solve some electrical problems in my "new" '73 Beetle.
I was golden tell i seen the bearing postion sensor bawahaha fucked me all up lol why couldnt you cover a real wiring situation like the fuel pump circuit something people can hands on use to help learn. Other then that youve answered alot my questions so thanks for that and the laugh
Years ago we looked into licensing legit versions of wiring diagrams for class room training and it was going to be.... very expensive... per year... so an original wiring diagram was created for training.
Why did VW ever do it this way. Just to be different? I've worked on all sorts of electronics, cars and even airplanes and they all use the old fashioned way.
Aha ha ha ha, what's a 'hick'? Good tutorial here. I've used VW electric schematics for a number of years now and have managed to work my way round them. I didn't know about the male/female terminals highlighted by the little symbols, so thanks for sharing this.
As a new VW tech having trouble grasping wiring diagrams, this video is so incredibly helpful. VW gives you a 100 page booklet and asks you to take a test, quite difficult for me to retain info that way. Thank you so much!
Brilliant! This is a much more intuitive way to track power flow through a circuit. Traditional diagrams have me going round like a maze.
"muffler bearing wiring harness" ahahah
muffler bearings!!
I so wish that I had this info when I did my motor swap 2 years ago. I had to figure out (most) of it on my own
Thanks guys
